Danny has a lot of mental disorders that have gone unchecked. When he was a child mental health wasn't a bug concern so he adapted to them himself, but that turned him into an unfeeling killer.

He lacks the ability to love anyone, doesn't feel empathy nor care about any consequences to his actions. He just knows he needs to be smart enough not to get caught.
