So I started college last week. An Art Diploma!!! Omg!! First two projects are technical works (mark making, the basics) and producing art and items for a market in October. This delight is my first attempt at upcycling an old lantern and giving it a vintage twist. I used a Christmas serviette, firstly cos it's the only one I had, and secondly I think September is the perfect time to start thinking about Christmas! Yes I went there. I said the C word twice!!! 🙊 Anyway, look up Teenage Market Lincoln and you'll see what the market is all about. Right, time to crack open the cement. I'm not even joking. Currently sat facing a 5kg tub of rapid set cement. Time to get creative!

Not feeling great today so it's all been basic stuff. Breakfast was a mushroom, tomato, onion and ham omelette with tinned plum tomatoes for extra speed. Lunch was a wholemeal roll (hexb), 2 syns for a spoon of lighter than light mayo, more lettuce than was strictly necessary, free chicken tikka chunks, and a couple of boiled eggs. It was a lot of protein for me so I didn't finish it all. Friday night takeaway. Except it's not a takeaway. It's a 1.5 syn Lamb Rogan Josh from Aldi's speciality range. Served with a side of Slimming World Vegetable Biryani from Iceland. I assumed that anything pre prepared with lamb would be much higher in syns and although a little fatty at times, the lamb in this microwaveable dish was tender and fell apart in my mouth. It was really tasty. The spice rating was accurate and overall I really liked it.
