“If flowers can grow through blankets of melting snow, there is hope for me.” -Tyler Knott Gregson
Last week of preparation before the first exam, a mix of anxiety and manifesting for good things to come. Also happy Chinese New Year’s Eve ✨🐯🧧✨

11.10.20 / i spent the morning flipping through a japanese translation of the hobbit because i had a dream about the person who gifted it to me a long time ago. that set the ruminative mood of the day. right now i’m trying to consolidate research i’ve done throughout the week for my historical fiction wip. overall, my weekend has been peaceful. how’s your sunday going? hope you’re well ♡

*wholly stains her fingerprints in black ink and turns it ✨aesthetic✨*
Today was a calm, if not indolent, day. Thick clouds covered the sky completely in the afternoon, allowing the Sun to spread its light evenly - and these kind of days always make me sleepy. I managed to study Contemporary History nonetheless - a monograph of the cold war, to be more precise. I even managed to work out a bit, between a quick analysis and some dumb, fountain pen-written thoughts. I was drinking a cup of spiced black Kashmir Tchaï, with a splash of milk and some savoiardi, when it finally started raining.

I bought a new poster to fill up the empty space on my wall! It’s a Porco Rosso (Ghibli) movie poster. It sparks joy whenever I look at it :)

Hello! I really like your hybrid note-taking technique and I plan to use it but after noticing that you're also studying Japanese, I was wondering how you adapt it to languages specifically or if you have a separate process? I want to rewrite my Japanese notes but I'm not quite sure how to go about doing it. My apologizes if there is a separate post or if I've missed something!!
Oooh interesting. I actually haven’t applied this method to language learning yet! Might be fun to try that out. I’ll prolly make another post if it works well :3 Right now I don’t really take notes for Japanese at all. I usually work my way through exercises in my textbooks, practice kanji with wanikani.com and use spaced repetition to memorize things. That’s been working pretty well for me so far!
