during this little comic quest i thought oh haha, self-development, let's try something new in my day-to-day. so i've been trying a new kind of coffee every day despite, for the longest time, absolutely hating it. couldn't stand it. exclusively a (mostly decaffeinated) tea drinker and a big one at that. well do you know what happens when you go from nothing to downing the equivalent of 3 espressos per day because you want to have a little whimsical discovery moment and don't want to ruin it by googling. i'll tell you. your opinion on the drink ceases to matter because you're drinking it anyway. what the hell have i done/10

stumbling out of a big cartoon fight cloud covered in blood. i cough out 'i hate drawing hats' and spit out a tooth i suspect isn't even mine. i am dragged back into the cartoon fight cloud. i am halfway done

i've noticed the way i ink and the way i render or sketch for painting look pretty different. you can still tell it's me, i think, but the 'had an obsessive johnny the homicidal maniac phase growing up' portion of my brain that makes up like 60% of my personality really pushes through

i don't like how perfect flat black comes out on digital, so i've made the (in hindsight, terrible) decision to fill everything in by hand with a really, really good ink mimic brush

this is just a big wall of nothing, but it means that it's really easy to get cool effects with gradient maps since they assign colours to values. it's super artificial and digital, but i really like that

i feel like she listens to diamond city radio a bunch not just because of the music but because she specifically dislikes travis. like, if there's nothing going on in the office and it's on, she'll boo him because she's, and i love her, she's kind of a bitch. no specific favourites, she's just happy to listen to anything from before the war.

bonus answer! i feel like she's a decent dancer. a solid 5/10. right slap bang in the middle. you'd never think boy, that lady is bad at it, but you'd never be drawn to her. she's certainly not good enough to support a very bad dance partner. i say all this because i think nick is a godawful dancer

Do you decorate your minecraft houses like fallout? Like, with mods to make it have fallout stuff, cause I saw someone was making fo4 items into minecraft stuff in the main tag. leaf4e iirc, did a terminal and a nuka cola machine!

you know, i can't say i ever have! that might be a fun challenge, all the fallout style decorating i've done has been in the game itself. i did very very briefly tinker around with a nuclear power mod and i ended up having to abandon the world because i was being hunted down by twelve foot tall irradiated spiders, which i had made. i'm not a natural physicist. anyways, thank you for the tip, i'll be sure to check out those items!! they sound super cool
