Thanks to Charlie’s sacrifice I was able to win and become Pokemon champion of  Galar! Go me! Will this be the end of my adventure...?

The final battle against Leon started of pretty easy, to be honest. His Pokemon were weak enough that I could switch in a very effective mon from my team without it dying on the spot. However then his Charizard entered the battle, and it had Max Growth, which is just unfair. Sadly it killed Charlie before I could defeat it.

So now I’m finally going to get to fight the current Champion, right? So me and my team had a little training session in the city, just to be sure.

On the roof of the energy plant was a super-strong Pokemon, which I caught, of course. After Leon failed to catch it, even. I named her Evelyn, but I’m not sure I want to have her in my team.

After getting the rusty sword, I went to the Hammerlocke Energy Plant, where the old man decided to fight me. This must have been the easiest fight yet. Bookmark, my Centiskorch, was effective against all of his steel Pokemon, and the entire battle felt like he had not battled anyone in decades. Absolute letdown.

Another disruption happened shortly before I could face the current Champion Leon. I was only half listening to what was happening, but I suddenly found my self in the Slumbering Weald with Hop, and we found an old rusty sword and shield. I got the sword. I have no idea why that is more important than defeating Leon, though.

So after beating the pink kid the Championship Matches started. I’m sure I’m missing something, but I’m up against the same gym leaders I already defeated once. And they even tell me who I’m up against next, so it’s quite trivial to put the right Pokemon first and one-shot all of their mons.

Phew! It feels like months has passed, but finally the Championship Matches started... until that weird pink kid paused everything again to challenge me. I don’t know what the thought process was, because I have won all of our fights so far...

So I got Marco’s Key, we went into the tower where we think Leon is hiding from us, and now we’re in an elevator with a couple of other trainers, who only have steel-type Pokemon. Guess who our current team leaders are? Hop’s is his normal-type Dubwool, mine is Olaf, an ice-type. So neither of us is any good against these trainers, and since they are attacking non-stop, neither of us can change their team around.

After Axel died, I traded Adora into the team for him, so she now she has quiet a bit of training and evolved into Machoke - at which point I managed to get a friend to trade her back and forth, so now she’s a Machamp.

...also I’m a bit uncomfortable with her not wearing shirts.

I’ve not really followed the discussion after we left the hotel, but I think we are searching for a guy named Marco Cosmo. He has a key for a building we can’t get into right now. So I’ve no idea why he waits for us in front of the station, instead of going into the building we can’t access.

Also for some reason or another Marnie has latched onto my side to give me an attack bonus. Today is just one of these days...

I’m a bit confused right now - but that might be the due to hunger. Hop and I wanted to go have a bite to eat with his brother. Leon however sent a messenger goth saying he can’t make it.

So the solution is to... go on a wild goose-hunt through the city to find Leon and force him to come with us?

Why, Hop? Why is the solution not to just go out without him? Or, if we are strapped for cash, I still have a nice tasty Mr. Mime in my Pokemon PC...

It’s a real shame I have to fight to trainers I already know (and have beaten before). At least hope tried to win against me, without luck though. His team is really lacking in diversity.
