So, first of all, Kiora isn't actually his name! His actual name is Samui (寒い) he was named by his grandmother from his father's side of the family! And yes, he's canonically half Japanese. He does like that name actually but he likes Kiora more because it kind of fits one of his big sister's name. (Khione)

He actually did lost a lot of memory about the present world, and it is one of the reasons his relationship with Lear is very. Mixed. He was also still grieving over a person he couldn't remember for a whole 2 years in a region he does not know and in the middle of stormy snow village so he is a little messed up ^^

He collects modern slangs and use it in the most unconventional way possible just to piss off his friends (Lear). Like; “I got you pookie” *cocks a gun* and they would be like; “what is wrong with you”

Occasionally hides from his family whenever he sees them in public. He's ashamed.

He actually sucks at pokemon battles! He makes up for that with the martial arts he learnt in Hisui and his physical strength.

His skin and body are naturally cold, even more so after his years in Hisui.

Despite 80% of him represents snow, cold, and blizzards. The 20% of him actually represents psychic in honor of Lear and Hoopa (In an AU, Lear constantly has frosts at the end of his Coat, it happens because he's near Lady Froslass, Kiora's Noble pokemon, often.)

The village fun fact next!!! I was researching Kanji and Languages from ancient Japanese eras or more exactly Muromachi period, when it was still known as Ezo, i had to cry while i was reasearching it. And even more so when i realize the lost village was supposed to be before the muromachi period and i think it's the Kamakura period BUT IM HAVING A BREAKDOWN FROM RESEARCHES.
