@radixnt-gxrden Asks: Cue Mia sneaking up behind Ienzo, grinning.
---
Ienzo couldn’t help but jump, dropping his clipboard as he felt a presence. Call it instinct from his time in the organization and having Xemnas or Saix appear behind you expecting a report. “Oh, it’s just you.” Ienzo’s tone was more relieved than anything. He meant it in a friendly way of course, anything would be better than Xemnas. “Sorry about that.”
Diluc stood before the grand cathedral with its towering spires and glittering stained-glass windows, and idly wondered whether having the cathedral built so tall was someone’s way of getting “closer” to Celestia and to the god that the city worshipped. They had no idea that said god was likely playing songs outside of his tavern to earn enough coin for a glass. If they did, they’d likely think twice about sending him their prayers.
But he was not there to join in the worship of Barbatos. A note from the Seneschal had been received the day before at the winery. A matter of “dire import” that required his presence personally at the cathedral following the morning service. He had little regular contact with the Seneschal, save for the occasional event that invited his presence to Dawn, but they had discussed matters regarding the Fatui in Mondstadt before and any matters regarding the safety of Mondstadt and its people he would, of course, treat with the utmost urgency and gravity.
The morning service emptied out, each attendee hurrying out to open their shops or see to their work, and Diluc swept inside as the last stragglers passed by. The nuns were busy about their work, tidying after the crowd. Diluc gave them a polite nod as he made his way down the aisle to the front where the Seneschal was in hushed conversation with his youngest daughter who, upon seeing him, quickly disappeared.
Odd.
“Seneschal, I hope I am not interrupting,” Diluc said as he finally stood close to the man. With his tall hat and glistening robes, the Seneschal seemed just like a smaller version of the ostentatious cathedral.
“Not at all, Master Diluc. We are most honored by your presence. Please, join me in my office. We’ll be joined by our Acting Grand Master shortly,” replied Seamus, guiding Diluc to a door at the back of the cathedral that led to a large office.
“The Knights are involved in this matter?” Diluc asked as he stepped into the office, feeling a prick of annoyance at the back of his neck. He stood beside one of the bookshelves in the office and idly glanced over the titles on the spines. Of course, he never expected to be requested to help directly in the defense of Mondstadt, having resigned from the Knights, but he’d been perhaps too optimistic about the possibility of not involving any Knights at all.
Diluc sensed a note of nerves in his tone as Seamus answered, “Not precisely… Only Jean. Please, have a seat. She should be joining us any moment.”

Hanekoma chuckled and tugged lightly at his chin, “Comin’ from you, boss, I would call that more of a threat than were it to come from the average individual. But hey, I suppose it would be a good way to get everyone to leave ya alone. Personally, I just like to say black is the most flatterin’ color for the figure. Not many can disagree with that logic. Somethin’ I can getcha, or did ya just stop by to make jokes?”
Not that he minded jokes. If that really was the only reason, Hanekoma would have a blast anyway.
Zhongli stretched, having a few scrolls out before him on ancient Liyue.
A research trip was always well-appreciated in Signe's eyes, but navigating Liyue Harbor was proving a difficult task. With booths in seemingly every corner, it was getting difficult for the magician to find her way around. Navigating the mountainous terrain surrounding the area was also going to prove difficult with her usual heeled boots.
She had been growing a bit peckish, and as she stopped by the nearest restaurant's outdoor seating area, she couldn't help but notice the man with ancient scrolls unfurled in front of him. Very subtly, she seated herself at the table next to him, stretching as far as she could to see what was on the scrolls. She was certain there was something of interest in those scrolls -- and if she could take a peek unnoticed...
❝ Hmm... ❞ there wasn’t a pause in Ienzo’s typing as Mia answered his questions. His mind going over the data he was putting in. He nodded his head at the right intervals until she asked him a question. ❝ Aside from inputting research data? ❞ he pointed out. ❝ I still have some more work to do after this. As Even has fallen sick and currently reccoperating in his room. I have to pick up his work as well as doing my own. ❞
Ah. Although things in Mondstadt had been rather quiet lately, it didn’t mean that the days weren’t busy nor that things truly slowed down. The mundane lives of its citizens were always full of gossip and the missions and requests never seem to slow down. Pets continue to go missing and the drunkards on the streets continue to cause small trouble from time to time. And not to mention the presence of the Fatui continue to be a nuisance.
But...it’s not like Huffman wasn’t use to it. Sometimes a little switch in the day can brighten it - or at the very least make it interesting.
❝ Master Diluc, ❞ the knight gave a small polite little bow upon entering the Angel’s Share tavern. ❝ Ah, it seems that Charles is taking the day off today? Quite a surprise seeing you bartending tonight~ (*a small chuckle*) Deciding to come back into the city walls for a bit? ❞
Ken hummed as he and Wormmon walked about, Wormmon back into his in training form. It seemed Ken was looking for Davis.
Davis was out in the Digital World with his partner, Veemon, and the two noticed Ken and Wormmon out in the open, but Wormmon was in his In-Training form, Minomon.
"Davis! It's Ken and Minomon!" Veemon shouted. "Ken? What happened to Wormmon?" Davis asked.

this mission was heavier than usual , but it was the way xion wanted it. they began to doubt her again , her and her worth. and of course she wanted nothing more than proof her worth , that’s why this time she took on a mission that were actually for a tag team , but xion took on this mission solo.
her target were multiple lesser heartless , leaded by one bigger heartless. after striking down the lesser heartless - already exhausted and injured - she dealed with the bigger heartless. a dragon heartless , with an enormously power. xion manged it somehow to proof strong against the heartless and defeated it at the end.
but , it left xion very damaged and injured , her coat was teared on several places , but her right arm was damaged the most. the big crawls of the heartless dragon moved over her whole arm , left behind a big scratch that really bad bleeded.
after she was done with her mission , she wanted to go back to the castle , but an unfamiliar voice that spoke to her stopped xion. she turned around , and grey eyes looked over to the stranger. her face was hidden by the hood , pulled deep in her face , holding her injured and still bleeding arm. who was he and why did he care about her . . ?
❝ i am fine , don’t worry about me. it’s just a little scratch , nothing more. but , who are you ? did you watch me while i fought the heartless . . ? ❞
The light, he felt it in abundance within this one area. Twilight Town was a rather odd world as it is but the people’s hearts..their fears, despair, envy..it was all quite delicious and proved to be enough to sustain him. There were so many people laughing, playing, just having a good time upon this beach until the sight of a large monster (scared the first few that saw it), that one scream garnered the attention of everyone else on the beach and sooner or later every last person was afraid and Vanitas to feel it..in fact he could smell it.
With a keyblade in hand he takes off to collect his hearts, hearts filled with the fear of seeing that monstrosity. Now, the fear grows far greater upon witnessing him. It didn’t take long before every person on the beach had met their ‘end’ and their hearts taken and devoured, leaving the citizens within a comatose state upon the floor. Now that the deed was done he felt the presence of another. “I didn’t think you’d be here.”
( @radixnt-gxrden ) asked : ❛ going home isn’t an option anymore. ❜ — Loki & Vanitas
Home. The very notion of it leaving Loki's lips fills him with a disgust he was ill prepared for. He thought he'd gotten used to the annoying trailing puppy and his idiocy, thought he'd come to tolerate him in the way a sane man might tolerate a flea-bitten stray following him incessantly. He was not prepared for this.
"Home—?" The word leaves his lips akin to a hiss, eyes bright with the utter fury that has filled him. He knows full well what Loki meant, and that their definition is as far apart as it can be, that Loki is being selfish. As always. Thinking only of himself—
That doesn't change the way his vision is bleeding red. The word home had vividly reminded him of the keyblade graveyard, of the battle with Ventus, of Xehanort. He could practically feel his scars aching at the reminder. Doesn't Loki know that his home has only ever been filled with loneliness and pain? The very idea of returning, of seeking it out, sickens him.
But he hasn't thought this through, the flash of fury unable to carry him past indignation, into retaliation. That would mean exposing a weakness he wasn't even sure Loki knew about. If he didn't, saying it was unacceptable.
Instead his fingers ball into fists, distinctly aware of the pull on his chest, the desire for his Unversed to manifest in reaction to his emotions. He can control it better, but sometimes they still come without being called. vanitas holds them back near desperately. They would attack Loki, he's sure. And Loki would do what he had been trained to do, and then Vanitas wouldn't be able to stand, never mind fight…
"You can always go crawling back to Xehanort. I bet he'll be happy to have his pet back." He spat the name of his former master with as much venom as he could muster, glaring at the other.
The others had failed. Ansem, Xemnas… Vanitas had only had brief interactions with the Nobody before and while they had been far more pleasant than expected, he did not want to be stuck around any iteration of Xehanort if he could help it. Nor Terra, actually…
"Do whatever you want, long as you stay the fuck away from me."
