Contributor Applications Close in 1 Week!

We've been getting reports that some people have been getting these bug bites on their arms that almost look like they spell something out. But "Zapply for the Zine" doesn't mean anything... does it? Maybe the Soothsquitoes should learn how to spell.

Anyway, there is only ONE WEEK LEFT to apply to be a contributor for the zine! That's right, applications close next Wednesday, May 1.(Told you it would be here before you knew it!) We are so thrilled with the applications we've received already, and we could always use more! The links to the applications are below:

If you ever wanted an excuse to draw/write/create scenes with the Pines family enjoying the various seasons in beautiful Gravity Falls, Oregon, this is your chance! THE COUNTDOWN BEGINS

Greetings! (We've decided kids still say that...)

This past week we have been putting together the mod team (you will absolutely LOVE them; they are great!) and getting everything ready for the zine. While that's been happening, we have been getting closer and closer to Contributor Applications, and now it's time to start the countdown!

In one week, on April 1, Contributor Applications for the zine will open and stay open until May 1!

If you are interested in contributing to a SFW (family-friendly) zine focusing on the Pines family enjoying the seasons of the year together, we'd love to have you apply! We will be looking for Page Artists, Writers, and Merch Artists, so there are a lot of different ways to contribute! Visit our basic contributor application information here, and check out our question and answer posts here

We are so stoked to have you apply! If there are any questions, please feel free to ask. In the meantime, stay tuned for posts about specific contributor applications, more of the countdown, and the chance to get to know the mod team!

GF SEASONS ZINE INTEREST CHECK!

The GF Seasons Zine Interest Check is now officially live! The form will be open for two weeks (from the 23rd Feb to March 8th at 11:59 EST). 

The zine will focus on the Pines family hanging out and enjoying the four seasons of the year together. Do you want to see who would win in a snowball fight between Stan and Ford? What the Pines family would get up to on a rainy spring day? Or perhaps you want to see the Mystery Twins jumping in piles of autumn leaves? Whatever you’re thinking, fill out the form and let us know! 

This zine will be looking for moderators, artists, writers, and merch artists to come together and depict our favourite family having fun! The amount of contributors we accept and whether the zine is digital or physical will be determined after the interest check closes. More information can be found on our Carrd.

In honor of Finish Your F***ing Fic February - and as a late Week 4 Stanuary: Strangers and Brothers entry - I present this Gravity Falls vague Legally Blonde AU, aka the one where Stan graduates high school and decides he may as well give this whole college thing a go too.

"Education is the gateway to opportunity."

Stan never took that seriously until he got kicked out. He could leave town, make a living on the road and hope for the best, or...

He could stay and graduate high school.

All he has to do is pull up his dismal grades, ignore his brother, get his teachers to take him seriously, and get a job cuz - oh right, he's still broke.

But hey! He's Stan Pines!

Sloooowly cracking through the last of my Stanuary prompts!! I swear I’ll get to them (and Forduary!) eventually.

I didn’t quite get the effect I was hoping for but I think it’s pretty close! I hope you like it :))

Stanuary Bingo: Family

EDIT: Had a play with the multiply layer over the image to see if I could use contrast to make the layers stand out more and I’m pretty happy with it! Makes me with I’d gone for more of a cracked mirror effect, though as it made me realise just how wonky those light lines would be, haha.

(Have a dorky thumbnail, too, just for fun! :))

Hope everyone is ready for some HUNKLES! We're planning a TWO YEAR CALENDAR this time, for 2025 and 2026. Not two separate calendars, but two calendars, together! Like twins! 2025's theme will be a Mullet!Stan calendar, with probably some Researcher!Ford thrown in. 2026's theme will be two old men around the house or ship, just doing stuff. Like baking cookies or watching TV. Something more domestic and homey, as opposed to the adventures and monsters of calendars past. More details to come, but for now, it's time to GET HYPED!!!
