Putting Patapon: Uberguard and related Patapon projects on indefinite hiatus

Hi! Charger here.

I am currently unable to continue development on both Patapon: Uberguard and its prequel (Tokeikaijin) publicly. Between dealings in real life and other activity online, I am also currently not as invested in Patapon as I had before.

Weighing on these factors, I am putting both written fiction projects on hiatus until otherwise stated. Thank you for your interest in this endeavor, and I apologize for the longest radio silence thus far.

You may find me on either @zica-supercharger or @the-world-spear, alongside any sideblog associated with both. I also currently write for one of my role play sideblogs for the latter, @expvrgction.

DRODANARCH

A service droid of his batch given to a member of the royal family in the waning years of the Ah-Ooh Dynasty. He used to attend to tasks his owner was unable to do due to illness. After a war that wiped out the dynasty, however, Drodanarch has gone dormant in the castle workshop, and has since then rusted over until he is eventually rediscovered... And restored.

In very much a need for maintenance!

Hello.

I’ve not posted anything here for a while now, and I decided to check this blog’s functionality. Turns out the old tagging system broke and the blog theme has had some problems with coding (specifically on picture sizes in a post).

No exact estimate on when changes will be made, but at least these have been addressed thus far.

Priestess of the Underworld and loyal servant to Yabunkamui. She is an accomplished witch as well, with shadow-laden spells and curses should she ever be pushed to act on the offense.

KAYO TANIPON

Nobody really knows how this nimble and elusive Patapon appeared in Rolitoland as she is apparently one of a kind. She is occasionally seen wearing the Mask of Yishtin, though she rarely ever wears it outside battles (especially in cold climates) despite her status as a Hero unit-- Stuff like that messes with her memory, as do all masks. A big fan of pikes, Kayo has a collection of them in her own hideout.

Consider this blog and others I run under this account and those of my other blogs @the-world-spear and @project-uberguard tethering between sporadic activity and abrupt, total loss of communications from now on, in light of current worldwide events. I will still post or reblog until then, but I have no idea for how long I can keep up.

All I can see on a lot of places on the Internet right now is mass madness and I don’t think I am fully prepared for what’s to come. I won’t go into details and have you worry too much for me.

Just remember that whatever you’re going through, I hope you will be able to settle them while you still have time. Please take care and stay safe– These are dangerous times.

If any of you have known me, whether it is for years or months, or having just met me, I would like to apologize if I hadn’t been my best here on Tumblr or anywhere else. If you, for any reason at all, have been hurt by my past wrongdoings and still hold a grudge against me, it is completely fine to feel that way– I can’t change your mind. But do know that one’s past mistakes do not necessarily have to reflect them today, especially when they have since changed.

KOMACHI KARMEN / UMEMEN

Komachi is the matron of nature and the arcane, some of her knowledge which blesses her people; The Karmen tribe. A number of these tribespeople once sported flora-themed masks as much as their animal-motif mask wearing brethren since the beginning of their civilization. Like Kaien and the rest of her friends, she was once part of an ancient council that united the four races of Rolitoland. It was, however, ruined by the jealousy and dissatisfaction of one of her own companions.

She may appear as Umemen, a nomadic healer, to visit and know the state and wellbeing of her people without making herself known.

ITOUKAMUI / TRISTYN

One of the Zigoton Twin Deities, and is the older among the two. He is one who watches over his Zigoton subjects and teaching them how to build society-- And much of his lessons apply to other tribes as well. As a former member of an ancient council, he witnessed many rises and falls in civilization, and at one point disappeared at the start of the Patapon-Zigoton War.

Were he to walk the realm as a mortal does, Tristyn would be his to-go alternative identity.

Happy 10th Anniversary, Patapon 3!

Today, 10 years ago (2011), this game was released in Japan. Other release dates in the same year includes  April 12th in North America, and April 15th in Europe respectively.

I’ve made a series of custom prompt packs for the entirety of the franchise for owners of Drawful 2 (and preferably who also play Patapon) to be able to host. Limited drawing space and skills in this game against Patapon-related prompts; Can you draw them from memory? 

There is one prompt related to a Patapon fangame, Patafour, which is added in one of these prompt packs. Good luck finding it.

ZIGZAG

MAIN CHARACTER (1/3)

Co-leader of the Uberguard, friend of the Myamsar (and founder) of his group and also one of the inhabitants of Rolitoland to rediscover the long lost Uberhero masks, Zigzag has made himself quite a name in the world of bounty hunting. Normally a man of fewer words and more action, but if the situation demands it, he will speak his piece.

He is the only Uberhero who is in possession of two masks-- Both being that of Yarida and Destrobo.

YASHIPON

Yashipon is veteran soldier looking for life of peace of comfort by retiring after Ormen Karmen was defeated, but his plan was cut short by the Bonedeth invasion in Pata-Pole and surrounding territories during the Second Archfiend War. He moved to Menkame Village to to have a quiet, peaceful life once more before that also became short-lived upon discovering the Taterazay mask that he now uses. Cares a lot about the youthful and will give his best to protect them from any harm.

SUI DAIPON

Father of two and a skilled hunter, Sui is one of the many Patapons descended from survivors who fled to Kumobashiri. Knowing the news regarding the restoration of Pata-Pole, he left his birthplace by ship with his wife, the pair's son and daughter. He worked as a hunter and carpenter before accidentally knocking himself over a wall, the Yumiyacha mask hanging just above it falling on his face.
