The coolest part of the DAO Toolkit are these comments that the writers made for how the lines should be delivered. This is about Morrigan reacting to Alistair hearing all the people died. He apparently cried like a baby... ;o; ;o; ;o;
there are so many notes like this. I don't remember the same kind of notes for lines in the Inquisition files, but those were so hard to look at in comparison that maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough?
I like to think of Alistair visiting the Hero of Fereldon pretty often even as a king. The tomb is said to be pretty grand in Weisshaupt Fortress. Always bringing her a bouquet of roses in hand and he talks to her about his life without her and his troubles. Counting the days before he's called into the deep roads. In hopes of joining her finally in the fade.
alistair/warden is actually killing me though like it鈥檚 so easy to get caught up in the fact that they have the fates of nations on their shoulders. they are the heroes of this story, they鈥檝e lost everything that matters to them and they鈥檒l have to give up even more before this is all over - that鈥檚 part of the job description. but then they actually interact with each other and you鈥檙e brought crashing back down to the realisation that they are just kids falling in love. like it literally doesn鈥檛 matter that they鈥檙e fighting armies of darkspawn on the daily, their voices are still going to tremble when they say I love you for the first time. their hearts are still going to be racing when they realise they鈥檙e about to lose their virginity together. first date on friday, battle of denerim on saturday - it鈥檚 just special writing that you can feel the weight of both of those things at the same time in this story.
Lady Layenne Tabris, Mistress of King Alistair, being sad :(
Can you believe this is the first time I've put Layenne in a fancy ball gown? URGH, this was SO overdue! Anyway, Layenne really loves fashion and all so I like to imagine that even her enemies at court are like: "Damn, she knows how to dress."
In canon I let her and Alistair remain Grey Wardens so they can live in peace but sometimes I'm into the drama of a King/Mistress AU. Also in that one Layenne gets to wear all the fancy dresses~
An overview of Layenne's life for you (and for me also lol). Please give a 鉂わ笍 for baby Layenne!
In case you're wondering what "happily ever after" means, I'm still trying to figure that out myself lol. Maybe they will adopt 3 kids and then Alistair has the family he's always dreamed of. Who knows?
