Any siblings?
two! both brothers, though iām the middle child and probably... the one with the most head on my shoulder, to be honest? my younger brother joined team rocket against everyoneās wishes and we have no idea where he is, but my older brother held honorary champion of kanto while we lived there. it was like, half a month, but he is in the hall of fame!

Did you have a "family pokemon" growing up?
yeah and nah. the ramanas family is mostly known for... well. weāre the ramanas family. weāve done landscaping work for generations, including renovations to safari zones. we also handle distribution of hidden base decorations to merchants who may want to deal in that and whatnot.
tldr: no? but we were and always will be surrounded by pokemon

What is your favorite legendary?
thereās a lot of factors that led me to thisā such as my studies not existing without it, just the aesthetic of it all, and some religious devotion thatās existed for... thousands of years, as i am a dialgist celestican, but... of course, dialga. the great god of time. of course we know them to be... inferior, to arceus, but thatās none of our concern. time is cool.

what's your favorite camouflage used by pokemon? -snork-mimi-kyu
if only because it doesnāt work, it has to be the originally-recorded camouflage pokemon; that being kecleon!
heās a little dummy, but thatās why heās one of my favorites. i love him so dearly. his camouflage actively works against his urge to feel loved. and i love him so much

favorite regional variant? i love how pokƩmon adapt to different places!! i don't always understand the adaptations but i'm like hell yea babey
so true!!! i think my favorite out of all of them has to be paldean wooper, second only to hisuian zorua. they r my little eeby deebies and i want so many of them. i have yet to find a place in the professorās index where hisuian zorua are still around, though :( iāve only ever found the smokier gray ones northeast of sinnoh
wooper is especially strange because the theory about them is that the treasures of ruin (a legendary quartet sealed within paldea) set a drought upon paldea, thus causing woopers to adapt to rapid dehydration. very interesting!!!

not only is that not convergent evolution, but i also said that it wasnāt all of the examples, basically. get real. (/lh)
Which Pokemon are convergence species to each other before the term or Pokemon even existed or discovered? I know that Luvdisc is a scaly fish Pokemon, and Alomomola are bony fish Pokemon that look similar to each other yet are convergent to each other.
now THAT is a good question... albeit one i donāt have very many answers to, surprisingly. i do have answers, though!
if i went into specifics on all of the ones i knew, weād be here all day, but for visual comparison:
- horsea and skrelp; two aquatic pokemon of very different biologies adapting this crescent-shaped body and eventually the dragon typing through different means
- charmander and bagon; two very peanut-shaped lizards that, similar to the last pair, become very draconic. they both also have mega evolutions! they arenāt related, in fact one of them is actually a dragon, but they are both hexapodal vertebrates with similar powered flight ability to the point where they share a similar wingspan shape. itās not identical but it hits all the same spots.
- toxel and croagunk; an amphibian and a reptile, both of which capable of becoming completely bipedal without additional need for balance, with similar lanky body plans as they develop. they are also both very venomous.
- the legendary bird trios! unsurprisingly, the ones you see in kanto and galar arenāt related at all outside of Being Birds... even that is debatable with galarian moltres, though. we were so indecisive on if these pokemon were actually the same that we had to be vague in the galar dex.
of course, convergent evolution can be seen all over the place, especially when it comes to body plans and whatnot, which arguably includes typing, these are the ones that come to mind for me
