I like to think that Wally probably got the bapping thing from Barnaby just- putting his whole paw over Wally’s face on occasion (sometimes just cause he can) but now Wally has also taken up this mannerism and does it as a sign of ‘oh hey! you’re there, I see your face!’ as well as whenever he has the opportunity to do so (not often because of how tall Barnaby is but he finds his ways))

Steven universe demon slayer fusion au

Just a fun pastime for me honestly.

Story

In this au the slayer corps is made for hunting down corrupted gems. The hashira are the strongest cuts of their gems and take orders from their diamond. As slayers their job is to work quickly and discreetly to eliminate the corrupt gems that cause havoc on the planets gems and other life forms inhabit.

Their main goal is to eliminate muzan, a diamond that's completely twisted and corrupted taking amusement in suffering and terraforming planets with experiments that get him closer to becoming a completely invincible god to any and all.

Tanjiro is a simple fire quartz from a kindergarten he deemed close enough to being a genuine family. They lived happily until one day he came home to discover his whole kindergarten unit and it's care taker or "mother" shattered to unfixable fragments, gone forever. Nezuko his little "sister" from the kindergarten was the only exception to this. She had managed to survive, but had been horribly corrupted.

After discovering that she still had her sense of self while in a dangerous battle against the lapis/water hashira he learned how to become a slayer to find a cure for his sister and avenge his family.

Basic info

The culture of the average gem is similar to that of Steven universe gems in Steven universe future, where they aren't destroying planets but instead peacefully co-living and learning of cultures and traditions of other worlds. They go by a lot of star trek philosophy in the sense of being peaceful explorers who don't harmfully medal in other worlds.

Terraforming is a banned practice. Instead of destroying and stripping planets of resources the gems set up kindergartens on planets with high nutrients but little life. Then they restore the planet with the help of gems like lapis lazuli and rose quartz. Once they're done they repeat the process. Gems have also been created in astroids rich in materials needed to create unique but strong gems.

Planets that are recycled consistently create the same kind of gem causing many of those planets to become homes to unique cultures for every kind of gem. Most hashira have a home residing at planets they came from where they run the important things if they aren't busy slaying corrupted gems. (Ie. Rengoku comes from a planet of fire and volcanos, while shinobu comes from a planet of water and bright greenery)

It's rumored by those that know of muzan that kaguya and he were once the same gem split right down the middle. All it's evil resided in one half and all it's good in the other.

When kaguya was younger he had confronted muzan himself challenging his morals and demanding that he stop his cruelty. The confrontation ended in his gem being permanently damaged by his "brother" diamond.

Yes, I know it's stupid and unoriginal au idea, but it brings me much joy.
