Ok,yeah, I'm a huge Ryoken Kogami simp, i admit it, but guys, can we please stop pretending that he is a functual human being?
All the emotional abuse and trauma (and being a cyber terrorist) aside, he spends his entire time bullying computer programms on the internet. There is no fucking way he has a healthy sleep schedule, a healthy diet or workout routine.

haha It’s probably one of the most normal VRAINS fic ideas I’ve ever had. There’s no Lost Incident or Playmaker or Hanoi or anything. Ryoken and Yusaku don’t even know each other. They just both happen to be at the same place, at the same time. And they both accidentally walk into each other and Yusaku spills his coffee everywhere and Ryoken just “omg im so sorry” but he just got off the phone with a French contact of his and so he just. keeps speaking it without realizing. He could have corrected himself after the fact but oh hey wow Yusaku is really pretty??? How does Japanese work again??? Let’s just keep speaking in French because now he’s nervous and Yusaku’s confused head tilt is cute??? hahaha rip ryoken

I remember reading a post by you saying that you believed romance is never handled well in Yugioh. Since you're a hardcore datastorm shipper, do you think vrains could seriously pursue a possible romantic relationship between Ryoken and Yusaku or even just hint at such? I mean, Yusaku wants to -marry- seize a new future with Ryoken. Datastormshipping is the most popular ship in vrains by a landslide to the point I'm sure even the writers know about it. How would you react if it becomes canon?
Well here’s the thing when it comes to romance in Yu-Gi-Oh. Sometimes it starts out good, such as with Jack and Carly in 5Ds, but then something happens and it goes to sh*t. Okay sure you can blame that on the whole behind the scenes controversy when that came to Carly’s original VA being apart of a cult but then look at something like Yuya and Yuzu from ARC-V. Yuzu got turned into a damsel in distress and you all know what happened after that. And sure that can go back to the point of “female treatment” in Yu-Gi-Oh but romance and female treatment usually go hand and hand when it comes to this crap. Romance in Yu-Gi-Oh usually just leads to the damsel in distress trope or the female ends up turning into an obsessed fan.
As for Datastormshipping becoming canon, oh that is NEVER going to happen. Angelmakershipping has more of a chance of becoming canon then that just from the simple fact that Yusaku is the main boy and Aoi is the main girl. Do I want it to be canon? Normally I would say yes. I adore this ship but like I’ve pointed out, Yu-Gi-Oh doesn’t do romance right and since it is a Yaoi ship, I’m afraid they would stereotype it so badly. Not to mention the controversy that would form from it if it did become canon would not be good.
Speaking of which, what are Japan’s views on Gay Marriage anyway? If anyone knows, I would very much like to know myself.

Today, in the aus that I might not develop because im too tired: Vrains/angel beat.
Yusaku wakes up in a strange high school, meets a bunch of other teenagers who tell him that they’re locked here and the other people are like npc. Also there is Ryoken trying to make them “disappear” by living normal school life, because he knows that is world is actually an after-life. And all the kids here never truely had happiness in their life so here they can have a normal happy one. Stuff like this.

Aw heck yea B)Yuusaku is a monster made of brightly colored and super hot plasma! Most ppl cant touch him bc yknow.......hes molten,,,he does have a human form he can take on when he wants to but it doesn't really do much to make him less hot it's entirely aesthetics and if he gets stressed out he can't hold it anymore and has to go back to normal,,,,,when people try to touch him he gets really anxious bc he doesn't wanna hurt anyoneRyoken is a dragon shifter,,,,he's a smaller dragon than most and he hoards guns he steals form hunters. He can withstand really high or low temperatures so yknow....he can touch Yuusaku B) its sappy i know....but i LOVE it!!! Even tho hes a shifter he's terrible at holding his human form so he usually just lounges around full dragon or half dragon bc it's easier....also he may or may not be half brothers and rivals with another dragon shifterAoi is literally an angel shes got a big ol halo and like 6 wings and shes blinding....she got lost on her way back to heaven when she was young and Akira took her in and raised her. She can take a human form but she usually doesn't bother bc she has no reason to leave the forestAkira is an eldritch abomination whose form is ever changing! So no Earth or at the very least Go on 87′s cast list. If Lightning is going to use Earth’s death, or just Earth in general, against Spectre during their duel, there isn’t going to be any reaction from his Ignis because of it. Guess we can’t make Spectre’s death as heartbreaking as Earth’s apparently. Because again, let’s be real here, he’s not winning this duel.
No shocking names on 87′s cast list in general. Spectre just seems to have gone completely batsh*t insane at this point but that’s just normal with him when it comes to his dueling. I’m very curious to know how Lightning’s going to pull out the win, if it will be because of his skills or if he hits one of Spectre’s triggers because boy he has a lot Lightning can use against him other then Earth. Spectre literally lost it when Playmaker destroyed his Mother Tree during their duel. Before that, Spectre was going to let Playmaker lose by default when the bridge they were dueling on collapsed but Playmaker was able to convince him to continue the duel by using Revolver against him, saying how he wouldn’t be pleased if Spectre didn’t beat him fair and square. Then there is Spectre’s past. Like Ryoken, Lightning seems to know everything about everyone. Using the Hanoi Project against Spectre wouldn’t do him any good since Spectre loved it but I wonder if he will try and throw Spectre off his game by reminding him of the before or after it? I wonder if this or 86 could be the episodes where we learn Spectre’s real name? Because I high doubt that “Spectre” is his real name. Since 87 is called “Chain Destruction”, instead of it being the card, what if Lightning is just piling up all of these, one after enough, until Spectre just officially loses his mind and in turn makes a mistake from it that Lightning will use to initiate his comeback?
These next two episodes are really just going to be interesting for Spectre’s character. There is just so much development that could happen for him that will make us as the viewers feel so sorry for him before he is killed off. Like everyone wanted him dead during season 1. Funny how fast that changed when season 2 and Earth happened.
