i've been thinking about lore wise about having eyrie's old paladin mentor be part of the events of heavensward from western coerthas up until after the Vault where he leaves. I'm still working out their dynamic and this is some poking at that.

“The man I loved is dead!” Their voice breaks on the words like a confession. “He died for me! Died for this place! Died for what he believed in! Forgive my selfish desire to wallow in the depths of my grief for once!”

The tears run hot and heavy as they have for days now—rushing over them like a summer storm and sobs stick in their throat, thick and choking. Hands losing their grip on his that are still bunched in their dirty shirt.

“I cannot bear it…” They hang their head, messy strands sticking to the trails of tears. “Not this weight—not alone. I cannot hold the hopes of a nation no better than…Minfilia’s dream of the dawn. I cannot be that hope…not like this. Not at this cost. Tis so lonely inside my head…”

He sighs long and slow, loosening his hold upon their shirt and they sink back to the bed. He wraps his arms around them, the leather still cold, but they sink against him nonetheless. Press their face into the leather and he rests his hand at the base of their neck.

5. do you have any favorite / least favorite microgames?

favorite microgames: all of the nintendogs ones are an obvious start (from Smooth Moves, Gold and Move It!), most of the nintendo microgames from Gold are really good in my opinion.

besides that i actually do not hate the music-based microgames as much as i used to. Wario Dance Company (Smooth Moves) is sort of an injoke for how much the idea of failing it terrifies me (keep in mind smooth moves was my first warioware experience) but once you have it down its great! (i think)

least favorite microgames: Hurry Hurdles and Hurdling On are the bane of my existence. also not big on Wario Kendo or Wily Tiles considering ive only beat both of them like twice at most. also also not big on Great Juice just because of having to use 5volt for it in Remix 2

probably should throw together a boss microgame tier list sometime soon.

Most of my tags are actually blorbo related!

..and thus their contents are often quite vague, even for me ^^" I mostly just go by vibes!

ssav - story save; possible ideas for stories or character interactions! Even the vaguest of posts are in this tag! Sometimes I put every third reblog in this!

me while full of blorbo thoughts: *sees a dog sneeze* oH they would SO do this

bg - background; ideas for settings and backgrounds in my stories! This includes taking inspiration for various animals or plants! As well as overall vibes :>

chd - character design! As the title says! I am NOT good at designing things so I often take inspiration from other artists or real life examples! Of course not 1:1 :D

sav - quite outdated tag, it basically meant all three of the above together! But after a while I started separating them for clarity :>

save - things that may be more practical in the real world, so basically what people usually use this tag for!

Bonus:

big fav - it turns out there's moments where I am using the fav tag every second post, which is not ideal if I want to sensibly separate posts in this category! So big fav was created. I dread the day when I have to create big big fav or whatev.

I specifically made most of these quite vague, so as not to tag people's personal posts with blorbo thoughts just because there was a pretty bird or room decor in the background haha

I personally love how many jobs Sophie seems to have but I gotta ask -- what does Sophie do for work?

So outside of being an actress (she became a full employee at the local musical theatre at the end of Attitudes), she is also a voice actor.

This is her primary occupation tbh. It is what she's been doing since she was 4: she voices various ads, audiobooks, cartoon characters (her favourite), video game characters, dubs, etc. She's really good at it, and there's always work for her out there. After some soul searching in her adult life she even realises that she prefers voice acting to being on stage in person.

Additionally, she's doing some freelance work by performing at different events, restaurants, venues and so on. You know, these events with life music where the music is mostly there for the atmosphere/ambiance. This type of work is usually one time or seasonal, so she cramms it in between other stuff she's currently doing. But by the end of Attitudes she desides to stop: she was wearing herself too thin and needed to drop something in order to not drop dead from exhaustion.

😈 Has there been a point in a story where you did something just to be playfully mean to your readers?

Oh!! This is a good question to begin with. >:) I think the majority of DRU's plot is mean to both the readers and the characters. ;;;; although there are very specific parts in the outline that I wrote with the intention of being playfully evil.

Also, I think all of scenes involving Floyd in The Most Dangerous Game fic are written with the intention of being playfully mean to everyone. It's meant to be teasing and (hopefully) make you pine for Floyd as well because the entire plot is focused on you trying to attain someone you just can't have, so even though Floyd flirts with you it's difficult to know if he truly means it or if he's just being himself. And you spend so much time focused on Floyd that you fail to see who's in front of you and so easily accessible (Jade).

And for the last example that comes to my mind!!! The Dr. Riddle fic. There's a certain scene in the outline that I wrote knowing it would be very mean and evil when put into writing. orz it's a very painful scene. Riddle suffers and you, the readers, shall suffer alongside him. >_<

I really enjoy the cold actually!! ^.^ It's much easier to bundle up if I get cold than do the opposite if it's too warm. Once of the reasons I came to live in Circhester was the weather, it's really lovely imo.

19. What’re you excited about for next year?

Honestly, I feel like being excited for the future never ends up working particularly well for me, so I just hope I can find some sense of stability next year

9. Best month for you this year?

Definitely September. It seems to be a constant that it’s month I feel more hopeful and energized for some reason, but this year it was even more noticeable because August was like an emotional work in progress and September was the positive end result.

This may be vague, but you mentioned that your OCs/story are set in an alternate version of the 1930s, and you also mentioned Horrors, and I'd love to hear some more about the setting! Where it is, the general Vibe, more about the Business, etc?

Okay this is admittedly not Set In Stone but yes, my working Year Setting was going to be circa 1930s, although I'm very tempted to steal a page from ASOUE and just set it in "the year of the horse" i.e. "it's whatever year it needs to be for plot convenience"

The Horrors are... well. Essentially some twenty-odd years back the world got Twilight Zoned and now weird shit happens with increasing and unending regularity. I'm still deciding whether I want this to be worldwide OR just localized to a small area. Possibly even JUST the shop. I don't know yet either exactly how The Horrors began occurring, or if that's even a question that needs answering.

The shop is a pawnshop that I may switch to an antique shop in final. They're not the same thing but admittedly I don't know which would serve my purpose better and they have pros and cons. Like for example antiques would be more Haunted, but antique shops do not pawn, nor do they really buy from their clients and resell (much).

Plus I think an antique shop would be slightly cliche and I think a haunted flatscreen TV would be hilarious.

But ANYWAY

The business was Sam's, Faith took it over seven years after his death. Whether it was an inheritance or just... a case of her finding a derelict haunted shop and being like "I'm gonna bring that back to life" I'm not sure yet. Sam's ghost is still there of course, but the shop is haunted by more than just him. It kinda has a life of its own.

lmao any and all of them i'm a scaredy cat and I can't handle anything even remotely scary :'D can't even decide which of them would be the worst! they'd all suck!

4. what was the first game you played?

re4. back in 2005 when it was shiny and new and i loved it immediately :D my brother had played the first three at his friends' place and he was so hyped for the fourth, and when he'd played it he was all "y'know i think you'd like it. look how pretty the protagonist is." and ...i am only human :'D it was tons of fun! my brother was sitting beside me giving good advice and occasionally trying to freak me out by suddenly poking my side or making a loud noise when i was stressed lol. still looking back fondly to those times :D

10. do you like playing with tank controls when theres an option to? 

nope. i am just really bad at them 😅

15. things/characters you feel are overrated or underrated? 

uhm. I think a lot of the re6 characters are underrated. Piers and Jake and even Sherry don't get as much love as they deserve. and Ashley gets so much shit from the fandom without deserving it. and Krauser deserves more love too goddamnit.

as for overrated, I'm not gonna say anything because I know ultimately that is only my own bias talking and I don't wanna be mean. there are characters I don't like, but if someone does, good for them. they're not necessarily overrated just because I don't like them :'D

hahaha and yeah 1 and 3 are definitely Piers :'D there are others too for 3, tho, i kinda rambled about them here.

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o? so scorpion confessed to her but omg jori would be so nervous at first if she was the one to confess! when she works up the courage to do it she would write out a handwritten love letter confessing everything she feels! but she would still feel kinda nervous about it so she'd probably hide it in something that belongs to him so he would just find it... eventually lmao!

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings? when it comes to people she really likes and she is not yet in a relationship with she will play it so cool but will refuse to be alone with them. she's terrified of it being awkward! but when it comes to being in a relationship she will show her love with buying gifts! she likes making her partner smile! but she also really physically affectionate and likes to kiss all over his face or hold him as he's falling asleep.
