wough. something happened on my computer, not sure what, that made itunes delete all my playlists and stop showing any music that wasn’t bought from the itunes store specifically, and i caused some more problems trying to make it put them back, and have only now, ~6.5 hours later, resolved the issue (i HOPE. backing it up to my external drive again before i try anything else.)

on the other hand once i figured how to get all the files back onto itunes i did have the opportunity to finally go through and put a bunch of things back into their intended order and clean up song titles and so forth (a LOT of what i now currently have designated as albums are actually playlists i downloaded from 8tracks back when that was a going concern, and most of them ended up with funky typographical stuff or at some point slid out of playlist order and into alphabetical-by-listed-song-title) (so on the other other hand a lot of that 6.5 hours was spent trying to dig up tumblr posts from 2013 so i could check playlist orders and artist names). also cleared out a bunch of music i don’t listen to any more, got some stuff off bandcamp, torrented some other stuff… things are nice and organized now. if itunes does this again i will [REDACTED]

can you elaborate on your “the material interests are against Israel” tag you put on the financial times post? genuinely curious

yeah sure, that tag was vague and it's good to clarify

so this is kinda downstream of a long discourse metamatar and i were having like a month ago, but imo, from the perspective of the US empire and financial capital, this is a bad war. don't get me wrong, neither perspective gives a shit about the Palestinians, but Israel is destabilizing an entire region and pissing off far more relevant countries (Saudi Arabia, for ex) for the sake of... what, exactly? vengeance misdirected at a civilian population? intentional ethnic cleansing? nothing the US empire would think is worth it, if the realpolitik guys were actually steering the boat.

now you've got the Houthis messing with trade (which, fwiw, hurts China, the EU, and especially Egypt more than the US, but still) and the US taking swings at them and Iran, and there's just no benefit to any of this. so no wonder the Financial Times wants Israel to stop - they're bad for trade and profits.

it’s just all so stupid bc the ppl that get mad when you “‘make everything about race” seem to not understand that it literally..is all about race, you are more likely to have asthma and allergies and breathing problems if u live close to large populations of black people bc during segregation and redlining less diverse sexed trees were planted in the areas made up of predominantly black and brown people, black people have higher rates of plant related allergies and higher rates death from asthma bc young male trees were planted in addition to poor conditions regarding pollution, redlined areas get worse treatment structurally, if u live in a city u are more likely to die from lung cancer bc of segregation, and ppl act like im just saying stuff and making shit up and it’s like no dude statistically that is the truth, it should bother u that u get the short end of the stick simply bc some government official didn’t want black ppl to have “good” stuff

does anyone have recommendations or resources for, like, how to learn higher math and approach mathematical concepts without immediately regressing into the like “i don’t immediately and intuitively grasp this which means it’s pointless and i’m stupid” mindset? idk like books or podcasts with guided readings or something. youtube series. have any of the mathematicians who’ve talked about the problems with math pedagogy in k-12 education made public any lesson plans?
