i think a lot about how much trust and openness zed shows towards kayn. the boy literally is the only person zed told the whole story to, the one he trusted in case the suspicion he didn't want to believe proved to be true, the one he named his successor but more importantly the one who knows how important shen still is to him and the one who gets to laugh and make fun of him and it's lighthearted and it's okay because that's his boy and he wants to be better to him than the men he had in his life were to him, as masters or fathers and i just. i'm emotional about the best father and son in all of league of legends lore

after going back to lissandra stuff i keep thinking about her sisters coming back to haunt her again and again, always being reborn, and some incarnations being worse than others, and some lissandra managing to get rid of early on, and then there's ashe and sejuani, both who she had her frost priests try to get rid of, both surviving and becoming great powers on their own

i was looking at old katarina and garen bios and stuff bc idk talking about it yesterday made me nostalgic i guess and it's funny to me that they were obviously designed with the intent of them eventually a couple and yet it's been over a decade and here we are

anyway remember when bios had quotes from other champions and kat's was garen's and it said "The Sinister Blade of Noxus is like a black widow - beautiful, but deadly." be less obvious with the black widow inspiration rito

and also that garen's first bio said their fight literally had the witnesses commenting on the sexual tension ("It was beneath their mighty banners of war that Garen first met steel with Katarina, the Sinister Blade. The infantrymen who beheld this event (and survived) commented that it seemed as though the two were locked in a mortal waltz against a symphony of clashing blades.")

and that with the whole plot they used the journals of justice to tell kat and tal working together (🥹) to find marcus eventually led to them working with jarvan and garen because of stuff happening in demacia and when j4 reveals that and katarina shows up with him the dauntless vanguard immediately tries to kill her and garen fights them to defend her. as pictured below.

i am very critical of how the lore handles garen currently and how the comic handled their brief interaction and i think it's a ship that only works under certain circumstances but. old katgaren was top tier actually we love a good enemies to lovers in this house

my toxic trait is i read everything y'all write and i eat it up and i love your ships like even though i probably wouldn't care about them if not for y'all writing i'd read your yelling about them gladly and i'd read 10 page essays about them but then whenever i have brainrot about my own ships i just think i'll be annoying yelling about them 💁‍♂️
