Riff: Staggers weakly, using the wall to hold himself up. Refuses medical attention, "Not until my vod'e are seen." He rasps out, "Not until everyone else is safe." He staggers out of the room, intent to watch his brothers' backs while they're unable to do it themselves.

Grain: Accepts the medical attention, though grudgingly. He rolls out of the medical bed before he's healed and starts to tend to any other injuries. "I'm a medic." He says, his gaze focused on his datapad, "If I can't help, then I'm useless."

Go: Accepts medical attention when offered. Eyes sharp, constantly watching the medic, especially if they're not a vod. Preparing for the inevitable betrayal, preparing to defend his vod.

Xyn: Silently accepts medical care. Goes along with everything the medic tells him. Slips out of the med-bay and locks himself in his room with datapads and holobooks, neglects his sleep so he can try and find out what happened. How did he miss such an obvious trap? His brothers, his vod'e, are hurt because he failed them. It can't happen again.

Dorian: Refuses medical attention. He has to be sedated before he can be treated. He wakes up violently, confused and scared, and has to be restrained. He calms the fastest, though, when he realizes that he's safe and that the medic is safe.

The gifts of healing are so varied. Y ou may go and see ten people and every case is different. I am never happier in the Lord than when I am in a bedroom with a sick person. I have had more revelations of the Lord’s presence when I have ministered to the sick at their bedsides than at any other time. It is as your heart goes out to the needy ones in deep compassion that the Lord manifests His presence. Y ou are able to locate their position. It is then that you know that you must be filled with the Spirit to deal with the conditions before you.

Where people are in sickness you find frequently that they are dense about Scripture. They usually know three scriptures though. They know about Paul’s thorn in the flesh, and that Paul told Timothy to take a little wine for his stomach’s sake, and that Paul left someone sick somewhere; they forget his name, and don’t remember the name of the place, and don’t know where the chapter is. Most people think they have a thorn in the flesh. The chief thing in dealing with a person who is sick is to locate their exact position. As you are ministering under the Spirit’s power the Lord will let you see just that which will be more helpful and most faith-inspiring to them.

When I was in the plumbing business I enjoyed praying for the sick. Urgent calls would come and I would have no time to wash, and with my hands all black I would preach to these sick ones, my heart all aglow with love. Ah, you must have your heart in the thing when you pray for the sick. Y ou have to get right to the bottom of the cancer with a divine compassion and then you will see the gifts of the Spirit in operation.I was called at 10 o’clock one night to pray for a young person given up by the doctor who was dying of consumption. As I looked, I saw that unless God undertook it was impossible for her to live. I turned to the mother and said, “Well, mother. you will have to go to bed.” She said, “Oh, I have not had my clothes off for three weeks.” I said to the daughters, “Y ou will have to go to bed,” but they did not want to go. It was the same with the son. I put on my overcoat and said, “Good-bye, I’m off.” They said, “Oh, don’t leave us.” I said, “I can do nothing here.” They said, “Oh, if you will stop, we will all go to bed.” I knew that God would move nothing in an atmosphere of mere natural sympathy and unbelief.

They all went to bed and I stayed, and that was surely a time as I knelt by that bed face to face with death and with the devil.

But God can change the hardest situation and make you know that He is almighty.

Then the fight came. It seemed as though the heavens were brass. I prayed from 11 to 3:30 in the morning. I saw the glimmering light on the face of the sufferer and saw her pass away. The devil said, “Now you are done for. Y ou have come from Bradford and the girl has died on your hands.” I said, “It can’t be. God did not send me here for nothing. This is a time to change strength.” I remembered that passage which said, “Men ought always to pray and not to faint.” Death had taken place but I knew that my God was all powerful, and He that had split the Red Sea is just the same today. It was a time when I would not have “No,” and God said “Y es.” I looked at the window and at that moment the face of Jesus appeared. It seemed as though a million rays of light were coming from His face. As He looked at the one who had just passed away, the color came back to the face. She rolled over and fell asleep.

Then I had a glorious time. In the morning she woke early, put on a dressing gown and walked to the piano. She started to play and to sing a wonderful song. The mother and the sister and the brother had all come down to listen. The Lord had undertaken. A miracle had been wrought.👏SMITH WIGGLESWORTH

I'm a say this one time but Wen-wu is a nasty assed butt. (this isn't hate on the actor, I love him)

I don't care how pretty he is or how much pain he is in bc he lost his wife. His kids lost their mom, they didn't go assassin. He should have been their for them. there is never an excuse for abusing your kids.

Example: Hank Pym(mcu) was not right but he wasn't completely horrible. it was the wrong thing to do but he was depressed. But HE didn't (a) physically and mentally abuse his kids (b) train them to be an assassin or (c) blame them

He deserves crap in my eyes. You can't watch a 7 year old punch wood until his hands bleed and think huh his dad's not at fault for basically encouraging this. Ok, but he healed his hands! uwu good dad! He watched as his kid was hit severely, not saying a word, and encouraging it in the name of strength. he watched and did nothing as his kid was whipped for hesitanting to kick wood with a hurt foot. He trained a 7 year old to kill. So many things are wrong with it. He sent a 14 year old to kill a man half way across the world. he neglected his daughter and was just a butt to her. he throws his son down to the stone ground for objecting to what he says, and throws his daughter down for trying to stop her brothers abuse.

and in case someone cries racist please let me inform you that I am currently in a both Asian and abusive household. So if you disagree with this. Block me. and dm me so I can block you back. I don't give a fish fried fuck about the actors face. This forgiving abusers is teaching kids that it's alright, it's normal, your abuser is in pain, they didn't mean it. You missed half the movie if you thirst over him or say he deserves a happy ending for being civil for 5 seconds to his kids. and if you use this as a way to hate on Asians I will fill you liver with uncooked spaghetti. ACOWAR Eris

I opened my mouth, but a gag of fire shoved its way between my lips. It didn’t burn, but was hot enough to tell me it would if Eris willed it. Equal bands of flame wrapped around my wrists, my ankles. My throat.

Eris looked me over. The crown and dress. “You didn’t think that I knew your shadowsinger would come sniffing around to see if I’d told my father about your … powers? Especially after my brothers so mysteriously forgot about them, too. I knew it was a matter of time before one of you arrived to take care of my memory as well.” Eris tapped the side of his head with a long finger. “Too bad for you I learned a thing or two about daemati. Too bad for my brothers that I never bothered to teach them.”

Their father didn’t bother to check them. But Eris did. A step behind his father, Eris murmured, “Enough,” and his younger brothers fell into line. All three of them.

Eris deigned a glance at the Illyrian general and inclined his head in invitation, subtly patting his stomach. Ready for round two.

Out of a rip in the world, Eris appeared atop our knoll, clad head to toe in silver armor, a red cape spilling from his shoulders. Rhys snarled a warning, too far gone in his power to bother controlling himself. Eris just rested a hand on the pommel of his fine sword and said, “We thought you might need some help.”

Eris registered our shock at that, too, and said, “Tamlin made him. Dragged my father out by his neck.” A half smile. “It was delightful.”

Eris was bruised and cut up enough to indicate he must have been in terrible shape after the fighting ceased yesterday, sporting a brutal slice down his cheek and neck—barely healed. Mor let out a satisfied grunt at the sight of it—or perhaps a sound of disappointment that the wound had not been fatal. Eris continued by as if he hadn’t heard it, but didn’t sneer at least. Rather—he just nodded at Rhys. It was silent promise enough: soon.

Did anybody else think Lomo was like a Warren 2.0?

Do you guys thing Ruth and Dale were salty with warren’s dating choices? I mean if i remember correctly didnt vanessa plan to use dale to navigate the inverted tower? And she did get him stuck in the theifs net. And ruth didnt take her betrayal too lightly either. I mean obvi its not up to either of them but dale is his brother and vanessa locked him in a dungeon🤷🏻‍♀️Idk i just wanna know their reactions to the news

Has anybody thought about warren and lena’s relationship? How he might have been devastated by her death? Hes a catatonic albino in the first book when she gets put back in the pond and trapped as a shadow when she dies. Lena would be his great great aunt and warren kind of looked up to patton so he may have even begged her for more stories about him. Or maybe she’s the reason that he looks up to him? And boy lena had to have been reminded of patton when she was with warren right? We need some warren and lena okay.

Wait hold up a sec. Muriel knew about warren’s condition in the first book bc she made a remark abt dale being as pale has his brother or something (which i’ll add is very cruel to dale). So did they try to heal warren with muriel’s help? was the magic too powerful for her to undo or did the sorensons not deem warren worth untying a knot keeping an evil witch locked up?? Id like to think that they at least tried since there were two knots left when seth came in and surely theyd care enough about warren to try🤷🏻‍♀️ but then again they didnt untie a knot for grandma sorenson either.

ROTDS SPOILERS. warren dont show up till halfway thro the book. he doesnt do much. next time, he shows up he offers assistance and not much else happens with him. the next time, we’re *told* he got chased by a dragon. next, its the end of the book and theres not much of him there either. brandon knows warren and vanessa are fan faves so why deprive us of them in the last book only to kill the characters that did take the spotlight so quickly? why????

who thinks warren visits bubda since they were roomates for 3 months? does warren ever miss bubda?

whether warren gets injured in every book or not dont forget that he is in fact very competent. he navigated the inverted tower and lost mesa guys. no small feat.

in GotSP dougan is the leader of the group that goes to lost mesa but lets be honest. our boy warren did most of the hard stuff. he climbed up the lost mesa without a harness, went first through all the traps and dont you dare forget the chokepods guys. everybody else had a hard time with warren guiding them but he didnt have anyone to guide him. warren was the brave one im just sayin

bubda’s sole purpose for existing is to explain why warren isnt insane when they find him in kttdp

oh my goodness. if bubda wasnt in the knapsack would warren have survived?🤭 3 months of isolation wouldnt be easy and surely not with warren’s personality right? i mean warren IS a survivor but isolation will make anyone go crazy or maybe without bubda’s company he would have more easily lost hope and given up on them finding a way to rescue him.
