🔒 Who's more guarded with their secrets and who is better at sharing them?

Honestly, that’s pretty equal. At the start, they both keep their feelings and private matters to themselves, but as soon as they’re a couple, there are no secrets.

In regards to other people, it’s also rather equal. They do not share easily, and only with those closest to them. Which would be their sibling for both of them.

🎶 Who is more musical? (Bonus: can they play instruments or sing?)

Music is not really a thing with kalani, so neither, for any of this.

🦋 Who looks for magic in the everyday and ordinary and who needs it pointed out to then?

Damien is a bit more obvious about it, while at the same time completely oblivious to it. He finds beauty everywhere, watching the sky and the ocean and the moon and the raindrops. Since he isn’t aware he does it, he does not point it out.

Merridy sure can appreciate some things, but it’s mostly stuff that reminds her of good times. Artists on the market square, flowers that grew at home, stuff like that. It’s rarer, but she does have a habit of pointing those things out to Damien.

💕 Who is more romantic? (Bonus: how do they express it?)

Yvan is more into romantic gestures; a candlelight dinner, baking favorite cookies, a quick kiss in passing, stuff like that. For Cedric, it’s less obvious, especially to an outsider. They’re not all over each other when there’s people around, and his reputation surely doesn’t include silly little nicknames while cuddling. But he’s not big into words, so when he says he loves him, he means it.

They’re both hopeless, your honor.

🎀 Who has more talents/hobbies? Does the other ever feel insecure about this?

Used to be Damien, clearly. He learned to work with glass, was good at keeping the books, ran most of the household including cooking, and had a few other creative hobbies he later dropped. Meanwhile, Valadan was obviously good for nothing, and very bitter about that (: Just as he was bitter about the fact that Damien mastered both of his talents - illusions and teleport - while he only really succeeded at manifesting. He can teleport, in theory, but it’s super hard for him.

A decade and a fulfilling relationship later, and Valadan is much happier. He stopped comparing himself to others, especially to his brother, has a family and a job where he creates things, while also knowing that he’s a good fighter, even if he stopped working as a mercenary.

Damien is incredibly proud of his little brother, and while he does feel insecure about a ton of things, those have nothing to do with Valadan’s talents.
