Hundreds of Jewish anti-war demonstrators have been arrested during a Passover seder that doubled as a protest in New York, as they shut down a major thoroughfare to pray for a ceasefire and urge the Senate majority leader, Chuck Schumer, to end US military aid to Israel.

The 300 or so arrests took place on Tuesday night at Grand Army Plaza, on the doorstep of Schumer’s Brooklyn residence, where thousands of mostly Jewish New Yorkers gathered for the seder, a ritual that marked the second night of the holiday celebrated as a festival of freedom by Jews worldwide.

The seder came just before the US Senate resoundingly passed a military package that includes $26bn for Israel.

For the first time ever the NHL allowed their offical logo to be used in a pride parade today in Sydney’s Mardi Gras

While this is a big step forward I want to emphasise it wasn’t because the NHL wanted to it’s because we kept at them for months and essentially bullied them into it.

Even though the NHL still sucks for queer people, women and POC, despite the best efforts of the NHL progress is still being made and will not stop being made.

16 year old Nex Benidict, a nonbinary student of Owasso High, Oklahoma was brutally beaten to death in the school bathroom by three older students.

The three girls who murdered Nex and the school responsible for the neglectful response to Nex's brutal attack have yet to face consequences.

A major factor contributing to the increased anti LGBT policy in Oklahoma schools is the social media account account, Libs of Tiktok, run by Chaya Raichik, who recently became an Oklahoma board of education member for Owasso schools and has openly supported eliminationist rhetoric and action toward LGBT people and those who support them.

This has led to multiple bomb threats toward the schools, and now the murder of 16 year old Nex Benidict, who died in the hospital a day after the assault.

I love that queer can mean ‘I don’t know what I am’. I love that queer can mean ‘it’s none of your business what I am’. And i love that queer can mean ‘I know exactly what I am, but it’s a long list that I don’t feel like reciting every time’.
