this is my first au that im actually sharing on tumblr but anywhizzle-

Welcome to The Ballad of Hamato Leonardo, an au slightly based off of The Ballad of Jane Doe, a song from the musical Ride the Cyclone, if you've never heard the song go listen to it rn, 10/10 fr

basic jist of Jane Doe/Ride the Cyclone is that 6 choir teenagers go on a roller coaster and die due to an accident. No one remembers who Jane Doe is, including herself, bc she got decapitated

In the au, Mikey was unable to save Leo from the Prison Dimension. Eventually, Leo died from decapitation, pretty obvious due to the lack of head

Now his ghost wanders through different dimensions and universes looking for his family, unable to find them because of his fuzzy memories. (that's basically it)

doubt comes in (and kills the lights) by paperxcrowns. the brothers are trapped, and it's up to raph to figure things out. super good and brownie points for having a hadestown title lol.

Everything I Don't Want to Be by goldenspecter. raph meets his future self and doesn't like him—at all. y'all this fic has such AMAZING characterization and really really does raph justice. it's incredible.

haunted by things i can't remember by starlight_artemis. raph still thinks about the krang. this packs a heartbreaking punch in very few words!

May we be reunited by spiromachia. raph dies first in the apocalypse. he'll wait for his brothers as long as it takes. the emotions this made me feel... AGH.

obedience by splinnters. raph's not doing okay after the krang. amazing angst!

Raphael somehow thinks being killed in a no-longer-existing future is a shameful failure that must be absolved (series) by 7thSpaceCadet. the title says it all, and BOY does it hurt.

The gust of air left his lungs as suddenly he was free falling. The world spun in a haze of static that jittered through his very bones, the piercing cold wind as he fell spinning to who knows where. Orange, orange and gold and blue and purple and red and yellow in a dizzying array surrounded him wholly. The sky was beautiful around them in the sheet of rippling clouds that completely covered the sky and reflected the gorgeous sunset like a blanket falling over the city. For a breathless moment, Mikey was starstruck. He could hear his brothers screams. He felt his body losing mass then regaining, his form glitching in and out. He could see them spinning through the air, their bodies flashing in and out in sporadic bursts like him. Then Donnie completely fizzled out and didn’t come back. --- or, the Mad Dogs fall into a different New York and face something completely new, yet somehow the same.
