hi! i hope you don't mind if i engage a conversation with you about your post about banning kpop fcs! i agree with what you said. the industry and the antiblack/appropriation is greatly unprogressive and shameful, especially in the fandom. but if we're pushing this narrative, we as a whole have to keep that energy for people who aren't asian/kpop fcs because it's gross we can make some exceptions for nasty faves. and at a certain point, it appears really xenophobic with these excuses.

i do mind, actually! but i’ll go ahead and answer anyway:

it is not exclusively kpop faceclaims who are on that banned list, let alone asian faceclaims. the group will hold anyone who is racist or has appropriated cultures accountable. that’s why you see little mix on that list alongside other groups.

to be frank, i share a couple servers with one of the admins. i see them call out problematic celebrities across the board. from actors to musicians to influencers, no matter where they’re from. they’re also a kpop fan themselves, which i know because we’ve extensively talked about our mutual love for TWICE and how disappointed we are in jihyo (who is also on the banned list for a reason).

the whole point of their banned list is to preemptively stop folks who will apply with popular yet problematic faceclaims. it is not extensive by any means, because an extensive list would be far too long. the particular banned kpop groups/idols are extremely popular right now, hence why they made it on the list. 

for example: no one is applying for dominic sherwood at the moment because we all know he’s a homophobic piece of shit. he’s far from a popular faceclaim. and if someone did apply with dominic? the admins would stop that immediately.

racism of varying degrees is rampant in kpop. you’re going to see quite a number of groups banned in other groups, not just this particular rp, because of that. from blackface to colorist comments to appropriation of native culture, they’re far from innocent and it’s not entirely unreasonable to not want those faces in a group.

this ask still sounds like an attempt to excuse anti-black, culturally appropriating idols/groups. not to mention silencing someone who is actually native when they want to ban groups/idols who have appropriated native cultures. i’m not going to answer another ask (and will probably block your ip if you send another one) because i do not have the time, energy, or patience to run around in circles with people who have clearly made up their mind on which hill they would prefer to die on. i’m also not going to subject my followers/mutuals to more of this ignorant rhetoric.
