So you know that theory that of Lion being the other half of Rose? (this one) 

Imagine Rose finding a stray kitten with Greg one day. The poor kitten is malnourished, coat attacked with fleas. Rose, lovely Rose points out the kitten to Greg. She rushes over to it, picks it up. The poor cat mewls and Rose begins to cry, for this kitten is obviously close to death. However, Rose’s tears begin to heal the kitten. It doesn't rid of the fact the cat hasn't ate in days, weeks, but the fleas are killed, and any injuries disappear. She and Greg head to the closest pet store and buy a carrier, pet food, a collar. 

She names the kitten Lion, for its raggedy fur. She brings the cat back from undernourishment, bathes the cat, loves it. It matures into a wonderful cat that lives with Greg, but loves Rose and Greg both. 

Rose grows pregnant with Steven. Lion knows, just knows that Rose will no longer be inhabiting her own body. Somehow they come to an agreement about her death/Steven’s birth. 

The other half of Rose’s soul (?) enters Lion when Steven is born. They (?) leave as now they’re an actual Lion, a pink lion. They wait in the desert for Steven.

You think that maybe Steven doesnt have his gem abilities like super strength and not really needing to breathe just because he thinks he cant do it? Like Steven can hold his breath longer than Connie and held it the whole time while being lifted Lapis water tower… and then he could breathe fine in space. And he can breathe in Peridots weird triangle liquid. And the strength thing they made an obvious show of Steven punching through Gregs dashboard and the last episode Steven picks Jenny up like shes nothing to keep her away from Peridots ship… He does these things without really thinking about… so maybe its a natural thing he can do like healing… just he doesnt think he can do it so he cant… Like him losing his healing? Ya know?

Looks like STEVEN is the one who needs to believe in Steven.
