you pulled against the handcuffs that bounded your right hand to the bed you were resting on. after a few minutes of struggling to free yourself, you heard the clinking of a key unlocking the door. someone stepped in.

your eyes widened as you started struggling again. tears started to form in your eyes as he looked down at you, an ominous glint present in his eyes.

“sweetheart, don’t struggle. you’ll hurt your pretty little wrist.”

his hand shot out and grabbed your wrists, pinning them to the bed.

“l-lyney! what the hell?! what are you doing? why are you doing this?!”

you choked out through your tears. all this time you thought he was the perfect guy. he was there to comfort you when your girlfriend went missing. he was there when you were having a hard day…

the betrayal felt so much worse than your girlfriend’s mysterious fate.

he leaned down till his lips were inches away from yours. his eyes met yours and you could tell that he was genuine… yet there was something that was hiding behind that loving look. something… evil.

you shook your head and turned away, not wanting to let him charm you.

ever since lyney’s hat had brought you guys together, you two couldn’t have been closer. after exchanging names and a bit of small talk, he asked you for your number, which of course, you gladly gave to him.

though, there was something stopping him from making a move.

a certain, perhaps bizarre woman from mondstadt.

he had recently visited you and lyney had discovered that this girl was your girlfriend.

he had to do something quick.

almost immediately after discovering this, lyney had begun to get to work. he called arlecchino, his father, over and asked her for advice.

“plain murder is not recommended, especially in the nation of justice,”

arlecchino plainly pointed out, looking down with her hand resting on her chin. she was thinking of something, a plan that could bring her son to his sweet, lovely success.

“i’ve got an idea.”

the sound of water splattering against marble echoed throughout the room as arlecchino wiped her hands with a soft fabric hand towel.

“i’ll handle the disposal, you go ahead and take a rest.”

lyney nodded and bowed before turning to leave. his heart was pounding in his chest, but not from fear of being caught, but the excitement of getting to have you all to himself.

he quickly rushed over to your home, knocked on your door and gave you a bright smile when you opened the door with… tear-filled eyes and stains going down your cheeks.

he dropped his smile and his hand reached out to gently hold your red cheek.

“what happened, n/n?”

you shook your head and leaned into his hand as the tears in your eyes started to fall.

“my… my girlfriend… she went missing…”

lyney pulled you into a hug and rested his chin on top of your head, petting your hair and letting you cry into his chest. he smirked when he thought about what you said. everything was going according to plan.

“dearest, don’t worry. they’ll find her soon and bring her back to you.”

you sobbed again at the thought of your missing girlfriend. though, you felt comforted by the fact that it is the first day and there’s still tons of hope left.

lyney’s presence and kind words helped to soothe your anxiety as he prepared some tea in your kitchen as you sat on the couch, waiting for him.

you smiled gently at him as he came over and sat next to you, settling the two tea cups onto the table.

though you could’ve sworn you saw him sprinkle something in your drink…

his face turned bright red again at that. “t-thank you, madam.” his hand held his hat down in order to prevent it from flying away again and to use it to hide his tomato-red face.

wait, what? no! he was supposed to be the one making your face red, not the other way around!

“ahem,” lyney cleared his throat, getting himself together. “your name, mademoiselle?” of course, something as simple as your name may seem almost “worthless” in a way, but to him, everything about you was priceless.

-It's also very likely his sister harmed him physically, and getting touched brings back unwanted memories of the hospital she was at.

-His sister once more makes it difficult to engage in physical contact with someone again.

-Once you both start warming up to touches, he's super hesitant but quickly adapts to your body.

-When cuddling he pets the back of your head with his other hand on your outer thigh or hip.

-The mans is tall so he'll probably hug you with his hands around your head or shoulders.

-If you are somehow about the same height or taller, he rests his hands around your waist before pulling closer.
