What is Agneepath Scheme? | Agnipath Recruitment Protest
In this post I'm gonna share you information about Agneepath, that what is Agneepath scheme, why Agneepath?, why are people angry with this? Is this wrong or right?.
How to join the armed forces?
If someone wants to join the armed forces then there are two ways to do that first ispermanent commission and secondary short service commission (SSC).
Permanent Commission
People of different ages are needed in each wing of the army. Young people are needed in some wings so there as services for 40 years. Some wings requires up to 50 years. So in this manner each search we has a different age.
If you go to the permanent commission, so you have to work till the decided age of the wing in which you go. After you retire and after that you will get ex-serviceman benefits like pension, gratuity, etc.
Short service commission
On other hand, If you are selected for the short service commission you have to work there for 10 years. In some cases it gets extended to 14 years. After that you will get retired but not get pension.
So this is all about permanent and short service commission, which we divided best on the benefits and retirement.
There are also two levels on which rank you will go in the armed forces. First you enter on officer rank such as lieutenant, and the second entry is a soldier. After this you are promoted based on your experience and expertise.
In a new policy along with the permanent commission and short service commission one more thing has been added which is Agneepath.
So before we discuss What is Agneepath? Understand one thing. As I told you, there is an entry into the army force at 2 levels. One in the rank of officer and other in the rank of Soldier.
So the officer rank recruitment will be done as it used to be. There will be no change in that.
This discussion will run on the soldier level. The Agneepath scheme is for the recruitment of soldiers. Agneepath scheme has nothing to do with officer rank entry. It will continue to run as it did before.
In this, some people feel that the way the recruitment used to go on earlier, it will continue to run as it is. Simultaneously another scheme has come called Agneepath, so it is not like that at all.
Read an article in Indian express mentioned below. It is clearly mentioned in it that it is not optional. Now if someone talks entry at the soldier level, so he will get entry in only one way which is Agneepath. I am not talking about officer level.
Before we discuss, why Agneepath?, why are people angry with this?, Is this wrong or right?. Let's discuss what is Agneepath scheme?
What is Agneepath Scheme?
Whose age is between 17.5 to 21 years and is 10th or 12th pass can apply in the Agneepath Scheme.
The recruitment process of Agneepath Scheme is same which was done before like physical and medical exam everything will be the same in the recruitment process.
There is no opening for females currently but it has been said that the opening will be open for females as well.
Recruitment will be started after 60-70 days from today. In which 46,000 soldiers will be recruited and they will get more salary than the earlier salary.
This salary that was given before this was 21,700 for the first 4 years. But the salary of the application will increase every. The salary will be 30000 in the first year, 33000 in the second year, 36,500 in third year, and 40,000 in fourth year.
Now when agniveers will get the in-hand salary, because 30% will be going to the agneeveer fund and government will also deposit the same amount in the Agneepath will fund, similar to PF. After that you will get 11,71,000 rs in the end, so that when you retire after 4 years from the army you have some money. let's have a look below image for better u understanding:
You can also take a loan of up to 18 lakhs against this fund. and you will also get insurance of 40 at legs until you are agneeveer or in the service.
You tenure will be of 4 years, after the 25% of will be taken into the army, and the remaining 75% will have to go home.
Skill based bachelor's degree has also been arranged for these 4 years. In this, and MOU will be signed with IGNOU, army, Navy and Airforce, in which Agni Veer can enroll for bachelor's degree. In the first year you will also get entry and exit options.
Skill based bachelor degree arrangement for this four years are as follows:
Certificate in the first year
Diploma in the 2nd year
A degree in the third year
50% marks will be for the technical and non technical skills you will earn, the remaining 50% will be from history political science and economics, which you can avail from University with a credit system. So there will be no problem with studies.
See, policy politics seems very nice. There are a lot of things seems very nice:
Money is more than before, we are getting a loan,
Recruitment was stopped for long ago,
Now 46000 vacancies have arrived,
On exit, an amount of 11 lakhs is also being received,
and those who are waiting for 2 years the age of 23 has been set for them. It doesn't mean that criteria of 23 are also for everyone. The age of 2 years has been extended for the first batch only. The rest limit has been increased from 17.5 to 21 years.
And it is also said that you will be more disciplined, and will have more experience when you after living here, you will go to the society. So you will also get preferences in the job.
Police, CAPF, you will also get preferences in Assam rifles.
The government also announced that you will also get a 10% reservation.
Now you will say that everything is good as compared to before condition. Benefits are also available then why people protesting? Let me explain.
Why people protesting against Agneepath Scheme?
It is not as a simple as it looks. See reasons of people protests:
First thing medical benefits this soldier and his family used to get it, now they will not get it. Will not get pension. Will not get Gratuity. And 11 lakhs is a one time amount. If you compare it with medical and other benefits so it is very less.

Agneepath Scheme for Military Recruitment: The Union Cabinet took a historic decision approving an attractive recruitment scheme for Indian youth to serve in the Armed Forces for which a scheme has been introduced with the name AGNEEPATH.
The youth selected under the Agneepath scheme will be categorised as Agniveers. With the announcement of this Agnipath Scheme, a window of opportunity has been opened for the youths to serve their nation for a period of 4 years. If you want to become an Agniveer in the Indian Armed Forces, Here's what you need to know about Agneepath Scheme 2022, Agniveers, and other details. In this article, we have explained the Agneepath scheme, age limit and educational requirements for agniveers, how would the recruitment through Agneepath Scheme be done, what would be the salary and more details.
What is Agneepath Scheme?
Agneepath Scheme is a recruitment process launched by the central government wherein selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveers for four years period in Indian Armed Forces. The Armed Forces will be recruiting 46,000 Agniveers this year through Agnipath/Agneepath scheme. On completion of the four-year period, Aginveers will go to the society as a disciplined, dynamic, motivated, and skilled workforce for employment in other sectors to pursue their career in the job of their choice.
Agneepath Scheme is a step that is initiated for the recruitment of 46,000+ Agniveers to the Indian Army, Indian Navy and India Air Force. The entry through Agneepath Scheme would be done for a period of 4 years initially. During these 4 years, the recruits would be trained by the armed forces in the skills required. The Agnipath recruitment scheme is a transformative initiative that will provide a youthful profile to the armed forces. Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar said women will also be inducted into the armed forces under the new scheme. Officials, however, added that the recruitment of women under the scheme will depend on the needs of the respective services.
Agnipath Scheme Details- Latest Updates
Recruitment Details- For IAF, Online Registration has been started from 24th June 2022 onwards. The candidates interested to join India Air Force as an Agniveer can submit their application form for Indian Air Force Recruitment 2022 by
05th July 2022 (5 pm).
The Online Exam to start on 24th July 2022, the first batch of Agniveers to be induced in IAF in December 2022 and training to start from 30th December 2022 onwards.
For the Indian Navy, the complete calendar will be released on 25th June 2022, detailed notification will be released on 09th July 2022 and online registration to begin on 15th July 2022.
For Indian Army, Registration to start in July 2022, the first batch of Agniveers to be shortlisted for Indian Army troops in December 2022 and training to start from 30th December 2022 onwards.
Indian Air Force & Indian Army has released detailed Agneepath Recruitment Notifications on 20th June 2022 on their respective official websites.
Intake of 'Agniveers' to go up to 1.25 lakhs in future: Dept of Military Affairs
MoS Defence Ajay Bhatt's views on the Agnipath scheme- It's a good scheme. Despite clarity over misunderstandings, it is not right to stick to the demands... I appeal to the youth not to let go of this golden opportunity. There will be no problem in the future:
10% vacancies in CAPF: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said it has decided to reserve 10 per cent vacancies for recruitment in CAPFs and Assam Rifles for Agniveers.
Incentives- The ministries of home affairs and defence announced concessions and incentives that will assist Agniveers in their further employment. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said the PSUs under his housing and petroleum ministries are working on hiring 'Agniveers' after their four-year service in the armed forces.
Revised Age Limit- The upper age limit for Agniveers has been revised to 23 years.
Reservation- The government has announced a 10% reservation for ‘Agniveers’ in central police forces & Assam Rifles with upper age relaxation. Defence Ministry also came up with a 10% quota which will cover the Coast Guard, defence civilian posts and 16 defence PSUs, which include major ones like Hindustan Aeronautics, Bharat Electronics, as well as four shipyards and 41 ordnance factories.
Training- As per, Army Chief General Manoj Pande, the training of first agniveers will begin this December (in 2022) at the centres.
Shipping ministry announces 6 attractive service opportunities for Agniveers from Indian Navy for a smooth transition into Merchant Navy.
Agneepath Scheme Notification
Agneepath Scheme for Indian Army Recruitment 2022 Notification has been released on 20th June 2022 for entrance into the Indian Army. Around 83 recruitment rallies across the country are expected to be carried out. Indian Navy will be releasing the Indian Navy Agneepath Notification on 21st June 2022. The Indian Air Force Agneepath Recruitment 2022 notification has been released in PDF format on 20th June 2022.
Agneepath Scheme Details
Agnipath or Agneepath is a recruitment scheme for the Indian youth who wish to join the Armed Forces. Agnipath scheme, a recruitment process for individuals below the rank of officer, with the goal of deploying fitter, younger troops on the front lines, many of whom will be on four-year contracts. It's a game-changing project that will give the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force a young image.
What is Agniveer?
The youth selected under the Agneepath scheme will be categorised as Agniveers. Agniveers will be offered an opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment in the Armed Forces after a period of 4 years. The youths falling in the age group of 17.5 years to 23 years (revised upper age limit) who favour patriotism, teamwork, enhancement of physical fitness, ingrained loyalty to the country and availability of trained personnel to boost national security in times of external threats, internal threats and natural disasters can apply through Agneepath Yojna to become Agniveers.

The broad objectives of the Agnipath/Agneepath Scheme are-
1. To enhance the youthful profile of the Armed Forces so that they are at their fighting best at all times with increased risk-taking ability.
2. To imbibe the Armed Forces ethos, courage, commitment, and teamwork in the youth.
3. To provide abilities and qualities such as discipline, motivation, dynamism, and work skills so that youth remains as an asset.
4. To provide an opportunity to the youth who may be keen to serve the Nation in uniform for a short period of time.
5. To attract youth talent among the society to effectively exploit, adapt, and use emerging modern technologies with enhanced technical thresholds of intake while leveraging Technical institutions of the country.

Agneepath Yojna Agniveer Salary
The salary for Agniveers in the 1st year will be around Rs. 4.76 lakh per annum which increases to Rs. 6.92 lakh per annum for the final year. The anti-Agneepath protests are a perfect example of how Hindus across the country are only concerned with money and job security.
When our bhagwaans were abused, there was no outcry, but when it came to money, all hell broke loose. Money is the only thing that matters in Hindu society.
Those who claim to want to protect the country are destroying its assets.
Aspirants for the army are constantly protesting the scheme, causing a slew of issues.
The problem has grown to the point where the government has had to issue an order to shut down internet connections in Bihar.
Additionally, many people have been arrested for violently protesting the scheme by becoming arsonists and other means.
This anti-agneepath, on the other hand, is deeply saddened.
People in the middle class are losing their assets, such as their cars.
Those protesting should consider whether they are truly army aspirants who took an oath to save the country and are now causing harm to others.
This protest will get you nowhere, and you are unfit to join the army.
