(this is gonna sound maybe preachy or pretentious but i'm a bit of a Letterboxd hater, and my reason is that i feel like most reviews are hollow and insincere and pandering to meme culture. it's as if everyone wants their reviews to be screenshotted and posted to other social media. it's tiring to see everything written in the language of memes and everyone trying so hard to be funny. i mean, some of those one-liners are funny, don't get me wrong lol but it's an app for reviews and film appreciation, so why does it feel like Twitter 😮‍💨 i think art demands real understanding and analysis. i know it's silly to be annoyed at something like this lol and i'm not even that annoyed. i'm just a big fan of being authentic and earnest when it comes to art interpretation 👍🏻 all that being said‚ i'd love to follow you regardless of what 'type' of reviewer you are. i'll be just happy to check out your favorite movies and i'll be respectful of the thoughts you share 💐)

Just the thought of a character who "betrayed" his home in order to protect a goddess who is just as likely capable of dooming the world because he believed in her is so fucking good and on top of that before his death he was willing to entrust her to a complete stranger in hopes that they would be able to take care of her and keep her safe.

He died hoping for a better future, hoping to save a world he wouldn't be a part of anymore, and I think that's fucking beautiful.
