사이코지만 괜찮아 / It’s Okay to Not Be Okay Books by 고문영 (Ko Moon-Young) 📖 I bought the set of five books because I was very moved by the romantic & emotional Netflix Drama. I’ve been enjoying learning new vocab words and practicing my reading comprehension with these fairytale stories 🧚‍♂️ 📚 1.악몽을 먹고 저란 소년 - The Boy Who Fed on Nightmares 👦🏻 2.좀비아이 - Zombie Kid 🧟‍♂️ 3.봄날의 개 - The Cheerful Dog 🐶 4.손, 아귀 - The Hand The Monkfish 🖐🏼 5.진짜 진짜 얼굴을 찾아서 - Finding the Real Face 🔭 (the last book came with a sketchbook with Moon Sang-Tae’s (문상태) drawing as the cover and a few sketches inside) I definitely recommend this K-drama! Here’s a brief description: “An extraordinary road to emotional healing opens up for an antisocial children's book writer and a selfless psych ward caretaker when they cross paths” Main Actors: Kim Soo-hyun @soohyun_k216 (문강태) Seo Yea-ji (고문영) Oh Jung-se (문상태) #korean #korea #koreanlanguage #koreanstudy #koreanlearning #language #koreanwords #koreangrammar #한국어공부 #한국어 #한국말 #한국말공부 #studyingkorean #learnkoreanlanguage #koreanvocab #koreanvocabulary #koreans #koreanculture #문강태 #문상태 #고문영 #한국어배우기 #사이코지만 #itsokaytonotbeokay #사이코지만괜찮아 #사이코지만괜찮아책 #itsokaytonotbeokaynetflix https://www.instagram.com/p/CFUulhxhO6_/?igshid=p0bzj4u17uob

빵 터지다 ~ to burst out laughing (빵- bread) 빵- the sound produced when an object explodes, bursts 터지다- to explode, burst, pop This is a Korean slang. I try to think of it being similar to how we say “I’m dying/ I’m dead” when something is really funny. Ex: if you show your friend a funny gif you can say “빵 터지다” - thats so funny, I’m dying (of laughter), I’m cracking up 빵 터졌어- I’m cracking up, I’m laughing 저의 아빠가 빵 터졌어요- my dad was laughing/cracking up 그 드라마 보고 빵 터졌어요- that drama made me burst out in laughter Pic: remember this phrase by picturing bread exploding hahahaha 🥖🍞💥💥 #korean #korea #koreanlanguage #koreanstudy #koreanlearning #language #koreanwords #koreangrammar #koreansoul #koreansoulstudy #studygram #studyinspo #한국어공부 #한국어 #한국말 #한국말공부 #studygram #studyingkorean #learnkoreanlanguage #koreanvocab #koreanvocabulary #koreanaesthetic #koreans #koreanculture #koreangirl #한국어배우기 #한국어를 (at Koreatown) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8xLfhsBXgP/?igshid=fmllnv2rupem

흑인의 목숨은 소중하다 ~ black lives matter; black lives are precious ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿 흑-black 흑인- black person, African-American 목숨- life (목- neck, 숨- breathe) 소중하다- to be precious, valuable, dear, priceless In addition to 목숨, I have also seen the use of 생명 and 삶, which all mean “life” with slightly different meanings Black Lives Matter does not mean all lives don’t matter or that black lives matter more than others. It is the name of an international human rights movement that campaigns against violence and systemic racism toward black people.
