Have you watched Origin: Spirits of the Past, because ur haunted Hashirama forest kind of makes me think of the Forest from that movie. Highly suggest it for creepy forest inspiration. There's creepy forest girls too who outright demand a girl as like a sacrifice, if I remember correctly.

the mokuton is like a one of a kind freak of nature sort of situation but this does not stop me from being amused w/ au's where random people genuinely wind up with the mokuton
