it is possible for people with albinism to have brown eyes. his eyes look darker here because of the lighting, but the idea that all albino people have very light/red/only blue eyes is a myth.

question - what is the bad batch rewrite and where will it be posted?

it is a rewrite of the Star Wars animated show, the bad batch—though in chapter form, not in a way that's meant to be translated to the screen—that shares its name and follows a similar premise (a squad of experimental troopers resist Order 66 and go on the run in the early days of the Galactic Empire).

my main goal with this, aside from redesigning the bad batch's whitewashed models, is to explore what I think the show should've been about, which is, what happened to the clones after the war, ie what happens to a soldier who's no longer needed? I'll be posting the rewrite on ao3 under fiftypiercings.

toshiro is also autistic and clearly envies how much laios doesn't mask and is able to say whatever he's thinking outright (he literally says so after their fight). and he was raised as like a minor lord or whatever in feudal japan so he learned to mask early on and that combination of masking + raised in a high-context culture + being in a foreign land with different etiquette means that he'll go through herculean levels of discomfort to not upset any perceived group balance and only snaps when he's like three days away from dropping dead. which is also something he sees in falin btw and is a big reason why he's drawn to her. imo

No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadows what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence with which they should be.

Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.

The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.

The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.
