Look it's no secret I really don't like SNW but like... I'm allowed to hate it. I'm allowed to complain about it and point out how stupid and disrespectful the showrunners choices are.
At the same time, you are allowed to love it and talk about how great you think it is. Me commenting about why it's bad isn't me saying "you can't have a different opinion". You can. You can absolutely gush over SNW if you want.
Like, I think you're dead wrong and don't care about the implications of a major studio trying to erase the source material and replace it with their own sterilized, aggressively hetero version, but you're entitled to your opinion.
I am also proudly hosting a small exhibition of art inspired by Kirk and Spock and will be giving away signed pictures/freebies with the suggestion of a small donation to help the art/fanworks collection/rescue/archive. Anyone who can't make it but wants to support can get in touch @ksproject
For more info on the hows/whys and character/Trek analysis, click on the 'Making of' video below (some spoilers).
As well as those credited, I'd like to extend a huge thank you to all the fans I've met on my travels and online, whose enthusiastic response to my "real life" Kirk encouraged the production of this small flavor of possibility...
Score composed by musical maestro @pazak, who is also here, so give her a follow!
I was walking to the gym one day and saw a bear with some trash on the street. He was on a small sun-faded plastic child's chair.
On the way back, the bear was gone, but I noticed a trail of white fluff down the street. As I walked, I realised it was the bear's innards, and I found the bear's skin torn up in an abandoned trolley.
The rest is as follows:
A wash (it took about half an hour to collect all his stuffing)
2. Reassembly and pet brush to de-matt
3. Eyes polished. (they were all scratched up)
4. Eyebrows
5. Nose (science blue)
6. Boots
7. Pants
8. Tunic (with a hand-embroidered emblem and some spare braid)
9. Spock
10. Spirk
🙃
BONUS: I also found this guy recently. Another project!

Day Ten: Mindmeld
Sometimes Jim forgot Spock was an alien.
“Meld with me.” Spock’s voice was husky. They’d been kissing, hands slid up uniform tunics.
“You’re sure?” Jim swallowed. Spock gave a barely-there smile.
“Yes, please Jim…” Jim’s heart skipped a beat. In the red lighting Spock appeared utterly alien; the curve of his ears and flared eyebrows were not human. Fear shot up his spine as Spock’s fingers made contact - he felt something in his mind…yet the presence was not unwelcome. As he relaxed the presence shifted - it felt like desire - Jim kissed his first officer, the sensation reverberating through the meld.
“What’s the relationship between these two characters?”
How normal people would answer: Oh they’re best friends.
How some writers/actors answer: it’s…a love story, really. It’s like a romance. They’d marry each other in a heartbeat. They want to grow old together and move to a cottage in the countryside. Of all the romantic partners in their life, their relationship is the closest and most special…wait, are they GAY?! Ew, no WTF is wrong with you?!!?!!!?!?! Quit perverting friendships!!!!! Why can’t two people just be friends anymore 😤
