Found these gems a couple weeks ago. Bionicle was a new brand of Lego Technic type action figures. The first of its kind. Currently Lego is selling a "Hero Factory" brand of buildable action figures. These were pretty popular back in 2001 when they came out, every dude in the sixth grade was collecting them at least in my class. There was also a Comic series done by DC Comics that accompanied every issue of the Lego club magazine. Later there was even a Bionicle Film and Nike Bionicle shoes. McDonald's happy meals featured some of these toys and trading cards in their happy and mighty kids meals. Wish the pictures were better but this is what survived of my collection.

Valentine's day weekend. Funny but weird. I'm assuming the guy blanked out because he was probably a kid that watched cartoons instead of the more mtv or celebrity based programming.
