It's the first time I ever lost a character in a ttrpg and her death was very meaningful and well executed and still I'm really...dunno?

The same feeling you've when you finished a really good book, game or series. I spend 9 months with her, had her whole story, character, goals, wishes and desired future in my head. I had so much fun with her and the story was so deep and meaningful.

And still. I need time to recover from that. Recover from her death. Recover from losing her. Not returning to her every other day and living her life.

That being said I'm even more confused now by all dnd players I'm seeing or even know. The sheer amount of characters they lose and they just make a new one for the next session. This feels so weird and foreign to me.

Had to think about someone I know who even wanted to kill their character off, without any payoff or anything. Just so they could move on.

People are different and that's okay. But it feels weird to me.
