"Off the Wall! Magical!" or "Hey Peabrain! U Levitate?" by Junie & TheHutFriends are both very "power of friendship", lighthearted fantasy songs
"Oubliette" by Aurelio Voltaire hits all the boxes of "adventure!"
"Babylon" by Dirt Poor Robins hits a lot of god-complex notes
"Dead Man's Party" by Oingo Boingo is pretty famous, but is also definitely frivolous about death
It is time for me to ask The Question: calling on y'all and your various tastes to recommend me new songs for the WIP! It's a lighthearted fantasy, and I'm looking for anything reminiscent of:
Way too frivolous about death
Adventure!!!
Besties, especially committing Crimes together
Guilt complex and/or "I am literally The Greatest" complex
"I'm gonna kick your ass" vibes, especially "I came out here to attack and I'm honestly having such a great time right now"
It bears repeating: no romance, only the power of friendship, even if it's unrequited "Nightmares Never End" style

For the random questions ask: What’s one trope you wouldn’t write, except for money? - 🍀 (@enchanted-lightning-aes)
Hi there! Thanks a lot for the question (and sorry it took a bit to answer, hah-)
I think probably "contrived miscommunication", especially if it's for drama. Classic means of moving the plot along and creating interpersonal tension, and it can be done well, but I personally find it just infuriating enough that I avoid it.

Passed a building for what I assume was some sort of pest control business and out front they had a huge banner that was just a close up photo of a rat with the words “public enemy #1” superimposed. No other text.

10 First Lines
Thanks for the tag, @drabbleitout! I haven't seen this one before--it seems like a lot of fun!
Rules: Post the first lines of the last 10 things that you’ve written
1, The Albatross: The video feed showed the walls of the research vessel’s dark corridor, lined with human skins and hair.
2, Three's a Crowd (please don't ask): Why did it always have to be DocBots?
3, The Dragon in the Lemonwillow Tree: The sunlight that filtered through the leaves was goldening with sunset by the time Ester made her way down the stone path through the woods.
4, The City Goes Dark: The power went out at 8:00 sharp, after the sun had set and the shutters had been drawn.
5, Dead Reckoning (our lovely Dead in the Water Hunger Games AU): “It’s daybreak and you jackasses are already drunk?” Peacekeeper Herman seethed at the cluster of sailors who weren’t so much walking down the road as they were falling down against each other at just the right angle to propel the cluster in a general forward direction.
6, Dead in the Water (the actual novel): The motive that drove Rebecca to her lover’s property that brisk autumn morning had less to deal with affection and more with determination to prove her innocence in case he had, in the few weeks since they’d last met, come across some unfortunate demise, which was ironic considering what was about to happen.
7, My Name is Criminal (rewrite): Jammed in the back of a hole-in-the-wall dive halfway between home and the scene of our imminent crime, me and my partner establish an alibi.
8, Swan Song of the Wrongfully Drowned: Sawyer could remember every moment of his death and every moment leading up to it.
9, Longshot (Starbound fanfiction): For one bright, shining moment, Shane McAllister was nothing but a patch of shattered atoms sailing like spent booster fuel through the infinite, ancient darkness of space, incandescent dust on a primordial sea of ink spangled with flickers of light from miscellaneous suns, and all was right in the universe.
10, The Star-breaker's Code (original fiction based on the Starbound fanfiction): Generally, it’s considered bad taste to begin a story with a character waking up, but given this was the manifestation and ostensible manager of all information in the knowable universe and given that they were waking up in the wrong body—a dead one, in fact—an exception seems appropriate.
Considering that most of these were from weeks or months ago, this has really put into perspective how diligent I've been with the Albatross! Which is not to say I haven't been starting new WIPs left and right, just that I constrain them to notes form and don't distract myself with actually drafting any lines, let alone first ones.
Tagging, if you'd like, but no pressure: @spacebrick3, @incandescent-creativity, @maple-writes and whoever else would like to share! (It can be chapters, not separate projects, if that's easier)

Some horrifying revelations have caused me to make this poll. Get chatty in the tags, as always! Especially curious if you read generally; if you read a lot and don't use your library I'd love to know why and what you use instead.

Using scientific notation is probably the easiest way to read out gigantic numbers, (where 1 * 10^9 is a billion, for instance), and that doesn't run into problems with number naming.
I don't know the prefix for what 10^324 (or 10^323, or 10^322) would be, but there's no problems reading out "4.385847038493939432323238942 x 10^324".
Then, really, the upper limit on how big of a number is physically possible to say out loud isn't based on the actual size of the number, but your precision—how many digits you're reading out. And it'd take a lot of digits to be physically impossible, although past 100 digits it'd certainly get annoying.
If you want prefixes, there are various systems people have come up with for naming any arbitrarily large number, although probably no one else will know what they mean.
Is there a point from which we can no longer say numbers out loud due to them not having a name?
Like numbers are infinite but humans aren't so if someone theoretically wanted to read out loud a gigantic number, do you think they could?

Forge Cleric and Armorer Artificer are both sort of magic-blacksmith themed classes, who are geared around wearing heavy armor and fighting with weapons they've crafted/imbued with magic themselves- (Cleric for more spiritual, Artificer for more tinkerer, depending on the character's vibes)
now that i've started thinking of Maya's RCU story as a dnd game I can't stop thinking of it as a dnd game
