My friend speaks up for minority voices to be heard –> this

She is so professional and sweet and genuine. She listens to everybody. She empathises, she tries to understand. She tries to make a stand for what she thinks is morally right. She wrote the only articles to be RTd hundreds of times for TheLoo and POI. Because they were quality and because she was inclusive and talented. And it’s professional of her to act like that when her ‘bosses’ are in fact petty, inconsiderate and - I’m not exaggerating - stalkers.

For anyone unaware. This is the ignorance and selfishness my friend had to put up with and is being so professional and calm on twitter. But the above is the truth. They stalked us all. They treat and view Nico and fandom as garbage. They did this so callously just 1 day after the paramedics. One. Day. Unfollow Talk nerdy with us. They’re horrible. @damnlexa @posterheda @thequarantine @hedaswarrior @hellalez @turtleduckie

Its not as bad as last time. Not gonna go into detail at all. We’re just fucking gutted and wish we’d done more. Leo is devastated. I don’t know if you know him on twitter but he is @leomjones88 on twitter and hes the nicest guy in the world and he blames himself all for this. He just told us this is all his fault. Hol deactivated Nico’s twitter account. Please do not ever ask her about this PSA thing. If you follow Leo please send him some love. This is not his fault and Nico was going through a really rough time. She’s ok it wasn’t as bad as last time. Shes ok but please send Leo some love- he thinks its all his fault and it really really isn’t. He just keeps blaming himself and hes crying in the corner and we don’t know what to do. Please send him love if you can. Thanks. I opened the asks and stuff again just in case. Let me tell you Nico is the bravest, most moral, noble , honourable, sweet, big hearted person I have ever met. I love you loads xxx

We showed Nico the sideblog- this is what Joe recorded as a reaction. Speaks of the Leskru/clexakru then reads out one of her favourites, then praises the POI people who sent her stuff in about reading her articles, talks about "Reaction Video Girl!!" (@damnlexa on tumblr) and how TV has changed/Lexa was a role-model and how the fan-response, especially the fan reaction video for 3x07 made her want to write about it.. Her enjoyment of POI hasn't been lessened... she's still recovering please give her time...and as for me, Nico has nothing to apologise for. I would take a bullet for her, I can handle a few unpleasantries.. xx

Nico: here’s what we want to tell you guys about this little’un

So we’re closed! Ok so we’ve been working on this post and we know that a lot of you care about Nico because of the sheer volume of messages on here, and initially on twitter- and we also know you guys don’t know her IRL. it doesnt matter - she’s still an amazing person. But some things you might not know and fun factoids:

Nico somehow managed to donate over a bazillion donations $105 to this fundraiser for the Trevor Project, $50 to two POI fundraisers including this one and $65 total for her @talknerdywithus friend Tracy to go achieve her dream. Her response? “*shrug* That’s what student loans are for”, laughs about it, jokes, “don’t tell me the transfer rate” and the last one “dreams aren’t worthy a bloody pound”- this is someone who comes from a poor background and just did it out of generosity

Dealing with personal bereavement you told fans that grief over lexa was fair and opened up your twitter to console others, even though you were going through your own shit

She volunteers with LGBTQ youths regularly, and also in the community centre where she goes CBT, helps out with stuff, makes staff brews, brings along biscuits and stuff - to knitting and sewing clubs - people who were strangers. She literally could’ve just gone straight to CBT but she always goes early so she can do this.

That homeless dude outside premier. Chatted to him multiple times. One time you didn’t have change and you gave him a beer instead, and chatted for ages, turns out he was a lovely guy.

One of the first to listen to the LGBT fans and the trend. You stood up to bullying against minorities and admitted you couldn’t represent them all, that you still had to learn. You’re 22. But you’re maturer than most older than you.

But you’re still immature! Nurse-flirter...

The the 1st person Coop came out to bc she knew you’d be non judgmental and accepting. And you were exactly that. You nodded, and said “that’s cool” and hugged Coop and then offered her your beer from the fridge when she was going to open a Bud and just said “this one’s colder.”

Printed off @moryan and @hellalez articles and stuck them everywhere in our house for us to read lmao and circled points with commentary like “boom!” and “ON POINT!” and “DON!” - and don’t get me started on how many ‘dench’s there were...

Is so open about everything. Triggers here-->but Nico’s always been open about her addictions, her insomnia, her illnesses including BPII, sometimes aggression when hypo’ing. Not to draw attention but because shes a passionate advocate for anti-stigmatisation of mental health disorders. Nico won’t let herself be defined by her MHD’s...she sometimes scolds us on wording (”person with disability” not “disabled person”....and disability=/=ability) and is just a general bloody good person.

Quit smoking! Ok admission: Nico when we were packing we literally couldnt find your e-cig anywhere so er Hol bought you a new one on next-day delivery but I swear we didnt lose it!!

On a hypo she once baked. Like baked. As in we woke up to the smell of brownies and a giddy Nico who was covered in flour who’d made 4 cakes and 5 batches of brownies overnight. We had to also stop her from going to buy an entire lamb, somehow shoulder it home, and create a medieval spitroast in our backyard. 

She’s a great slack-liner. She’s also got great hippie pants. 

Remember that time u fell head over heels for that mysterious chick and wouldnt tell anyone who it was but penned a diary and then a letter but never sent it and then hid the diary and asked if cassette recorders were still around to make a mixtape and now I guess you’re over it (or not then we’re sorry but you did say it was impossible) but basically Nico’s an old school romantic

Checks that Trevor Project fundraiser everyday. Screenshots comments and saves it on her folder to read when she needs cheering up. Sometimes she’s just chilling, scrolling through the fundraiser, refreshing it, it lifts her mood.

We just wanted to tell you this ‘cause you all know Nico’s special and this stuff you might not have heard before. Like Nico’s always been open about all this - her mental health etc - but sometimes there are dark times like this, and this is really the darkest tbh, but sometimes we do make light of it. Not to see it as a joke - but because that’s how we deal with it ourselves and we recognise, and Nico recognises, that people handle it differently. There’ll be some days Nico doesn’t wanna talk to anyone, and we get that. But Nico’s so open because she doesn’t want anyone with these disorders, or mental health issues, addictions, etc - stop them from achieving their goals, be ashamed of themselves... she’s said that. She’s not “loud and proud” about it but if anybody has a lowpoint or depression or bipolar or anything she openly talks about it to them, because she’s always like ‘why not? Humans are humans.’ It’s just the attitude she has to people. Gay, bi, lesbian, black, trans, Hispanic, homeless, Filipino...it doesn’t matter. We’re all just flesh and blood to her and a heart.

And we want to post it because Nico you’ll see this and you know what you don’t know how special you are, how loved you are by everyone, how many people you’ve moved. How important some of your words have been. And despite you thinking you’re undeserving of all that praise and love...you ARE. You’re one of the best people out there. You’re not a bad person. You often believe that, and you’re not. You’re special, talented, bold, compassionate, intelligent, witty, brave, eager to learn, humble...one day maybe you will recognise this. You stand up to people who get bullied. You condemn hate and advocate for love. You always write stuff way beyond 22yrs old. You’re full of integrity. You admit your faults and openly accept them,

You’re a cheeky bugger. You chatted up that bartender at closing time and tried to impress her by stacking up the chairs to help her , when we was outside, and nearly did your back in lmao. Apparently you’ve already cozied up to two nurses in hospital (you idiot). But more importantly you’re kind, considerate, accepting of everyone, never judgmental, never prejudiced, you have a huge heart and you love so much. You must’ve inspired a load of people, you really must have... you dont even know the amount of DMs and stuff we got for you. People care and love you. I know you’ve seen the whole forum mess and I know you’re staying away from whatever that is, but I went into that One hundred thread and they were dead nice to me. I think they may have changed their minds about Leo too, but i dont know cos there was loads of people in there (and I totally got spoiled for Empire...dammit Naomi Campbell). A lot of their fandom really love you, they do. You’re always the 1st to help someone out... Today we’re gonna help you out :) We love you to pieces ...we’re also kinda sleep-deprived so sorry if we’re like...zombies.
