i get so sad whenever i see a good fanfic writer deactivate omg </3 second one i’ve been sad to see go

honestly i do feel like with certain people deactivating, writing has been harder for me bc i liked to enjoy reading fics while i was actively putting out fics weekly. but now whenever i skim the genshin angst tag or anything like that nothing recent interests me nd then i’m even less inspired to write. it just feels like overall tumblr has been lacking a lot lately but maybe i’m missing out on the good stuff that doesn’t pop up on my feed

spoilers for scarashits backstory in this little analysis of your amazing work & genshit midpact canon;

scaramouche hates his mother, he loathes her greatly. and yet, he still craves her love, her affection her mere attention. but that’s not what this is about.

scaramouche hates abandonment, the thought of being betrayed angers him. his mother betrayed him, niwa & katsuragi betrayed him, the nameless boy betrayed him. they lied to him, he hates that. he despises them greatly because of it. the last thing he’d want is to be just like them.

scaramouche is just like his mother, he betrays others, much like with reader, whom he leaves, whom he lies about his love, his hatred & what not for them. whom he betrays. he tells them to ‘burn to oblivion’, much like how his mother says to be ‘torn to oblivion’. his attempted stone cold rule of sumeru similar to that of his mothers.

scaramouche is just like his mother.

scaramouche is just like niwa, he’s just like katsuragi, he’s just like the nameless boy.

scaramouche wishes to purge himself of all emotion, to be the perfect vessel he couldn’t be before; an emotionless husk, devoid of thought or feeling. and yet he weeps and sobs day & night when he finally realizes what he truly wants- what he truly needs.

scaramouche needs love.

scaramouche threw that love away when he threw away reader.

scaramouche is just like his mother.

man i love analyzing the funny hat guy he’s so complex and yet black & white, lovable & hatable all at the same time.

no wait bc you’re so right… scaramouche might act like he hates everything about love. the closeness, the connection, the affection, but he’s been deprived of it for so long bc of his mother he doesn’t think he wants it. oh but take it away from him and he will throw a tantrum, he will scream and curse at reader to come back to him. to prove him wrong that you would become another betrayal. but how would you have become a betrayal if he never seemed to care for what you gave him?

why do u only write no comfort angst... who hurt u omg

it’s a genre i found was lacking in .. variety, and felt i had stories that people who enjoy genshin and hurt/comfort would enjoy without the repetitive-ness that was happening at the time (reader dying for the most part)

My favorite Genshin Impact characters have to be scaramouche, heizou, kazuha, childe and wriothesley.

While i have strayed away from genshin these last few months I am suuuuper into League of Legends, Cyberpunk 2077, and Stardew Valley!

My favorite character to write for is Scaramouche and i love love love writing angst for him so feel free to send me some prompts!

While i was initially just a silent reader on here i decided to start writing for genshin because the angst tag was super lacking and repetitive and i felt i had stories that others would enjoy. whether it be from my own experiences turned FF or just purely off of prompts and ideas i have.
