Testing some renders and a new GPU I decided to have another go with Jade and Ghost, and I think it looks better than my previous one 👀.

this is my official announcement and formal warning that, following the inevitable announcement of Elain Archeron’s book, I will be losing all chill and regressing into a feral, undomesticated, flea-ridden stan gnawing at the bars of my metaphorical enclosure.

No one will be safe. No theory post will go without an excited, and perhaps even incoherent, comment from me. I will be liking all the things. Devouring all the fanart. Screaming and screeching as my heart desires. I will not be tame about this and woe to those who try and stop me.

Because it’s gotten so incredibly popular over the years, I feel like this notion gets ignored a lot, but I don’t mind saying it:

The ACOTAR series isn’t for everyone.

There are themes, characters, and plot lines that not everyone will like or enjoy. In fact, I’d argue that ACOTAR is really for people that love and indulge in High Fantasy, and knows that putting excessive modern day expectations on High Fantasy is NOT realistic. It’s for people who enjoy classic themes and motifs, as well as fantasy romance and all that entails.

So when I see people hate the IC, Rhysand, Feyre, Nessian, Elriel, and the structure of the Fae world, all I can think is…yeah, this story might not be for you.

Maybe, if you hate all the main characters and the main storyline, you should read something else??

I’m hoping since Azriel is the quietest/most reserved bat boy, that acotar 6 is a certified treasure trove of wing body language. When Elain walks by and his wings twitch from holding back and resisting, just as they did in HOFAS 🥰

I feel like there's two levels of chronically online. There's like, the variety where you recognize obscure memes and stupid drama and post constantly but have some sort of tether to reality and have friends in the real world and read the news from time to time, and then there's the kind where you genuinely don't realize that your political position or feelings about popular media are not just non-mainstream but actively fringe and that it's not emotional labor to pick people up from the airport.
