So Superman was mentioned earlier in this comic (or maybe it was the Beast Boy one) so he's established to be a Known Presence in this universe. But going by this and the fact part of Wonder Woman's thing is that she's the daughter of Zeus she isn't Known yet? Or is known but just hasn't told people about her family?

I've been a bit on the fence about Slade's writing in this so far but this is Slade Wilson yeah.

Teen Titans - Beast Boy
Tumblr media
Do you want to read a Beast Boy Graphic Novel? Read this.
On my scale of 'also enjoyable to adult readers' to 'this was made For 13 year olds' this one fits a bit closer to the For 13 year olds than Raven but not as far as Black Canary. The tropes and narratives beats were just that bit more pre-teen media.
I do again think this did well at incorporating the canon backstory of these characters while also making it an engaging story for new readers. I again rather like the original characters that were included. Did personally find it a bit weird that Gar's parents were still alive (when typically in canon they die while he's fairly young and he lives with his uncle) but I get that they did the parent death thing with Raven (and also had her living with an aunt) and probably didn't want to do it again.
Not much else to say about it really. It is what it is and is well aimed at it's target demographic.
Should you read it? As an adult reader I'd probably give it a skip unless Beast Boy is your favourite Titans (then it's probably still worthwhile). But if you happen to have a 13 year old in your life it's definitively something I would recommend getting for them to read.

I finished Terror Titans (it was only 6 issues so no real surprises there). And, look, it's been a while since I've done anything Batfam focused, and I have been thinking of reading it for a while so might as well start now with Batman Adventures volume 1:

I've finished Teen Titans Academy so time to do a stand-alone that I honestly feel like I should have already done by now seeing it is Titans-adjacent but somehow haven't: Terror Titans

Teen Titans - Raven
Tumblr media
Do you want to read a Graphic Novel reimagining of Raven? Read this.
This is another one of those I am clearly not of the demographic this is designed for so it does feel a little odd to judge 15 years older than it. However inverse to Black Canary I think adult enjoyed this more than 13 year old me would have. But that's more to do with what appealed to 13 year old me vs current me.
Maybe because Raven's backstory is a little bit more basic than Black Canary's (and she's a character more designed to be a teen then Dinah) but I think this managed to walk the line of still feeling like it belongs in the comic universe while doing it's own thing better. This feels like it could be set just before a Titans team up (which I suspect it's kind of going for). The villains worked well but again it kind of had the advantage of access to villains that make sense to be interested in a teenaged-Raven.
It was a good read as well. Well paced and the original characters fill the needed spaces in the story without overpowering them. With the most important one (Raven's effective aunt and cousin) feeling like fleshed out interesting characters.
Should you read it? If you're an adult comic fan who likes the Teen Titans or Raven it's definitively worth a read. If you happen to have a 13 year old in your life who is even remotely into comics you need to get this for them.

Lumberjanes Gotham Academy
Tumblr media
Do you want to read a teamup between the Lumberjanes and Gotham Academy? Read this.
So this is a crossover between two fairly big team based titles and as such I will get the obvious complaint of it feeing like there were too many characters for a 6 issue series out of the way at the start because that kind of comes with the territory. Also I don't know the Lumberjanes comics so not going to comic much on that.
I did feel like the Gotham Academy characters characterisation was slightly off and that a lot of their internal character motivations were not included but that also tends to come with the territory of a short cross-over with another title.
This was fun though. The plot was interesting and well paced and even though there were a lot of characters it handled it better than it might of otherwise. I was only slightly lost as to who-is-who and who-is-doing-what. The mystery felt connected with the characters while also being interesting itself.
Kind of exactly what I expected going into it.
Should you read it? This is kind of exactly what you expect from this kind of crossover between these kind of characters. You will know if you want to read that or not.

Deathstroke (52) 2015-16
Tumblr media
Do you want to read the 52s second attempt at Deathstroke? Read this.
This comic goes really hard on Slade as a Family Man. It's entirely focus almost is on Slade's relationship with his children. Which normally I would be really into except for it goes really hard on him only ever wanting the best for his children and wanting them safe from his lifestyle. Which is a massive oversimplication of what Slade Wilson's relationship with his children previous was in the comics and kind of should be. It just doesn't feel right for him to be so almost entirely a Good Father other than a few moments that are mostly in flashbacks. No complicated want to control his children but also want them to do better them him just... A Dad Trying His Best.
At least the way his kids were written was pretty decent. Better than the previous 52 attempt at them at least.
I do also miss Slade's relationship with the Batfamily and especially Dick. That's not included at all here because he doesn't know them in this universe. And seeing how Slade is kind of a mirror to Batman it again leaves it lacking some of the depth of his character.
Also why the hell was he young for most of this? There was no reason for him to be deaged (and deaged to black haired instead of the blonde he used to always be) and it got to the point where I just mentally superimposed his older self on top of him because it did nothing. I could rant on this for like a solid hour it was such a baffling and pointless choice that never got reversed.
The stories themselves are pretty fine if a bit safe. They're well enough paced and the premise of them works well for Slade. I did enjoy how just about every issue had him facing up against or having to work with a different hero of the DC universe both villains and heroes. I just again wish it all went that bit further and that bit deeper.
Should you read it? I would say it's a fine story to read if you want a light Deathstroke tale even if it is lacking a lot of depth in his character and relationships but the fact they had him as young for most it annoys me so much that no. Don't bother reading it.

Sorry, I can never tell them apart (or really remember them) - is this a new DC Snakeman villain or is he from older comics-lore?
