Clyde: A baby what?
I’m glad I can’t hear Clyde’s response, but I can imagine what he says based on Maia’s reply.
Maia: A baby, a sim baby – you will be a grandfather soon.
Clyde: So, when’s the wedding?
Maia: We’re not getting married. Not yet, anyway.
Clyde: In other words, he hasn’t asked.
Maia: We’re talking about it.
Clyde: Put him on the phone!
Maia: I’ll put you on speaker.
Maia presses the speaker button, and I can suddenly hear Clyde clearly in the middle of his complaints. The loud voice on the phone scares Luna so much that she jumps off the couch and runs away. I think about doing the same.
Clyde: *on speaker* - don’t want to be on speaker! I want to talk to him in private.
Maia: So you can threaten him? No father. That’s not how it’s going to go. We’re a couple, and we’re in love. We’re having a baby together. So, you’re talking to both of us or neither of us.
My love for Maia grows in this moment.

Oh holy shit I think it's _ohu time. Showing up somewhere in Japan, which if I recall was already hit by Leviathan years ago and left in pretty bad shape. If they don't have a standing, organized force of heroes on hand, and their neighbors with the Yangban aren't likely to help out much, that thing is going to do a lot of damage before the Protectorate or anyone else can get there.
Wanton and Grace are right, too. It's the same tactics that helped take down Behemoth, being used by his replacement. Battlefield control, time bullshit, only thing not yet seen is some sort of stupidly strong energy weapon or maybe some Manton-less blade shapeshifting like Chevalier's power. It's certainly not something you want to just rush into without seeing more of the situation, but also nobody can really afford to stand back and watch.

Weight of a Feather, Assassin's Creed: Origins fanart, watercolour and acrylic gouache on hot press paper, 17.8 x 25.4 cm
This is one of those that I don't care if no one likes it, or if there are obvious mistakes/things that don't make sense, I'm proud of myself for managing to do it traditionally and that's that. It's for no one but me, I'm just sharing it with you :)
I started it in 2021, even began to paint it, but burnout is a bitch and I couldn't finish it then. Recently I decided to see if I could complete it traditionally and this is the result!
It was inspired by a screenshot I took where Bayek's face is entirely in shadow. I then added elements that relate to Ma'at, the goddess of truth and justice, and the ceremony of the Weighing of the Heart, where she'd weigh a dead person's heart against her ostrich feather, to see if they were worthy of going on to the Field of Reeds (a sort of paradise). (Egyptologists don't @ me 😭)

Back at home -
Maia: That was fun.
Wade: It would have been if we weren’t freezing our butts off. We seriously need to consider relocating to someplace warmer.
I’ve said more than Maia probably wants to hear right now, but that’s how I feel, and we’ll have to talk about it sooner or later. But for now, Maia retreats to the bedroom after changing into more comfortable clothes.
I sit at my computer to upload another video and realize I’ve completed the “Friend of the World’ aspiration. Now that my popularity has grown, I can make it pay off and begin securing our family’s financial future.
