can someone explain to me why hate groups exist. like actually why. what is going on in your walnut brain to think that any other human being is inherently below you. are these people incapable of critical thinking or are they missing something or like.. what is it

Noah Schnapp trying to apologise by saying his words have been misconstrued. You were gleefully videoing your friends as they were proudly showing off stickers that read “Zionism is sexy” you posted misinformation and uplifted hateful voices of your peers. You were silent for far too long and conveniently come back when your show is being publicly boycotted on social media because of you and likeminded cast members. Nothing was misconstrued you just regret that there are consequences.

El and Mike breaking up in a gentle and quietly emotional scene would be such a contrast to their first breakup. It'd be a show of great maturity, and, in that sense, it does make sense to let them be older when it happens. They're making a decision as people who are getting close to adulthood, as people who have realized they do care deeply for each other, and want to keep each other in their lives.
Their breakup will come across as the most sincere and caring part of their relationship, and they will finally come together as friends in a bittersweet moment.

season 1 is so pure. just mysteries & a beautiful soundtrack & sobbing from joyce's "i love you more than anything in the world" to will & no stances yet known about how the actors & writers feel about human rights đŸ„° those were the days

so when straight people ask me why I say I’m “queer” or “gay” instead of sharing my actual identity as a panromantic demisexual non-binary sapphic queer I just tell them “ok look, when you’re talking to someone who isn’t local and they ask you where you’re from and you either say the name of the largest city nearby or ‘town name, suburb of large nearby city’ so they can get some geographical context of where you’re located right, bc they’re probably not going to know the name of the little town you actually live in.”
but if you’re talking to a local you can say the name of your actual town bc they have a greater chance of knowing where/what that is.
ok well when I’m talking to a straight person I start with queer bc chances are they aren’t as familiar with the context of all the little towns in that big queer city and need gps (gay positioning system) to find me.
if I’m talking to another queer person and I say I live in a suburb of gay city in a town called panromantic on the demisexual side of the tracks which is in the county of queer and I live off the intersection of non-binary and sapphic, they’d probably be able to find me with little to no problems, make sense?

RANT abt talking to family about Palestine
i talked to my closest family member yesterday in person for the first time about Palestine and basically they made it known that they don't care, and my soul feels like it's being ripped in opposite directions.
I've been working on accepting people for where they're at (unless they actively root FOR evil shit), bc i've been at a place too before where the oppressive forces of the world weren't something i had the mental space for, and i know this person is a good person in their heart (despite wanting to simplify it to not caring= bad person, there's way more nuance than that) & if they have to ignore everything to keep their own will to live then i understand, but it'll always hurt when someone close to you isn't an ally, bc that means you can only let them get so close to you. there HAS to be walls up, bc you can't express how you truly feel to them, and that sucks.
i tried a few times to say things like how i've experienced the weight of oppression the last few years due to disability after living such a privileged life and how that's opened my eyes to the fact that if someone isn't personally affected by these things, they don't care. i forgot to mention how living in america and having a privileged life means we directly benefit from genocide and are complicit if we don't actively fight it :/
i'm just big time crossing my fingers and toes that someday they get it. and realize that one of the only things in this life worth a damn is sticking up for those who are being held down on the neck by a big fat boot. bc ultimately we privileged ppl benefit the most from those ppl being held down.
it reminds me of how important the people who you surround yourself with are. if you're only around people who don't give a shit, it'll feel totally normal and acceptable to not care. but if you're around ppl who are tuned in, you'll see them fighting for others in everything they do, which will become normal and with any luck it'll rub off on you too. but that's why acceptance is so important bc if the ppl who care immediately shun the ppl who don't, they'll never be around ppl who care, which means they may never see that side of things or be presented the opportunity to try thinking about it.

"So, take notes, Butcher Biden: The ancestors of the Ireland that you claim to be from disown you. Keep our country out of your mouth. And as for von der Leyen (President of the European Commission), and genocidal Germany with your words and deeds supporting Israel in the ICJ: Not in our name! The people of Europe stand with Palestine and with South Africa."

Oh my god I thought I was done being pissed at the Noah Schnapp video, but Crutches&Spice who worked in marketing made a video and talked about how Noah’s statement wasn’t just written by a marketing firm, but seemingly had input from a zionist political organization. One of the key tells was Noah stuttering over Palestine, which most people noticed. It wasn’t a simple mistake—he corrected himself halfway through saying “friends from Palestine” to “friends from Palestinian backgrounds” because the goal was again to make sure not to affirm Palestine as a state.

hey so when season 5 inevitably fucks up a character arc or has a shitty plot point or does something else dumb and/or offensive, we're gonna let people be critical and complain without being dicks just bc byler became canon and so no one should have any complaints at all and excuse the entire rest of the show and plot, right?
right?
