Honestly, I wish people talked about all wlw and gen fic more — both of mine and, like, in general.

🌻 what makes you want to give up on writing? what makes you keep going?

Every time I fall into a bout of writer's block (which happened twice in 2022 - both caused by depressive episodes), there's a part of me that wants to just stop trying... but I [cockney accent] think that's the mental illness, luv. I'm also not super proud to admit that, sometimes, a lack of engagement does make me want to quit. It can be hard to pour a lot of heart into something and see it flop, as much as I'd like to say 100% of the writing I do is 100% for me.

That said, there is something in me that just can't quit. Writing is an outlet for me, and I have a natural drive to get these stories out of my head and write these characters. So I guess I keep going because it's who I am. 🤷‍♀️

It's hard to say what my favorite part about Vi is because I love so much about him. lol You do an amazing job depicting someone with mental illness that is on the road to betterment (I don't want to say recovery but y'know what I mean) and he has so many different facets to his personality and you really know what he's doing and how he's doing in the different verses we've interacted in. I also love that the relationships are so different. I don't feel like we're rehashing similar plots and that can be really hard to find sometimes. He's just a joy to interact with, even if we're just fuckin around on Discord. He's also lightweight and durable, very easy to carry.

I like how you explore every raw and real facet of Virote, while not being so pretentious or trite with how you go in depth with writing about his trauma, his happiness, his personality, etc. What you created here is an amazingly refreshing character I don't get to see in the rpc, and I really like how Vi breaks and defies tropes and stereotypes. it helps that what he’s experienced, i’ve experienced... from substance abuse to being put in the f*cking looney bin i am truly about that life and so are the ppl thatve been in my life personally. a lot of things i write, it’s what i know. like him having a shitty therapist that’s ineffective but means well, got it from my mom and her journey. domestic abuse, that was my journey for like 5 - 6 years. im rly not here to embellish it. he’s just a deeply traumatized, severely mentally ill individual that needs help. im not shy about writing it. i’ve experienced and seen everything he has.

and he’s getting worse and better at the same time. schrodingers recovery tbh!!!
