Summer Time Rendering
Following the passing of his parents, Shinpei Ajiro opted to live with the Kofune family and their two daughters, Mio and Ushio. He relocated from his island home to pursue further studies in Tokyo only to return when Ushio drowned while trying to save a little girl, in a tragic incident. While paying his last respects at Ushio's funeral, Shinpei's closest friend disclosed the presence of bruises on Ushio's neck, implying foul play, and provoking suspicion regarding the cause of her death. Shinpei initiates an inquiry into recent events and notes that peculiar happenings persist on the island. People are disappearing at an alarming rate, and Mio recollects a folktale she heard during her childhood about "Shadows," presumed to be supernatural beings. As per the legend, encountering one's Shadow implies a forthcoming demise. Despite the gloomy environment on Hitogashima Island, Shinpei perseveres, determined to fulfill Ushio's final wishes of safeguarding her sister, Mio.

However, both Rock and his kidnappers are unaware of the dark secret contained within the stolen disc, leading to a swathe of confusion and chaos for all involved.

Fushi, after bearing witness to countless disasters and deaths, decides to live a solitary life on an island where he battles ferocious Nokkers. Unexpectedly, the Nokkers start assaulting nearby communities to draw Fushi out of hiding. Hisame, the great warrior Hayase's descendant, leads a group of defenders called the Guardians who are famous for shielding the world from the Nokkers. They ultimately find Fushi, who at first refuses to join them but changes his mind upon learning of the recent Nokker attack. Upon arriving at the village, Fushi reunites with old acquaintances and forges new alliances. Nevertheless, the ongoing war with the Nokkers exacts a heavy toll, and Fushi must summon the strength to confront the agony that lies ahead.

An unknown cosmic entity referred to as 'It', descends upon Earth to be observed from a distance. It has the ability to transform into any being whose reflection it captures. Firstly, It takes on the appearance of a rock and when the temperature increases, transforms into moss. For a long time, It remains motionless until one winter day, a dying wolf limps past It. It changes its form to that of the wolf and gains the ability to perceive its consciousness. With an uncertain destination, It sets out to wander. On its journey, It meets a young boy who is waiting for his tribe to return from their expedition to a south paradise, abundant with fish and fruit. Although the boy is lonely, he hopes to reunite with his loved ones. The boy chooses to join It and search for the paradise by following the clues left behind by his tribe. However, the boy's deteriorating health and the absence of his elders raises concerns about his future. Fumetsu no Anata e captures the emotions and experiences of an immortal being discovering humanity and encountering various individuals, in various settings, throughout different eras.

From Up on Poppy Hill
Coquelicot Manor, a boarding house run by Umi Matsuzaki's family, sits atop a hill overlooking a seaside port. Umi manages many of the daily tasks involved in running the small establishment and also attends a local high school. However, the school is facing a small crisis as an old clubhouse is set to be demolished to make way for a modern building in anticipation of the upcoming Olympic Games. A large group of students bands together to prevent the demolition, including Umi, who helps the newspaper club spread information about the cause. It's through this activism that she meets Shun Kazama, whom she slowly falls in love with. As they search for clues to Shun's mysterious past, they discover that they may have more in common than expected, despite his being an orphan.
