for: @starbcrn-kids
main muse: Andromeda
guest starring: ngl we’ll see lmao
I told you one day, you’ll see, that I’ll be back. And Hell’s coming with me.
Andromeda slowly turned the coin back and forth between her fingers. Half golden and half black-stained copper, the gold side engraved with an ornate cross, the other depicting the flames of Hell. She set the coin on her thumb and tossed it up, letting it fall on the table in front of her with a clink!.
“Heads will roll,” the angel said flatly, taking it again and flipping it once more, clicking her tongue when it landed, “and cowards will turn tail.”
Oh, she was going back. Whether they liked it or not, she’d be back. And she easily had an army behind her; not just her brother’s, the one he’d amassed over the last few millennia, but her own, of other fallen angels and even one perfectly annoying mortal.
She was going home. And she wasn’t taking any prisoners.
She didn’t look up when she sensed Atlas, just continuing to play with the coin.

now that you're done endwalker, could you talk a little bit more about andromeda? im curious about what she got up to/how she grew in all that time
YES I’D LOVE TO endwalker was BRUTAL to her. and yet she still pulled through with the indomitable human spirit
Previously On Final Fantasy XIV (Andromeda Elo Version) style recap:
as you can imagine, her obsessive belief that killing zenos would instantly reinstate her as a perfect hero circa. stormblood went… poorly. the brief period when people thought she killed him and not that he killed himself in front of her did make her feel a little crazy
and then she went to the first and that kind of put things in perspective. or more accurately, gave her a fresh new slate for her hero image and an excuse to ignore her previous flop era
there was her whole thing with emet-selch. anyways
on that note, the only real canon deviation i made to shb was that when she’s dying of light poisoning she does, in fact, run off to the tempest by herself with the intention of killing them both. this doesn’t pan out and instead she spends about a week hallucinating in emet-selch’s torment nexus until some very upset scions come get her. i’ve drawn a lot about this. i will likely continue to draw a lot about this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
due to a cocktail of deep rooted mental issues and also the fact that he was truly just so miserable, andromeda doesn’t feel… great about putting emet-selch down. but instead of articulating this, because she’s convinced it’s not the “right” reaction, she bottles it up for about 3 patches
…until elidibus plays on her guilt and she receives azem’s crystal as a 1-2 punch. when y’shtola asks the wol after the fact if they’re okay i decided that she immediately bursts into tears
so now we arrive at the end times
there’s really no delicate way to say it but the garlemald arc was probably the worst thing she ever experienced. which is impressive, given her spring break amaurot excursion just happened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(i loved it though it might genuinely have my favorite writing in this whole game)
as i’m sure i don’t have to spell out, being treated as a foreign invader in the place she grew up was kind of a lot. she’s incredibly sentimental about her homeland- for as much as she hates it for how it rejected her (and the atrocities) and as much as she never for a second regretted her defection, her feelings towards garlemald are not dissimilar from the way someone might crave the recognition of a family that has only treated them poorly.
in fact, her traitor’s title of viator was never actually official- zenos referred to her as such, but never made his knowledge of her garlean citizenship public because he dgaf. and yet, despite continuing to exclusively go by elo and hide her origins, she privately referred to herself as viator caecus without much thought, in an act of blinding self-unawareness. (but as her god i know the reason, and it’s that on some level she likes that being branded a Significant Traitor still means being recognized by her former home as Significant)
anyways, speaking of her family: they sure did live in the capital! andromeda is trying really, really hard to be brave and pragmatically carry out her duty as Eorzea’s Champion but like…her mommy lives here :(
in the first of many acts that mean the jig of her supposed eorzean origins is pretty much up, she starts asking everyone they encounter if they’re aware of the whereabouts of a woman named lucretia eir caecus (for ilsabard contingent business, obviously. not because she’s terrified her mom is dead.) without much luck. the twins simply do not have the heart to tell her that this is a hell of a long shot.
(ONE person doesn’t know where she could be, but they do know of her and muse that the rumors must be true then- that this minor city bureaucrat really did have populares sympathies, if she’s a contact for the eorzeans. this comes as total news to andromeda.)
(also eventually, inevitably this get back around to their intelligence and thancred pulls her aside and grills her until he realizes what’s going on and pivots to Oh My God it’s fine that you miss your mom?! you should have come to us helping you look for her is the least we can do after everything. this is the second time a scion makes her burst into tears.)
putting a pin in that for now. in from the cold was . a lot. i don’t have much to say other than that it felt especially cruel to make her drag herself through the ruins of the city she was raised in while wearing the body of the kind of person who made her life hell. also in general that zenos knew what he was doing when he razed her hometown to the ground to get her attention. fucked up duty btw. her desire to kill him with a rock is back.
Tumblr media
after tower of babil/the moon/zodiark i deviate from canon a little bit again- she lets the scions do their mare lamentorum side thing while she goes back to garlemald to see what’s going on. not feeling great about maybe causing the final days.
and then she reunites with her mom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (<- part of her narrative that i had planned out as early as heavensward)
i want to draw this scene out in glorious detail but the long and short of it is that lucretia- who lest we forget, knows her way around a gunblade despite living as some military man’s obedient little wife for 25 years- had actually started trailing the ilsabard contingent from a distance once rumors spread that the wol was with them.
see, despite this not being officially public knowledge, she figured out that this “andromeda elo” was her daughter a long, long time ago, and it kind of snapped her out of the two-decade defeatist trance she put herself in for survival. (which is when she got involved in all manner of clandestine anti-state activities- she was rather dangerously close to getting in extremely serious trouble when civil war broke out and everyone kind of stopped caring)
so she followed them from a distance, falsely assuming that the daughter who ran away wouldn’t want to see her until finally getting caught and dragged in there
also she killed her husband in self-defense. allegedly. he was totally tempered i promise. he had it coming tho.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ANYWAYSSS that’s the chunk of edw i have the most detailed thoughts on. elpis was also incredibly harrowing due to um. her Whole Thing with emet-selch but tbh i haven’t fully digested the back half of the expansion yet because it is DENSE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(i do love it when two characters get one single transcendent moment when they're finally able to both understand each other though it makes me crazy)
two final beats that i think illustrate her mental state going into the finale:
when the final days descended, the number one thing that kept her from falling into despair was her reunion with her mother- while their relationship is far from magically fixed, the simple fact that she regained something she lost after realizing how precious it really was to her made her all the more ferocious about ensuring that she will never, ever give that up again
when zenos makes his final assertion that the two of them are the same, she rejects him- but this is because while it was once true, she has since outgrown that. she has outgrown him. and that’s why he loses.
...also she fucked drusilla at some point while learning reaper

⭐️!!!
Send a " ⭐ " and I will list muses I would be interested in throwing at yours // always accepting!!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hi!!! sometimes it kinda takes a second to get back to people, but! I'm doin' this now and hopefully it'll help with figuring out dynamics and such in the future!!! :]
━ First off, a LOT of your muses would work very well with my mythological ones!!! Orpheus and Alexander, Anais and Nyx ( or even Chaos ), Andromeda and Ares, Audrey and Artemis, Clifford and Dionysus, there's a lot of angles! even just to expand upon the last one, Dionysus is associated with Dolphins and ships at times because as a God of mania, people going crazy for months at sea isn't that uncommon + there's a myth of Dionysus being captured by sailors 'cause Pretty Young Man and being turned insane to which Dionysus then took as his followers, so he's got the associations to be in that kind of area! not to mention the fact he innately vies towards merrymakers and the miserable for, well, pretty obvious reasons as the God of wine and a whole bunch of things!
and Audrey would work well with the wild Goddess of the Hunt, same as it could be interesting to place Andromeda perhaps in the same realm as Ares who as much as he is the violence and death he creates, he is also the refugees and the families and the survivors picking up the pieces, something intrinsically linked to humanity, love and compassion even if the basis of war itself is not. There's a lot of routes just with them alone!
━ Anatoly, Karin, and Evren also come forth to mind! they're kind of my go-to's when it comes to my underutilized but flexible muses, but I could see them meshing pretty well with Penny, Chaim, Eve or Giuseppe for example! Anatoly is the nerdy nervous herbalist who tries to be brave, Karin is the kind of meanspirited sarcastic hardworking woman, and Evren is the 'doomed protagonist taking their fate into their own hands' and Kinda Spiteful about it!
━ for Five Pebbles, I also have a ( typically Marvel ) verse for him where he is an aaaaaaaaaancient piece of tech from before ANY recorded history rediscovered and brought back to functionality, which could VERY MUCH be interesting if it was, say, Giuseppe or even Gizmo who find him and try to get this INCREDIBLY old but also UNBELIEVABLY complex robot to function again :] who also has trauma :] incredible amounts of trauma :]
━ There's also of course Clark Kent who'd work very well with my DC and even Marvel muses ofc <3 but thats the most that springs immediately to mind. I hope it's useful in getting the ball rolling!!!

open to: whoever, supernaturals, vampires, wolves, witches mutants, humans, whatever honestly it’s a party. Tops /bottoms/verse / non-sexual people are all like, super welcome.
plot: It’s Magnus Banes Hallowen orgy / party / utterly wild night.
Muse: Magnus Bane.
Tumblr media
Magnus Bane was always the sort of creature who adored parties, to the utter suprise of no one. It wasn’t all that unsual for him to be throwing one every weekend but there was always something speical about Halloween.  It always made the parties have that much more of a depraved edge somehow.  Or at least, it certainly did if Magnus had any say about it. His entire place had been magicked to be that much bigger.  The bar in the centre room filled with various magical drinks that would be the finest tasting expreince of your life. The sort of expensive booze that one woudl so rarely ever get to taste, all for free or if you were brave enough to try some the pink, red, or blue drinks- they’d send you into an aphrodisiac fevour till you fucked or got fucked someone- which always proved rather popular at the orgy portion of the night.  He’d charmed the sky above the bar to look like an entire galaxy of stars- there was even a mini andromeda galaxy that would float by every now and again. There were various canbana beds around the bar with shades to hide a few of the party goers from view if they wanted a private spot to...grow intimate.  And even if they chose not to pull the curtian down, at least the rest of the guest would get quite a fun show.
There were more hidden surpises around the party, from rooms magicked to look like creepy cabins in the woods or a entire forrest. Or a private little oasis in the desert. After all, he wanted to give his partygoers quite the unique night.  There was even a room that was for a more free form sort of orgy, that was currenly filled with variuous lovers all groaning and moaning to their hearts content.
The man of the house himself was dressed as an Angel with large golden wings that seemed to fluttery realistically now and again- his eyelinds shone with gold glitter that matched those bold and hard to miss wings, as did his nail plish. It also helped, that the warlock was only dressed in a pair of tight gold shorts that did utterly nothing to hide his impressive bulge or the fine curve of his ass as he leaned over the bar to curl his hand around another well earned drink.

Ask for forgiveness
because why not? Nothing to lose, a lot to gain.
Enjoy the story.
--- How did you do it? --- Medusa suddenly asked without warning as she looked at Perseus --- Rather, how do you do it?
--- For the last time, Dusa --- sighed the hero as he carved a piece of wood --- don't bring that subject up again.
--- But my love... --- whispered the gorgon leaning against Perseus' side to quickly spank him --- Did you hear that?! Even my hand hurts!
--- Leave my butt alone, Dusa! --- spoke Perseus with a blush on his face --- Would you like me to do the same to your chest?
--- First, it's not as big as your buttocks.... --- answered the young woman simply, separating herself a little from her, now, husband --- Second... when Ophiuchus falls asleep, I'll make you moan with pleasure.
The stoic Perseus was all red in the face at what Medusa had said and with extreme embarrassment only nodded slightly. As he was about to approach her a boy was heard screaming and running as one of the geese followed him to attack him, causing them both to laugh and head for home.
--- Damn goose, I'm afraid of it --- Ophiuchus said with a chuckle as he looked out the window to make sure the animal was no longer there --- It wanted to kill me daddy! I know, I saw it in his eyes --- said the boy as he watched his father open the door.
--- The killer goose is always on the lookout for misbehaving children --- said Medusa to her offspring --- So behave yourself Ophiuchus or he'll eat you whole.
--- Mom is lying, isn't she? --- Ophiuchus spoke a little nervously.
--- I thought it was a lie too... until I lost a friend --- Perseus feigned a sadness in his speech --- the only way to keep him from following you again is to go to sleep early in the room next to the cellar.
--- But that room is far away from yours --- whispered Ophiuchus
--- You must be brave my son --- spoke Perseus while shaking his hair.
--- You will hear strange noises, but, you must stay there so that the next morning he will be weakened and your father can kill him by slicing off his head --- feigned in a dramatic voice Medusa as she let herself fall into the arms of her beloved --- And so tomorrow we will have goose and salad for dinner.
--- I understand! I'll do it! --- shouted Ophiuchus enthusiastically as after his parents let out a giggle. The boy ran off to his room, preparing to sleep in the room next to the cellar. In the meantime, Medusa laughed loudly at her son's innocence.
--- Now that I think about it, we could have left him with your sisters --- mused the Greek as he played with his wife's hair.
--- If Stheno sees you, she''ll slit your throat --- commented the gorgon with her eyes closed, enjoying the moment.
--- True, but Euryale would not allow her beloved nephew to grow up without his father.
--- Good point, other than I don't think Hades would give us another chance to be alive again... and Andromeda wouldn't be too happy to see you.
Perseus grimaced at the name of his former wife; a bittersweet subject for the former hero and king, the daughter of Cepheus and Cassiopeia, the princess with whom he had 7 children and a mythical lineage of heroes and kings. He would never deny that, in life, he loved Andromeda with sincerity and true love. But, within that same honesty, that is a thing of the past (a significant one and which does not detract from its importance) since he now had another partner and a son.
Obviously, when he died, he was greeted by the taunts of Stheno and Euryale (Stheno being the more aggressive with her words, while Euryale limited herself to ironic comments). Perseus, again young and healthy, burst out laughing at the irony of his death.
Blindness helped him kill Medusa, blindness killed him with Medusa's head itself.
The hero spent a long time, if that concept still resided in the Underworld, enjoying the Elysian Fields and the Island of the Blessed, however, the presence of the two gorgons made him feel certain danger and curiosity.
One day, with that curiosity (mixed with guilt), he went straight to talk to the most "diplomatic" of the 3 gorgons.
--- I want to ask for forgiveness --- Euryale was surprised to hear the words coming from the lips of Perseus --- Years later is when I learned of the tragedy he suffered. Please let me apologize to her in person or send her my apologies.
--- And why would I let you go near her again? To cut off her head again and gloat as you did in life? Ha, not a chance.
--- Gloat? If I cut off Medusa's head it was to save my mother, I did not start my adventure for good fortune and recognition but to save my mother from King Polydectes.
Medusa looked at the silver necklace that Persephone had given her, really the queen of the Underworld liked to help tragic lovers to make their love more possible. And obviously Hades wanted his wife to be happy, besides he liked Perseus, so he allowed them to walk among the living again. The silver necklace gave her back her human form so she could walk among them, and make their life easier.
Sometimes, especially in summer, she would take off the necklace to return to her monstrous form. To her greenish scaly skin, her bronze claws, her snake hair and her eyes became like those of a snake with red sclerae. It was a great relief that Perseus and Ophiuchus were immune to her petrifying gaze (when not wearing the necklace); the former being immune because he had already been exposed to the gaze and the latter was from birth.
Speaking of Ofiuco....
Explaining to him his whole story was really a challenge, and it was really more complicated to explain to him about his half-brothers... and more difficult to explain why one was a horse with wings, another a dragon and a giant. And why his uncle Heracles was also his nephew.
But that aside, Ophiuchus was a pretty energetic and mischievous kid who was also affectionate and curious. He usually liked to be outside with his father or with her when it was their turn to go to the forest; he could also be seen running in the fields and swimming in a nearby pond.
The little boy used to sit with his mother and relate everything he did during the day, even writing down his own adventures and reading them to her (while adding to them as he related his tale). With his father, he imitated with a stick how the ancient hero practiced with the sword; he also used to accompany him fishing while he enjoyed very much his father's anecdotes with his grandfather Dictys.
Medusa loved her new life, even with its problems and being exposed again to the wishes and misfortunes of the gods, which she lived with calm and tranquility.
--- Perseus, have I told you today that I love you? --- Medusa looked at the demigod with love. The black-haired man blushed at the words of his beloved, causing a laugh that Perseus would be charged.
--- My beloved Medusa, I want you to know.... --- he whispered in the young woman's ear causing a shiver to run down her spine --- that I love you more than yesterday, but not more than tomorrow.
They both looked at each other, on the verge of bringing their lips closer...
--- And here you are, kissing, while my nephew is fighting for his life --- the pair turned to look at Stheno, who with her bronze claws was holding the terrible beast that was tormenting Ophiuchus --- If you're so eager for some "alone time" you could have left him with us. Anyway, I'll go give the good news to the little viper --- and without another word, Stheno meandered over to where her nephew was. Behind her appeared Euryale, who took a few steps to the door where her brother-in-law and sister were.
--- Good job guys, you've created Stheno's second favorite thing --- joked the gorgon.
--- Give us some time and we'll create her third favorite thing --- Medusa replied playfully, blushing her husband even more with his impassive face --- I better follow her, last time she almost destroyed the furniture with her tail --- she sighed as she separated from her husband.
--- I remind you that I have a tail too.
--- Yes, but it's shorter because you have two legs. Stheno is completely snake from the waist down.
--- Oh, excuse us for not having only two legs like you --- guffawed Euryale at the tender, pouting look on her younger sister's face --- you should go now, before she destroys something.
Medusa let out a small giggle before walking off to her other sister.
--- Hey Perseus
--- Yeah?
--- I was just apologizing --- said the gorgon mockingly, making the hero blush even more.
Inspiration section:
I was thinking of putting the images on which I based the physical aspect... but I better put the meme on which I based the joke at the beginning.

violet / nasturtium / oak and pansy from the “ botanical headcanons ” meme for Sirius!
violet :   how does your muse respond to betrayal ?
i think i've answered this one before for sirius. let me see if i can find it. here.
nasturtium :   describe your muse’s relationship with their birthplace ,   or homeland .
sirius' birthplace is grimmauld place - london, in a broader term. he doesn't have too many issues with london in and of itself. fine place if he's not hanging around grimmauld place, or anywhere near it. ( as a child, the only place that has ever felt his was hogwarts; the only place that ever felt like a home was james' house. )
when he gets an inheritance from his uncle he ends up purchasing a flat in london - not renting, but purchasing. an instinctual thought - if it was his then no one could take it from him. and he wouldn't have to deal with muggle money over and over again.
( when he goes to azkaban; he still has this apartment - it was purchased in the muggle world so it wasn't seized. he doesn't realize it's still in his name for many years, when he finally goes back - he uses it as a safe house during the second war, and afterwards he uses it to house kids who are running from d.eath e.ater parents. )
but his relationship with grimmauld place? he considers it on par with azkaban in that it is just as much of a prison, but one that does not need dementors. it's just as cold and horrible and crumbling; it causes him just as many bad memories and isolation and disgust.
there were good moments in that house, of course - most of them happened when he was around andromeda, or regulus, though he'll never admit the former post azkaban. besides, regulus is dead, and he followed their parents to the end in sirius' understanding - those memories have soured anyway. )
oak :   who would your muse consider the strongest person they know ?
different people, different reasons.
there were times in his life when he considered this answer to be andromeda, for running away and doing what he was too scared to do as of yet.
during prison he considered it james and lily - brave but foolish, strong to the core. they'd taken harry and tried to save him and in the ends sacrificed themselves for their own son.
remus. he was truly left alone after sirius was sent to azkaban - everyone he knew was "dead' or a "traitor" and sirius regrets having him be alone, despite being alone himself. he considers him strong not just for dealing with lycanthropy - none of that ... i can't think of the word, but when - INSPIRATION WORSHIP SHIT here. he considers him strong for having to deal with society's thoughts on who he is, and for dealing with so much loss.
harry. brave and wonderful and kind harry who keeps himself kind despite it all. he grew up without someone to care about him the same way that sirius did, and it's strange because sirius wouldn't call himself strong - but he'd call harry strong. for dealing with whatever life throws at him. for dealing with having to be the chosen one.
alastor moody. for coming from the family that he did and choosing to raise his kids the opposite way, for the kind heart that is underneath the surface, for every single thing about his sexuality.
pansy :   does your muse often reflect on their own actions ? do they ever think a lot about the past ,   and what they could have done differently ?
every day.
less when he was a child - he had that teenage immortal bravado for a long time, until the war took the first of the order.
but later in the war? in azkaban all he could think about was what he would do differently, his mistakes. it didn't change after he got out of azkaban; he doesn't very much look before he leaps but he thinks a lot about the leap he just took when he's already squashed on the ground.

2,3,8,9,15 - questions about the muse
Questions about the muse | @roguexqueen
2- Who does your muse consider their worst enemy? What’s the story?
She has made quite a few enemies, and they’re all Imperials. The thing is, she’s not their worst enemy. A powerful asset when they do have her, but only a nuisance when she attacks them. Sure, her power may be able to cause MTs to go rogue and give daemons a power boost, but once those are cleared away, the Empire can easily repair the damage in a short amount of time.
It’s bold, but I think Andromeda’s worst enemy is Ardyn, if only because he’s incredibly manipulative (the Emperor is his puppet and even she can see that) and you can never be sure where he is. She puts on a brave face, but after the events in Niflheim, Ardyn terrifies her. At least Verstael and all of the other generals are pretty much stationary.
3- What was the best time in your muse’s life?
She has fun in Galahd and all, and she liked her childhood in Tenebrae for what it was, but the best time in Andromeda life had to have been her teen years in Lucis. Once she got out of the city and settled down at the farm, her life was almost normal (with a few of her hiccups). She got to be a normal (albeit sheltered) kid in a stable home. She lived there solidly for two years, and then during the summers and winters of the two years she attended community college in Lestallum. And even that time in Lestallum had been rather normal and enjoyable for her, too.
Andromeda could have lived like that until the Long Night fell, if she hadn’t been a stupid kid with a grudge.
8- How would you like your muse to grow in the future?
Her backstory has gotten huge and complex, and only more so because it’s going to be awhile before her story ends. One of the things I would like to see happen is for Andromeda to get close to people and form all kinds of dynamic relationships. Which I think would be easier to accomplish during World of Ruin because it makes her slow down a little bit. Before then, she’s on her own adventure and can’t stay in one place for too long. If it’s not someone chasing her down, it’s her restlessness. I’d also like her to have to deal with that; I assume some people would get tired real quick of her sneaking off and coming back whenever she pleases--especially during World of Ruin when it’s so unsafe.
I’d really like for her to get romantically involved with someone. It wouldn’t happen until WoR (again, because she would have to slow down). I think the biggest growth she needs now is in relationships. She seems to have everything else.
9- Is there anything you want to do with your muse that you haven’t yet?
Besides everything mentioned above, I feel as though I’ve skirted around Andromeda’s relationship with Etro. It’s complicated. Andromeda is not religious, but she does owe Etro some fealty for bringing her back to life. In the beginning, Etro said she was just free to keep living. As the story goes on, Andromeda is a little hesitant about what Etro asks of her. But at least once Andromeda does what Etro tells her to, she’s free to continue living (not sacrificed for some vague reason Bahamut would come up with).
There does come a time shortly after WoR begins that Andromeda reaches a breaking point. Etro hasn’t been upfront and honest about everything either as she pities Luna and plots against Bahamut. Eventually Etro would explain her banishment in full detail, and Andromeda would forsake her. She would still retain her powers, because Etro’s Blessing cannot be “cancelled” or taken back. But the goddess would have to call on someone else for favors.
15- Are you proud of your muse?
For as much work as I have put into Andromeda in the last year, I’m proud of the result. Of course, I’m also currently in the process of reviewing and rewriting a lot of her story. Not many people like her because she is a complex OC that breaks canon, but she is what I wanted her to be. I’ve learned that lesson through past OCs. It’s more important to me that Andromeda is what I wanted from the story, rather than whether people like her or not.

(apologies if you've already gotten any of these!) 2, 7, 16, 20!
2. What do you think it would take for your muse to reach their absolute breaking point?
Answered here.
7. What memories would your muse be shown if they were in the presence of a Dementor, and what physical reaction would they have?
Answered here.
16. Who is the most important person in your muse’s life and why?
Andromeda Tonks. Despite growing up around the Wotters and having many positive influences, at the end of the day, Teddy grew up with Andromeda, and she has always been the person they’ve gone to first with nearly every problem. She taught Teddy how to brew a good cup of tea. She taught them how to read with the Tales of Beedle the Bard. Andy taught Teddy how to be kind and fair, how to be strong. Teddy just ... loves Andy.
20. Are there any public figures or historical figures that your muse looks up to? Why?
As a child, Teddy loved hearing stories of their mother and father from the mouths of others. Tonks and Remus were strong and brave and amazing wizards. They were incredible people. Of course, Teddy heard their flaws and quirks from Andy and the Wotters, but there was a special place in their heart for these idealized versions of their parents.

an andromeda intro-post
Tumblr media
* ╰   zoey deutch  ;  17 ;  she/her  —— wow, andromeda black sure has changed. i guess she is feeling isolated from the other slytherin members. guess you can’t really blame them. i still remember them being so  independent  &  steely  now they just seem  secretive  & cynical.  guess being a pureblood  isn’t helping matters much either.  i’m hopeful though. they’ll be just fine.
you can contact me on here in those dms, or my discord is @ alex //#7484
character inspiration: sansa stark (got), astrid leong-teo (crazy rich asians), aphrodite (greek myth)
pinterest
whelve: (v) to bury something deep, to hide
she’s a warm laugh on a cold morning ; the flick of a wrist ;  the gentle clink of pearls ; lipstick smudged on the lip of a glass ; an empty, echoing hall in a museum ; fresh mists of expensive perfume ; delicate fingers brushing aside wisps of hair ; pointed heels abandoned at the bottom of a staircase ;  half filled decanters ; a thorn pricking an unsuspecting fingertip ; the slow build of a concerto ; the slam of a heavy door
so this is my girl, my lovely queennnnn
living the high life and hating every moment of it
she can’t find it in her to burn as fiery as bella’s strength or run as cold as cissa’s icy resilience. she is a shadow, a hazy mirror of each sister. similar and yet pale in comparison.
she has always been lukewarm, tepid, medium, her life a long and distressing line of just fine. thank u very much. even as her deepest secrets, dreams, and thoughts boil and bubble beneath the surface of a superficially perfect life.
if anyone were to care enough to ask, she is grateful for her lot in life. a smile always quick to slide into place, polished and content for the pre-destined plan. with her current family a shambles, she is afraid to even think of putting together a new family, the arranged marriage in her future is as terrifying as it is inevitable. she feels as though she will lose everything, her family name, the constant presence of her sisters, and her childhood.  her hesitation and dread surely caused by a demotion in title and status after all the notoriety that comes with being a  black.  surely nothing else more sinister and horribly selfish.
she can’t imagine she shall ever be happy. why should she be?  indoctrinated as she is, she has eyes.  everything she has witnessed could never be called ideal, as much as it was framed that way. warmth never lived in her mother or father’s heart for her. she sees and knows it, even as she struggled for some glimpse of approval that never came. what is it that they see that she didn’t want them to, something weak and dissatisfied and miserable. but then maybe she simply wasn’t looking hard enough. maybe the next time she blinks she will see something new in their gaze that will assuage the building gap.
the finer things enamor her, and not just the beauty of a delicate fabrics and rich color of wine but also art, history, music. each note and brush stroke a promise that there is something out there. something even better than what she silently resents. if only she were brave enough to seek it
an escapist in all facets, andromeda consumes and absorbs the things around her like a sponge, in search of something. anything to fill a space inside her chest that only widens and yawns at her efforts. she lacks for nothing and often balks at her own greed and dissatisfaction. but  “a golden cage is still a cage”  each small glimmer of happiness fading the moment it comes
andromeda is an observer. her eyes opened and lips tightly sealed. she sees and dangerously pieces together her own understanding rather than swallow the bitter pill handed to her. she sees and in some cases, judges.
her friends call her dro, or they would if she had any. jkjk she has friends at varying levels of trust. she could never quite commit to complete isolation, her observations fascinating enough to draw her into the fray. her small collection of those she enjoys betraying a weakness in her incredulity. (also bring on any other nicknames that that monstrosity of a name brings to mind. she’ll most likely pretend to hate all of them)
beneath her doubt, her fear of the unknown. she is a hopeless romantic gone to rot. she is distant, as untouchable as a masterpiece in the museum that is her picture perfect life. a thing more suitable for admiration than intimacy.
there is a feeling that no matter your connection to andromeda, that no matter your efforts, there is always something hidden within that she is keeping to herself. and it’s true. there is nothing andromeda would willingly show that she didn’t want people to see.
difficult to reach, to understand. she prefers it this way. guilt and shame shoving down the better parts of her self beneath the mask she is meant to be. the her that her parents beat her into, beat into all three of them with varying success.
while it’s true she is haughty.  impatient. a temperamental  black.  a life of pampering and promises forever ingrained in her world view. while good for her self-worth, it is probably off putting to some. there are at times promises of goodness, she can be thoughtful. intelligent. even driven to empathy when faced with tears, pain calling out to something inside her.
but if there’s anything her family’s mutilated tree has taught her, to bloom is to die. she pictures his escape  and subsequent increase in happiness to be the height of abandonment, of betrayal. how dare he leave (without her). how dare he leave her wanting and missing and heartbroken. she truly misses sirius and her head spins, chest aching and eyes burning at the thought of him. yet as always, she goes to great lengths to never reveal her secrets, instead giving her true feelings no form. buried while she looks on in envy and deeply buried hope. the boy thoughtlessly laying a path towards something selfish but impossibly enticing.
while hope is not her strong suit, andromeda is (to her great chagrin and misery) capable of extreme and consuming love. love of beauty and things. love for her sisters. but also her cousin. but mostly,  herself.  loyalties warring in her heart and tearing at a shaky resolve. at this rate, were someone else to steal one of the splintered, scattering pieces in her chest, it would be the end. the final straw for her unhappiness to be complete.
connections:
girl gang – give her all the best friends. the nicole to her paris. soul sisters. ovaries before brovaries. hymen heroines. those hoes she lives and breathes for. i think typically this would be fellow slytherins or ppl that she met through pureblood high society connections. OPEN
ex-boyfriend/girlfriend – ew this makes me sad and emotions are hard to deAL. basically this will be all angst city. most likely andromeda would be the one to break things off since she wasnt always as skeptical of that familial pressure. depending on how their relationship was, she could regret it or be cold about it.  OPEN
rival/frenemies – these two are just too similar to get along. toxic pureblood society has pitted them against each other and no one is winning. okay but if they went from enemies, to reluctant respect, to almost friends?? MAYBE EVEN FRIENDS EVENTUALLY?? i would be here for it asdlk  OPEN
confidante – andromeda isn’t honest with anyone, not even herself. but this could be someone that she’s probably known for a long time who she possibly could’ve opened up to in a weak moment and now they’re bonded forever. she would feel indebted to this person for keeping her secrets and would do her best to protect them any way that she could. extra feelings if this person feels the same way and they can be sad, but also cLOSE, together. OPEN
secret school friend – maybe they were forced partners as prefects or a fateful potions class but andromeda found herself making a surprising friend in an unexpected place. she can’t help admiring their beautiful inner persistence/strength despite her reluctance and occasional snobbery. but now they’re older and she really should cut things off. for whatever reason, she just can’t let go. OPEN
banter partner – alright so this would be someone from the other side of the war that andromeda runs into all the time and they always seem to get into arguments! she’s not quite sure why they get under her skin but andromeda finds it difficult to step away from their confrontations. OPEN
muse – listennnn. this person would be someone that andromeda would just be enamored with, she would regard them very highly and make efforts to speak with them and be around them. if this person were on the other side of the war she would probably resent them a little but be unable to resist.  i’ll probably just spring this on somebody tbh?? since the relationship would be based on her own tastes. but this would be someone that andromeda would admire for their appearance– sure, but also for the aura that they project.
but yes!! msg me if you’d like to plot and i’m honestly open to any connections!! her past is pretty open ended and she hasn’t quite left her family just yet so she could have loyalties all over the place

send  ❛ ♡ ❜  to suddenly hug my muse (not accepting) | @eccentricauror
It’s 1975. Nymphadora is three; Sirius is uncertain, and Andromeda is doing the washing up (by hand).
“I just don’t know how much longer I can bear it,” Sirius says glumly, and reaches out to tweak Nymphadora’s nose. She laughs, and he lets her catch his fingers the next time he tries. He doesn’t get to visit often—between school and Walburga, he’s not exactly at liberty—but he never passes up the opportunity. Andy has always been his favourite cousin, and (actual complicated familial ties aside) he’d claimed Nymphadora as his honorary niece almost at once.
Mostly, he’s just sort of sad that he can’t play with her as Padfoot. Andy would go spare, if she found out what he’d done, though, so that’s off the table. Perhaps one day when she’s old enough to promise to keep a secret, and Andromeda and Ted are elsewhere.
“Puppy,” Andromeda sighs—she’s called him that since he was five or six, and the irony isn’t lost on him—and dries her hands off. “You’ve got to stop acting like your mother rules the world. She doesn’t, you know.”
“She might as well,” Sirius mutters. “Until I’m seventeen, anyway. Get off, you little monster, that’s my hair.” Dora laughs again, tugs the handful of hair that she’s caught in her fist, and screws up her nose. All at once she’s wearing Sirius’ hair. He grins down at her, and the fondness in his chest is almost an ache.
“Well that’s only, what? A year away?” Andromeda points out.
“Almost two. Hey, who wears it better?” Sirius lifts Nymphadora so that they’re side by side.
“Mum, I got Sirius’ pretty hair!” his little cousin chimes in. She pronounces his name Sirrus. He kisses her face, and when she squeals, he does it again and again and again, scattering affection over.
“You look lovely, darling,” Andromeda says.
“Thanks.”
“I was talking to Nymphadora. She has less power over you than you think, Sirius.”
“Nymphadora?”
“Stop being deliberately obtuse. Your mother.” She puts her hands on her hips, and Sirius settles Nymphadora onto his lap, hoping that the sight of her own, beloved child might shorten the lecture that he’s clearly about to receive.
No such luck, apparently.
“How do you think I ended up here, Sirius? With Ted, and Nymphadora?”
“Well, one had quite a lot to do with the other, I imagine—”
“Sirius.” He rearranges his features, replacing his lascivious grin with an expression of rapt and somewhat unconvincing attention. Nymphadora squirms in his lap, arms outstretched, and Andromeda scoops her up. “It was all me, Sirius. I didn’t wait for my family to stop expecting me to marry well and play their blood-purity games. I didn’t wait to be allowed. I know it might seem scary, but the only person who can get you away from your mother is you.”
She’s probably right, but Sirius is fifteen and not as brave as everyone seems to think he is, and the idea of standing up to his mother is one that he can’t quite bear. It’s nice enough to imagine—grand gestures and pithy parting remarks—but thinking about the reality of it makes his stomach turn.
“She might still get struck by lightning,” he points out, mutinously. Andromeda sighs, and Nymphadora reaches back out for Sirius. He stands to kiss her head and she latches onto him without warning, tiny hands wrapping around his neck to hold him close. She’ll never feel like this, Sirius knows, and is almost unbearably glad of it.
It’s 1977. Nymphadora is five; Sirius is uncertain, and Andromeda is making a Christmas wreath.
Questionable ‘help’ arrives in the form of Sirius and Nymphadora, hands full of leaves and twigs, other bits and pieces scavenged from the garden that the precocious five-year-old had decided would suit being added to their Christmas decorations. Andromeda looks at the pile and them up at Sirius, who shrugs and grins.
Taking a seat, he pulls Nymphadora up onto his lap with an oof. She’s grown since he last saw her, and today she’s sporting festively red hair, framing her face in a hundred finely wrought curlicues.
“It’s weird,” he says. “Knowing I’ve had my last Christmas at Hogwarts.”
His tone is light, but there’s a fierce and aching sadness at the thought. As they get steadily closer and closer to the end of his seventh year, he finds himself desperately clutching at the days as they pass, unwilling to let them spiral away from him. Andromeda doesn’t miss a trick, and her hand rests—briefly, comfortingly—on his for a moment.
“Next year you’ll get to make your own Christmas,” she says.
“With James and Lily, I s’pose,” Sirius agrees. “If they’re not honeymooning somewhere.”
“Oh!” Andromeda says, delighted. “Are they engaged?”
“Might as well be. ‘Dora, pass me a pinecone, will you?” She leans across the table and takes a long moment to select the perfect one, which she tips into his hand.
“This one,” she says, decisively, and then she watches him with wide, grey eyes as he flicks his wand, and the pinecone shivers and turns a deep red. He hands it back and she laughs excitedly. “Now remember. Red is the best colour.” He tugs at her red hair gently and she looks pleased.
Andromeda, on the other hand, flicks a berry at him.
“You can always come here,” she points out. Nymphadora lights up.
“Yeah!” she echoes. “Uncle Sirius, stay for Christmas!”
“You just want another present,” he says, mock-accusatory. She doesn’t even have the decency to look embarrassed at the fact, grinning a gap-toothed smile and plastering on her best innocent face.
“Maybe if you didn’t spoil her so much,” Andromeda mutters, but it’s fond.
“Next year, maybe,” he tells her, and is secretly pleased at the invitation. He catches sight of his watch, and grimaces. “Right now, Uncle Sirius has to go and find all the presents he hasn’t bought.” Which, if he’s honest, includes all of them that aren’t for Nymphadora, Andromeda, and Ted, which were all picked up on the way here. Andromeda’s amused look suggests she might have guessed it.
Nymphadora hugs him tight when he says goodbye, face pressed into his leather jacket.
“You smell nice,” she tells him.
“Not as nice as you,” he tells her, and swings her around until she’s laughing, and kisses Andromeda on the cheek.
It’s 1980. Nymphadora is eight and had decided she wants to be called Tonks; Sirius is uncertain, and Andromeda is wearing worry on her brow that wasn’t there a few years ago.
“I just don’t want you to do be reckless,” Andromeda is saying, low and urgent and concerned, when Nymphadora—Tonks—comes charging in through the door, cardigan buttoned up wonky, and long, dark hair streaming behind her. She’s breathless, cheeks stained pink from exertion, and she barrels towards Sirius at a run.
“Uncle Sirius!”
Andromeda’s face is all at once smooth and smiling, as if the conversation they’d just been embroiled in hadn’t even happened. Sirius struggles to switch it off so quickly, but catches Tonks when she hugs him and squeezes her tight.
“Is that your motorbike outside?” she asks. “Can I have a go?”
“Depends,” Sirius says. “Do you want your mother to skin me alive?”
And Tonks turns a hopeful face to her mother who’s already shaking her head vehemently. “Oh, no. No, no, no. Nymphadora—”
“Tonks,” comes the stubborn interruption.
“—when you’re grown up, you can make your own bad decisions.”
“Oi,” Sirius says, indignantly. “Are you suggesting that my preferred mode of transportation is a bad decision?”
“Until then,” Andromeda continues, as though Sirius hadn’t said anything, “I’m vetoing this one.” Tonks stamps her foot and rolls her eyes, and Sirius fishes something out of his pocket; his fingerless biking gloves, dark leather and still new, edges stuff and unyielding.
“Better keep these until then,” he says, and tosses them to her with a wink. She pulls them on—a little big for her hands—and holds her hand up for a high-five. He obliges. “Go on. Go show your dad.”
She takes off at a run. Sirius watches her go with a soft smile on his face, but when he turns back to his cousin, he finds her looking utterly, absolutely wretched.
“Andy,” he says, taken aback at the way she looks like she’s about to cry. “What? C’mon. Promise I won’t teach her to ride it until she’s at least ten.” She half-hiccoughs a laugh, shaky hand rising to cover her mouth.
“I just need you to be careful, puppy,” she says, imploringly. “I need you not to do anything stupid.”
“I’m not doing anything stupid. I can’t just—sit at home and do nothing.” Her expression sours, brow pulling down low and dark, and for a second, she looks every inch a Black once more.
“Like me, you mean?” she demands.
“No!” Sirius reaches out for her shoulder. “Fuck, Andy, you know that’s not what I meant.”
“Fuck is a bad word.”
There’s a long, drawn-out moment where they stare at each other in faint surprise, and then Sirius turns to see Tonks in the doorway behind them. She’s got her hands on her hips, and Sirius’ gloves still on, and she’s wearing her mother’s face, every detail perfect but a slightly smaller scale. She’s even got the glare down.
Sirius ducks his head, and chokes down a snort.
“Sirius!” Andromeda hisses, and smacks his arm. “It’s not funny!”
“It’s pretty funny,” he says, his voice a little strained from holding down his laughter. Tonks grins, unrepentant, and it’s clear enough that whatever else she might have inherited, the edge of rebellion that lurks in his and Andromeda’s blood is there, too.
It’s 1995. Tonks is 22, or maybe 23—hard to remember, when so many birthdays have been missed—and Sirius is uncertain.
“You used to look way cooler,” Tonks tells him, with a tremulous smile tugging at her lips.
“You used to be way nicer about me,” he counters, with a hard swallow.
When she reaches up to hug him, to grab him with a fierce relief, he can’t help but notice that she’s wearing leather gloves: fingerless, dark, well-worn. They fit her now, but when he closes his eyes and returns the embrace, he remembers an eight-year old with loose gloves and a mischievous smile.
Certainty settles like snowfall, blanketing and muffling all the doubts and qualms and questions. Everything’s changed, and Sirius barely knows from one day to the next who he’s expected to be, and what he’s expected to do.
But Tonks hugs him, and he knows: he’s lost too much, but he’s still got family.

✵ for Annie & Orion
{ ANNIE }
Their first impression of your muse: She’s cute quiet.Current impression: Andromeda is brave, and beautiful, and strong. Everything she does takes Xan’s breath away, and she can’t help but worship her - honestly, there is no other word for it. Are they attracted to your muse?: Yes.Something they find frightening about your muse: How cold and distant she can sometimes become. Something they find adorable about your muse: Just one thing? Xan legit has a list of things about Annie that she thinks are adorable, but somewhere near the top of that list is her smile. It makes her melt. Would my muse sacrifice themselves for yours?: In a heartbeat.Would my muse go on a date with yours?  platonic/romantic: Yes, of course. And to anywhere and everywhere Annie would like to go. One word my muse would use to describe yours: Beautiful.Would my muse slap yours if they could?: No, never. Would my muse hug/kiss yours?: Yes, she would never stop if she thought An would be okay with that; but Xan knows how sensitive she is about being touched, by anyone or anything, so she lets Annie make the first move. Always.
{ ORION }
Their first impression of your muse: That Orion could be a useful asset, a potential ally for when she takes over her father’s business. Current impression: That Orion is an abusive piece of shit, and he deserves to die for hurting his sister like that. Are they attracted to your muse?: Completely despite herself. No.Something they find frightening about your muse: The way that Andromeda is completely at his mercy.Something they find adorable about your muse: Nothing. There is nothing adorable about Orion Magnussen period.Would my muse sacrifice themselves for yours?: No. In fact, Xan is actively plotting Orion’s demise. She wants him dead. Would my muse go on a date with yours?  platonic/romantic: No; she occasionally does business with him over dinner, but she does not want to date him.One word my muse would use to describe yours: Bastard. Would my muse slap yours if they could?: Without hesitation. Would my muse hug/kiss yours?: Hug, definitely not. Kiss, well, I’m sure they’ve shared more than one in the past, but she wouldn’t kiss him again. Not now.

INTRODUCTION — Hey ya’ll. I’m Chantel. I’m 32. I’m 100% Hufflepuff in real life. I live in hell. Whoops, I mean the desert of Arizona, but it’s kinda the same thing? Haha. Although, we are getting cold weather right now. So I need to enjoy it while it lasts. I am between jobs at the moment.
WHAT’S YOUR TYPE? — I am drawn to so many. I am usually drawn to fiercely independent, strong and brave characters. I am also drawn to misunderstood characters who people tend to write off and underestimate. I love exploring the deeper side of a character and looking beneath the surface.
WHAT DREW YOU IN? — I look for creativity in a group. Uniqueness. I also look for groups that appeal to my inner muse. I usually look at long apps and freak out but if a group is well put together and has something real to offer, I can actually sit down and fill it out.
FAVORITE FACECLAIMS? — I go back and forth between faceclaims a lot. I am one of the least picky people. My only real requirements are that I can see them working for the role and that they have enough resources because I get so frustrated when I can’t find stuff!
EXCITING SKELETONS? — Sagfdljfkgjlkf. So, my bby Andromeda had me the most excited and that is who I just put in my app for. But, I am also looking forward to seeing some other ones! I am looking forward to Severus, Rita Skeeter, Alice Longbottom.
ORDER OR DEATH EATERS? — Oh, I’m definitely Order. But, hey if the Dark Side has cookies, I might be swayed. :)
