david tennant did the bafta host with his nonbinary pride pin and fuzzy sweater and a cutedog , songged his wife on the red carpet and then subjected everyone to his funny weird dynamic with micheal sheen , did not dis anyone , did not make an aweful comment about anything, wore stellar outfits being the most gorgeuse person out of everyone, give everyone proper respect and attention, finished the job and went home to do an eye mask and rest his feet.
i truly admire him. truly one kind of a man.

I headcanon that crowley hates halloween. He hates the attention that hell gets once a year and he hates how inaccurate everything is. He keeps saying to aziraphale how those demons don't look realistic at all and these humans should see some real demons once in a while.
Aziraphale on the other hand loves halloween. He loves the silly costumes and he also loves how people get sweets and says it really helps the neighbourhood get to know eachother.
Every year, aziraphale forces crowley to find a costume (a new one each year) and they go trick or treating together. At first, crowley isn't enthusiastic and hates it but by the end of the night, he's so giddy and wants to go to more houses. Azi has to drag him back home.
Each year they go through the same cycle and crowley denies ever enjoying this holiday

Helloooo I'm gonna talk about aziraphales character development thought good omens and why I think he may have gone with the metatron.
It's clear the main focus of aziraphales development is for him to realise hevan is not always good and that sometimes it's okay to do something morally wrong. Crowley acts as his mentor to teach him this valuable lesson
Most flashbacks in the show focus on this. For example the first scene of S2. Angel crowley is admiring the stars and when azi tells him it's all going to go in 6000 years, crowley thinks this is wrong and want to tell that to god and to also suggest some better things for him to do. Crowley is not trying to be evil, he's simply trying to tell god how to be better and even more good. Similarly, in the garden, crowley criticises god and says he shouldnt have made the tree so easy to get to and how he doesn't know what's bad about knowing the difference between good and evil. In both these scenes, crowley isn't being evil, far from that, he's trying to be good and suggest good things. The hope is that aziraphale will realise god can have faults and he isn't always perfect.
Also, in some biblical flashbacks such as the story of job or noahs arc, the main focus is that God can make some pretty bad decisions sometimes. Releasing a flood that will slowly and painfully kill everyone is not a 'good' or 'heavenly' thing to do, same with punishing someone who did nothing wrong, yet, because God does it, all the angles just believe it's okay. Crowley was smart though and realised somethings god does are bad - this made him fall - crowley is now aziraphales guide to realising those problems.
Also, aziraphale struggles with morality in some of the flashbacks for example at the resurrectionist in Scotland. It's morally wrong to take a dead body out of its grave yet its morally right if that body gets used for science to save multiple people's lives. Crowley plays a big part in teaching him that this is for the best but aziraphale really struggles with this idea because as an angel, he's always been taught what's wrong is wrong and what's right is right unless god does it. To aziraphale, taking the body out was too bad and no good can come from it. Yet with a little bit of 'develish' thinking (not evil at all just not what the angels are taught to beleve) he can accept that some things can be done for the greater good.
This idea is shown thought the show and it's clear that it's aziraphale's character development - realising god is not always right. Therefore, it only makes sence that going to heavan was the wrong choice and it couldn't have been him and he was manipulated right? Wrong.
I do think that the metatron did manipulate azi a little bit so we wouldn't see all the negatives of going back becasue that's just who he is. However, I do believe that it was mostly aziraphales decision to go back to heavan because it fits with his character development so well. He finds it very difficult to accept that heavan is actually bad and he's desperate for it not to be true. Because of this, the moment he gets a chance to change that, he does. He doesn't *want* to go to heavan but he wants to make a difference. All his development shows that he is realising heavan is bad yet he himself still wants to do good. Unlike crowley, he isn't willing to be on hells side to do good, he just wants to be with heavan. The only way he believes he can do good is to go back and change it. However, what's likely going to happen is that he will be punished by the metatron and others for disobeying hevan on multiple occasions.
This makes much more sence in my head than it does written down tbh but I wanted to do a little ramble. I probably repeated my self and miss spelled alot bcs im literally on the train for a school trip rn so quite stressed out馃槶 anyway if you made it all the way here, congrats you're as insane about these gay people as I am 馃槤馃挭

I have a theory/explanation as to why captain appears in a broken mirror in the intro.
This post contains spoilers for S5 e5!!!!!
A mirror is typically used to show identity, a cracked mirror would mean a loss of identity. Cap had to fake fighting on the front line and take someone else's badges (hide his real identity) in order to see havers one last time. He died while pretending to be someone he wasn't and feeling like a fraud. This meant would have struggled hugely with his identity after his death (and likely before, being a closeted gay man in 1940's!!). This struggle with and loss of identity was potentially shown by the metaphor of broken mirror

My theory on how the bbc ghosts captain died. I've shared this a few times on twitter but why not share it here
So my theory is that cap went to some sort of ww2 award ceremony at button house (that would explain why he was there after the war and in uniform) and while there, he accidentally took some poison. In the war, many things where disguised as poison and maybe they forgot something was there after the war and it was left there. (The cupboard where the poison is is the same one in the intro with the mirror above it) after taking the poison, it slowly affects him and because he gets dizzy, he doesn't Finnish putting on his uniform correctly and the badges are the wrong way around. Then he's standing by the mirror (again as seen in intro), trying to stay up right because of the poison and then he dies and hits his head on the mirror. This can explain why he appears in the mirror and also why the cupboard is open in the intro. It also may explain his cracking bones because he fell?? OR his cracking joints can be explained with the fact that he took Strychnine poisoning which commonly gave people cracked joints
Cupboard and mirror from the intro:

Obviously this is just a theory and realistically, it probably didn't happen but fun to think about馃槶 were gonna find out in S5!!!!

Helloooo, someone said to do part two and you ask, you shall receive (p.s: to the person who asked for more of this thanks so much, I feel famous 馃槏)
So part two of what the ghosts reactions to Mary's sucking off tell us about them and their lives
Kitty acts all clueless and relys on pat to explain what's happening. She isn't actually stupid, she knows somewhat about what happened to Mary but her method of copeing is by pretending nothing bad is happeing. We see this with kittys sister. She was terrible but kitty chooses to remember her as really nice simply becasue it's easier than remembering her as who she really was. She does this with Mary too, she seems as though she doesn't know what's happening becasue she doesn't want to accept it.
Thomas is only focused on himself and how that can happen to him at any moment. Obviously, we know Thomas is very dramatic and self centered but this could be because of his life. In his head, he believed to be the best poet, loved my everyone when in reality, he wasn't great and people laughed at him (I also think that he was outshone by his cousin Francis). Similar to kitty, Thomas hides the truth in his head to feel better about him self. But even with this coping mechanism, he still knows that he isn't the world-renowned poet he always wanted to be so he is desperate to keep trying (why he went to Italy to find inspo and other places to show off). Seeing Mary being sucked off would have made him realise that it can happen to him at any moment and he was never successful (this is actually so sad 馃槶) so in reality, he isn't being selfish, he's just desperate to do something with his life (death)
Julian got really angry in response to Mary's loss. As a stereotypical politician, many things would have made him angry but he couldn't really show that in the media bcs it woukd make him look bad. He was then left alone with his anger. Also he says that someone else he knew was really angry after the death of a cat (?), so angry they had to "hide the nuclear launch codes" potentially he's mirroring that behaviour becasue it's the only way he saw people reaction to loss previously (tbh I have no idea with Julian I'm just winging it lmao if you know anything else, go with that馃槶馃槶)
And humphrey was clueless until the end of the episode馃槶 I suppose this could mirror how he was clueless about Sophie's plot but I think I'm thinking too much into this馃槶 ALSO the fact that captain volunteered to tell humphrey the news shows how much he grew emotionally and he's not only capable of being in touch with his own feeling without hiding them but also to share them to someone
I think that's all the characters and yea slay follow me馃槏 (and see part one to this)

This is really obvious but I wanted to share, I feel like you can tell so much about the ghosts lives from the way they react to Mary's suckings off.
Take captain for example, he had to spend his whole life hiding his own personality which would have been extremely difficult. The only way he could keep his mind off that was to keep him busy some other way (explains why his coping method was staying busy). Also living through two world wars and serving in one meant that his life itself would have been so busy and work was all he could focus on becasue if he didn't, lives could potentially be lost. Therefore, any minor problem the captain would have had, his method of coping would just be doing work, as seen I'm s4 ep4.
Also Pat, he not only worked with children but had his own child so essentially everything he said was heard by children so he had to bend the truth sometimes for them. It also meant that he sometimes wasn't able to properly react to things which may explain why pat doesn't focus on how Mary's sucking off effected him but rather how kitty will understand it. It his life, he's probably had to do something like this for example if one of the scout teachers were ill, pat may have had to make up a story so the kids don't worry.
Robin obviously had to deal with suckings off alot in the past and so has developed his own way of dealing with it but I think that this would have started before he died. During the stone age, it was quite a dangerous time, people could have been eaten by wild animals or other stupid deaths and the average life expectancy was only around 30. So in his life, he probably dealt with loss alot and had no way to let out his grief. Him being a ghosts has taught him so lunch and given him a way to express his sadness whish he then taught to the others (it also links to his hyperfixation on space :D)
There's more but I'm sure no one will read all of this so enjoy the rest of your day
