(Sneak peak of chapter 6 of The Red Means I Love You. I haven’t finished the full chapter yet tho and this literally the only active wip I have. Anyways…)

Liam's eyes blink open slowly, eyelids fluttering due to the desk lamp that’s still too bright for his oversensitive sleepy eyes. He doesn’t remember how his head came to rest on his arms over his desk or even drifting to sleep in the first place, yet here he is, groggy and trying to blink the slumber from his eyes.

He brings his hands to rub over his face for a few moments, mainly over his eyes, relishing in the static-like patterns that his vision forms before opening his eyes and scanning his surroundings. He takes notice of his messy desk and the faint red marks and impressions that his sweater had left on his forearms.

“Hey Theo, I’m definitely not getting an A but I just might—”

Liam's words get caught in his throat when he looks over to his bed, where Theo appears to be fast asleep, though he doesn’t seem comfortable.

Theo is still in the same position he was in when they were studying; legs crossed and his back leaning on the back of Liam’s headboard, but now one of his legs dangles off the edge of the bed while the other is still tucked. The textbook that was previously in his hands is now abandoned on his lap, and his head hangs off his shoulder to the side. Liam is confident that Theo is going to feel sore when he wakes up due to the angle his neck is bent at, but for now, Liam just watches in awe at how peaceful Theo looks.

The thought of taking a photo just to taunt Theo lingers in his mind for a few seconds and though it’s amusing, Liam chooses not to. Doing so will only guarantee a punch to the face when Theo tries to grab his phone and delete the picture. Besides, Liam has a pretty good photographic memory so he doubts he’ll ever forget this. He doesn’t want to.

People will be like “Theo sucks,” and it’s like yeah, that’s part of the appeal! That’s my Tom Ripley-esque failwolf who is so needy for validation but bad at figuring out how to get it. That’s my scheming murder boy who trips and falls flat on his face every time he tries to make a dastardly plan. He’s out here with the abs of a god and the smirk of a porn star top yet he STILL can’t make it in this world lol it’s amazing.

I’ve been trying to update the red means I love you but every time I get into it, I’m hit with ideas on future chapters that I haven’t set the foundation for yet or I get another idea for a different fic. I’m literally jumping between three fics and none of them are getting done because I can’t focus on one for long enough to get it done. Help will be greatly appreciated if anyone has any suggestions😭
