FORWARD AND ONWARD TO MORE PIZZA! #alwayspizza Another #queenseatspizzalist adventure inspired by last night’s post, was in Astoria and figured it was finally time to try #Rosarios for their pizza and sandwiches. This is the very well known #margarita slice, talked about quite a bit in pizza foodie circles, from #Rosarios in #Astoria #queensny #nyc and it lived up to the hype, sauce on the sweeter side, beautiful crust, but that mozzarella steals the show. It’s so delicious with the perfect bit of saltiness. Seriously a Sicilian for dayssss you guys. Onto another #queenseatspizzalist adventure, found myself in Glendale midday a few weeks back and had to try #GracePizza after much encouragement from some of you lovely people. This is a truly unusual upside down Sicilian in my mind, super long (ridiculously long) with the profile of a grandma slice from #GracePizza in #Glendale #queensny #nyc and it was a decent Sicilian, loved the crispness of the crust- they have a super hot oven- I was a bigger fan though of their ricotta and vodka slice though. Hope everyone’s #thanksgiving was STACKED 🥪 This year’s post thanksgiving sandwich was a real doozy (with a bit of structural integrity issues due to an uneven layer of Brie) with serious flavor!!! Layers included (from bottom): cheddar cheese, turkey and gravy, cornbread pudding, broccolini au gratin, fried egg, Brie cheese, sausage stuffing, and cranberry sauce all on a pretzel bun. 👑‘Cause they don’t call him the king for nothing! These are the #falafel 🥙 from @kingoffalafel truck on #Ditmars in #Astoria #queensny #nyc and I love their falafel, I really enjoy the crunch and bit of kick, sometimes people depend too much on the sauce leaving the falafel itself a bit dry and flavorless but definitely not here! I also love that on cold nights, the fellow in the truck throws you a warm falafel while you settle on an order. When you osso bu-score a great evening 🤤🤤🤤 This is the Osso Bucco with faro and roasted Brussels sprou, the third dish in the $53 chefs tasting at @casadelchef in #Woodside #queensny #nyc and it’s been a favorite special occasion spot of ours since they opened in 2014, and luckily last night we had a perfect excuse to revisit for our friend @bennythekauftheman birthday! It’s no surprise that @casadelchef has a #michelinbibgourmand, their food and service is always a knock out and full of local and seasonal treats and their wine pairings and cocktails are wonderful as well! The spice ain’t shrimpy so don’t be shellfish 🦐 This is the #PrawnBalchao from #CardamomIndianCuisine in #Sunnyside #queensny #nyc and I measure all spiciness levels in @khaokangnyc terms, this was just under some of the spiciest dishes I’ve ever had Khao Kang, meaning this was pretty freaking spicy, newbies beware. At first taste, you get a nice heat, tang, and warmth with really plump shrimp, a few bites in, total fire, finish it with some of rice or naan, you’ll be fine. Loved trying #goan / Indo-Portuguese food for the first time, totally live up to the hype that is surrounding this newcomer. Every time we torch, I get this feeling 😍🤤 Guys, I drooled when I saw this posted up online and knew I had to have it today. This is the #applebutter filled brioche #donut topped with torched white #cheddarcheese from @blacklabeldonuts who had Sunday residency at @nipponcha in #bayside #queensny #nyc and it was a perfect #doughnut for me, sweet on the inside, salty on the outside with the softest, pillowy brioche surrounding it 😱 Rich, the guy behind @blacklabeldonuts, is honestly the nicest guy and one of the most creative makers out of Queens right now, plus he makes my favorite yeast donuts in the borough, and I would love to see the community come out and support him. He was viciously attacked and shot earlier this year near his home in an attempted burglary and he is currently funding his recovery while continuing on making his amazing donuts, he will be starting a gofundme soon to help off set the cost of his treatment. On top of my pesto, all covered in cheese, there sat some delicious chicken until this dish met me! Ever since I started working in the hospital again we’ve been trying to make it out for a one on one date night each week or so.
