"I’ve been meaning to share this with you for ages - this is my favourite photo from our shoot with Dave Gahan at Soho Live for the Mother of Earth Film Clip. We filmed the clip for The Jeffrey Lee Pierce Sessions Project whilst Depeche Mode were in town for their show at Twickenham stadium in June last year. Such a great day with Matt Hopkins working his magic behind the camera.

Rob Marshall releases another album ON THE EDGE OF A LOST AND LONELY WORLD and re-engages with another service and favorites including Dave Gahan who performed the song Brother

Depeche Mode was the first band I became obsessed with back when I was 12. They were on my mind today, wondering if they were back home after their recent world tour. I know the lead singer lives in the same building as one of the dogs I walk, and I would daydream about bumping into him there. Well today was the day! I had just picked up my pup friend when the elevator stopped to reveal Dave Gahan standing there resplendent in red snakeskin boots. Hello! I introduced myself and he quickly hugged me like we were old friends. He was charming and humble and very sweet, telling me he just got back from Europe and was on his way to the doctor, “to make sure everything is OK.” I hoped so and said he definitely deserved some rest and relaxation. He agreed to a quick selfie and then we walked out of the building together as I tripped over my tongue trying to express how wonderful this moment was for me (and the tween fan girl in me). It really is life affirming to meet one of your favorite artists and share a moment of kind connection. I wished him a good day because he had just made my day! He and his fancy red boots disappeared in a giant waiting car while I tried to come back down to earth ...
