as a general madoka fan, I'm cautiously optimistic about this new announcement, but as someone whose first gacha was love live and who knows what happens to love live games when a new one comes out, traitor by olivia rodrigo started playing in my head the minute the new game announcement came out

i wanna have at least some hope that both pmmm games will survive and we won't get another "you talked to her when we were together" / "it took you two weeks to go out and date her" situation with magireco, but i don't really believe in gacha game devs enough anymore to get my hopes up too much for that

Madokami is finally here, and pictures do not do her justice! I spent a couple of weeks working on her makeup, and her outfit was commissioned from a designer on Etsy!

I've officially tired myself out by putting the finishing touches on her late at night, so if you want more pics, please let me know!

Madokami has always been my dream doll, so it means so much to me to finally have her in my collection!

Here she is with the BisoulovelyXMadoka Magica Madoka pendant! My boyfriend gave it to me this Christmas, and it's one of my absolute favorite pieces.

And here she is with one of her disciples (an official Mami doll made by the same company as my Madokami custom).

I gave this Madokami a bit more of a Sweet Lolita look with her hair curls and her glitter heart face paint! If I make a Homucifer one day, I'd like to give her matching purple diamond ones to A) match her Soul Gem, B) it'd match the vaguely circusy makeup look Madokami has going on (diamonds for harlequins and blushy details for marionettes), and C) something something Homucifer probably sees herself as a clown pulling a puppet Madokami along on a string for the universe to gawk at symbolism something something.

Just a few more pics of Madokami's faceup (faceplate makeup) before I put the finishing touches on it and start putting her together! I swear the hearts were not gonna be this big, but I kept repainting them to get them to match as much as possible and now she looks like Madokami+Cure Blossom+a Star Vs character (never seen it, just know the heart cheeks are A Thing in it and I like the way they look on Madokami).

With her rosy cheeks and pale skin, she gives off an old-timey doll/puppet vibe, which I also like.

tbh, i'm pretty sure i'm burnt out on magireco right now. none of the story updates have really caught my eye lately and i haven't played in like a month. i'm even running behind on my kanagi blog bc some days i don't even have the motivation to look up new pics.

i still love magireco, but there's a part of me i think that's moved on and idk what to do about that. my magireco blogs are my most followed on here and i've met so many great friends through the game, but i feel like i don't have much to say about it anymore. idk whether i should keep going as planned with both blogs or retire the kanagi one and just make this a general pmmm blog (since i'm still a HUGE fan of the pmmm verse, i just don't play much magireco anymore) or just...

finally starting to work on my madokami doll custom after tons of delays! i wanted to at least start her on easter weekend in honor of her character themes and the pmmm finale, which was released on good friday! (if i didn't have hella pms cramps yesterday, i would've actually started working on her on good friday, but them's the breaks)

doll customizing is something i'm still pretty new to, but something i got into because i wanted to see my favorite characters as dolls. madokami will only be my third custom, but i hope to do her justice! here are my two past customs (luz was my first and cure moonlight was my second):

doll #4 won't be homucifer, btw. i wanna cover a lot of different franchises before doing another character from the same one (getting this out of the way now since i got questions about if i'm going to make an amity right after making luz, lol). amity and homucifer are both charas i wanna do someday, tho!

doll #4 will probably be nico robin, which will come as great news for any of my followers who are joint owl house/precure/pmmm/one piece fans (if anyone on here other than me is, i'd love to be friends, lol). in the meantime, i'll keep you posted on my madokami progress!
