our characters live in a society that is divided by privilege, biogtry and violence. still, just because you’re on the same side doesn’t mean you LIKE each other, just as people from opposing sides of a war can find some common ground. below, you’ll find ten prompts that poke at your characters’ bonds and conflicts. feel free to use them - or not! 

i. CHARACTER 1 learns an amazing secret about CHARACTER 2. ii. CHARACTER 1 teaches CHARACTER 2 a spell that the latter will never forget. iii. your characters share an interest in something weird and non-magical. iv. CHARACTER 1 hurt CHARACTER 2 a long time ago. now they want to apologize. v. CHARACTER 1 steals something from CHARACTER 2. vi. your characters meet for the first time, and CHARACTER 1 reminds CHARACTER 2 of someone they lost or had to leave behind. vii. hi anon! i'm going to take your ask as an opportunity to ask all of our curious friends to be a bit more mindful of how your tone comes across in your messages to us. i'm sure it's no one's intention to be rude, but many times i'll log on to see questions like this - lacking a greeting, lacking a "please" or "thank you" - and feel a bit bummed out.

as for the black siblings - the way sarah wrote the wc does imply that they're twins. i'll let her chime in when she gets a chance to let you know if she'd be amneable to having older/younger siblings for leo.

hi anon! we already have a luka fc in play - our lorcan scamander. if you're interested in playing lysander with luka as an fc, we can definitely ask lorcan's mun if she'd be alright with them as identical twins!

i do have a soft spot for kelvin harrison jr and quincy fouse. if you want to play a semi-canon, i could easily see either of them as part of the brown, johnson, jones, jordan, meadowes, shacklebolt, sinistra, or warbeck families. there's also always the option of applying for an original character! hope this helps. ❤️

                CHAOS AT HOGWARTS QUIDDITCH PITCH

HOGSMEADE VILLAGE, SCOTLAND - It was a devastating sight at the Ministry of Magic’s party leaders’ debate yesterday evening when the voice of notorious Dark witch Bellatrix Lestrange rang through Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch declaring anti-Muggleborn sentiments. The scene was evocative of public attacks made during the Great Wizarding War, with the crowd composed of the greater wixen public as well as Hogwarts school children racing for every available exit as hexes rained down from indeterminate locations. Official Ministry security and volunteers were able to evacuate the scene and halt all spellfire in approximately 32 minutes, but the damage was already done: 

“It was MADNESS,” said Elspeth Weekes, 57. She, her wife, and their three children were separated during the chaos; all have been reunited, uninjured, as of the writing of this article. “Like something out of a nightmare. I looked around and suddenly I was alone. What was that horrible woman thinking, attacking a place with so many children?”

The Auror Department released a statement to the press following the attack: Bellatrix Lestrange was confirmed as being present at the debate while the attack took place; she is believed to have at least five other accomplices and all are currently at-large, whereabouts unknown. There are zero reported deaths, though fifteen wix are currently hospitalized in St. Mungos for injuries. While the majority are expected to recover quickly, three people remain in critical condition for damage related to the Cruciatus curse, the very malediction that Lestrange was charged for casting on Aurors Frank and Alice Longbottom in 1980. 

When pressed for further comment, Interim Head Auror Zacharias Smith told the Daily Prophet: “This crime is still under investigation, honestly, you people know that I cannot divulge details of--” CONT. ON PAGE 5, COLUMN 3.

My thoughts and spiritual focus is with the victims currently recuperating at St. Mungo’s, and I wish them peace and healing after this preventable attack. 

The so-called “Order of the Phoenix” has claimed responsibility for the tribute to the late Minister Shacklebolt and Auror Harry Potter, and I have little doubt in my mind that they also orchestrated the ambush in order to “prove” that their vigilante antics are needed. I assure you, they are not.
