Ladies and Gentlemen, may I introduce....Atalanteia! Or Teia, for short.
She is an original character that I created for my Young Justice fanfiction posts, visually brought to life by the amazing artist that is @ghostpainters !!!
PLEASE, check out her artwork! She did the best job bringing this character to life that I could have ever asked for! I’m not exaggerating when I say that she made the character look far, far better than I had ever imagined!!! I’m looking forward to working with her again.
Alexandra, THANK YOU again! Hopefully we’ll be working together again soon, you’re an absolute joy!

...Souvenir? (Chimaera AU)
A Young Justice Fanfiction
The Team celebrates the success of another mission. However, the Team’s newest member seems to have brought back a souvenir.....
~~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~
M’Gann blinked as the Team filtered out of the back of the Bioship. Looking at the group as they dispersed into The Cave, she couldn’t help but feel that something was wrong.
She couldn’t place it. She cupped a hand under her chin as her eyes narrowed. They scanned over each member as they milled about, chatting. She’d only taken 6 of them for the mission....
Jaime and Gar were laughing over some of the knockouts they’d scored on some of the League of Shadows assassins they’d fought. Besides the faint ice cream stains on their uniforms; they’d been thrown into an ice cream vendor’s stand; they weren’t any different.
Cissie was checking her quiver, taking stock of her trick arrows. Tim and Cassie were holding hands, whispering to each other and sharing small smiles. M’Gann smirked. She had a feeling she knew what they would be up to.
That left the newest of the bunch, Atalanteia, or as she’d said she preferred, Teia. The Atlantean was walking away from the group, both hands behind her back as she hummed a soft tune.
M’Gann’s lips twitched. Teia’s normal attire was nearly identical to Queen Mera’s. The only real difference was the black color and the gloves she wore. Which made it more than a little odd that the teenager was wearing a teal-colored hoodie over said outfit.
“Teia?” M’Gann called.
The Atlantean stiffened mid-step. Behind M’Gann, the entire team had stopped, watching with matching grins as Teia turned, flashing a smile that was far, far too innocent to be genuine.
“Yes, Miss Martian?” The girl batted her eyelashes. Sparkle Sparkle. The picture of innocence that was her expression was completely at odds with the way she’d begun to fidget, shifting from foot to foot. M’Gann stifled a chuckle. Teia couldn’t be more obvious if she tried.
Her eyes drifted down to the hoodie, then back up to...wait, it was moving. Teia’s hoodie shifted around her stomach, twisting and bulging. M’Gann crossed both arms over her chest, one eyebrow raised as she pinned Teia with a knowing smile.
“I think I saw that hoodie go flying down the street when we were fighting those shadows....so, why exactly are you wearing it?”
Teia blinked, reaching up with one hand and placing her palm under her chin. “U-um...I was...cold?”
M’Gann’s blank stare elicited a nervous look from the girl. A cold Atlantean...?
The hoodie continued to shift. Finally, M'Gann reached out with one hand. Her telekinetic powers tugged at the shifting mass under the hoodie, pulling it up through the piece of clothing’s collar to reveal....
A cat. A black cat.
“Teia,” M’Gann began slowly. The teenager fumbled for the small mammal, clutching it against her chest as she opened and closed her mouth, no doubt considering her answer.
“Um....Souvenir?” she asked hopefully, tilting her head to one side as the cat blinked and mirrored the same movement. M’Gann chuckled as she pinched the bridge of her nose.
“We’re putting the cat back.”
A little something silly I wrote up. This will be my first public foray into the world of fanfiction, so, I hope whoever reads it enjoys!
This is also a light introduction to one of the main component characters of this particular AU, Atalanteia, or Teia. She is, of course, Atlantean. Her origins and relations to the other characters are something that I’m going to let develop organically as I post some more of these. Although, I will give you all a little hint:
Feverish
A Young Justice fanfiction (Chimaera AU)
Being sick during a heatwave can suck. Being sick during a heat wave while some of your very attractive hero friends try to take care of you, wearing just enough clothing to drive you crazy?
That can really suck.
~~~~~~~~~~^~~~~~~~~~~
Teia winced just as the door to her bedroom opened, holding back a whimper as a dull throbbing settled behind her eyes. With her eyes pinched shut, she couldn’t see who had walked in. She felt a weight settle at the edge of her bed, and then the soothing, cool touch of a wet cloth against her forehead.
It didn’t happen often, but for all her physical strengths, her....unique physiology came with a few awful weaknesses. Getting horribly sick every so often was one of them. Dr. Palmer had explained it to her as a sort of chronic autoimmune disease. It didn’t happen often, but when it did, she would be lucky if she were only bedridden for a week. As it was, it was looking to be one of her worse ones.
It had happened a few times since she had joined the Team and the Outsiders, but never during a heatwave. And never once had it coincided with the Premier Building’s AC being broken.
Those two things combined had led to some....unfortunate circumstances. Like some of the others in the house dressing....a bit more casually. A lot more casually. And although Teia wasn’t romantically interested in them, (although they had teased her about having a crush on Kara, which...absolutely wasn’t true. At all. In any way,)she would have to be blind not to at least notice them. And just about all of them were, in her opinion, very attractive people.
Teia slowly, tentatively, opened her eyes.
They widened comically as Cassie leaned over her, dressed in a pair of shorts and a sports bra that left very little question about her figure. Teia felt her eye twitch as she moved closer, her chest very much right above her face.
“Feeling any better, Tey?” she asked sincerely. Teia swallowed. Cassie’s skin glistened with sweat, accentuating her muscles perfectly, trickling down her neck, along the slope of her collarbone-
No. Mm-mm. She was not going to go there. Not a chance. Teia inhaled deeply. Cassie would be going soon. She was just checking up on her.
“Um, a little I think...” she lied. Cassie smiled, pressing the cloth to her forehead again.
She had stood to leave when the door to Teia’s room opened again. She paled as Stephanie padded into the room, wearing a form-fitting tank top and a pair of boy shorts. She strode to Teia’s bedside and bent over, putting the back of her hand over Teia’s forehead as she pursed her lips.
“Sheesh, you’re still really hot.”
No, you’re really hot, Teia thought, mentally kicking herself. At least she hadn’t said it aloud.
She bit her lip as Stephanie unscrewed the cap on the bottle of water she was holding, holding it out for Teia to drink. Directly behind it, Teia could almost see down Stephanie’s shirt. It was impossible not to notice how the sweat that had gathered on her skin was clinging to her-
If she could have, Teia would have screamed. She was thankful that M’gann wasn’t there. The Martian would no doubt have heard her screaming inside her mind, even without reading it directly. She made an embarrassed squeak and pinched her eyes shut, quickly lifting her head to accept the drink. The water was refreshingly cold as it slid down her throat, momentarily relieving the heat that had risen to her face.
She laid back against the pillows on her bed. Over the pounding of her heart in her ears, she heard Stephanie and Cassie say they would both be back. She gave a sigh of relief as they turned and left, leaving the water bottle on her nightstand. She could try to cool down, calm herself and...
The door opened again.
“Hey, got an ice pack with your name on it, Tey.” Eduardo. Teia ground her teeth as he walked into the room, an ice pack in one hand, a towel slung over his arm, and a glass of iced tea in the other hand. He was only wearing a pair of basketball shorts. Like Cassie and Stephanie, the heat had left him covered in a thin layer of sweat.
Despite what Teia had to admit was a...ahem....very nice....muscular....chest, Ed was still like a brother to her. She totally ignored how, in the time since he’d joined the team, he’d grown a bit bigger, more....muscular, and....toned....She took a deep breath as he wrapped the ice pack in a towel. As soon as he left, things would be fine. Things would be fine, right? After all, there wasn’t anyone else who....
The door opened again.
Teia’s head lolled to the side. Who was it now? She could have sworn Gar and Violet were out on a mission with Forager. Conner and M’gann were also out. The others passed through her mind, one by one checked off her mental list. The only one who could still be at the Premier was.....
“I’ll take over, Ed. Dinah called from the Youth center, needs you there quick for something.”
Teia’s eyes burst open, her lips set into a thin, firm line as Kara strode into the room. Her hair was still wet from the shower, a towel slung around her shoulders. Her skin was lightly flushed, especially her thighs-
Her.....thighs.
Teia’s right eye twitched violently as Kara walked up to her, dressed, as far as she could tell, in just a big t-shirt. She sat down on the edge of her bed, crossing one leg over the other. Her skin looked so smooth.....Really, Teia thought, it looked mouth wateringly-
Gods, what the hell was wrong with her? Teia blinked and shook her head, doing her level best to keep her eyes on Kara’s face, and not her legs. Her wonderful, beautiful, long-
“Sure. I’ll be back later. And you-” Ed said, jabbing a finger at Teia with a knowing wink. “Try to beat this fever, and the heat.” He left the room. He shut the door behind him, casting another knowing look inside as it closed with a deafening click.
And with that, they were alone.
Kara lifted Teia’s head, propping her pillows higher and setting the ice pack on her forehead. The kryptonian reached over her, grabbing the remote for the TV. As she did so, she loomed over Teia. Some of her hair fell across her face, giving the atlantean a sample of just how good her shampoo smelled.
Whatever shampoo Kara used, Teia would have to find some. It was intoxicating, leaving her head spinning as she inhaled deeply.
“Need some more water?” Kara offered. She took the water bottle and brought it to Teia’s lips.
As she drank, Kara wiped her brow. “God, its hot.”
Yes, and so are you, Teia thought.
“What was that?” Kara asked, blinking. Teia’s face somehow turned an even brighter shade of red, flushed from the heat and from her embarrassment. Gods, was she really so delirious that she’d said it out loud?
“N-nothing. It is pretty hot.”
Kara chuckled. “You’d think with all the money Gar has, he’d have a private repair guy. Hopefully the AC gets fixed, or the heat lets up soon....not sure I can wear any less than I already am, you know?”
Teia nodded. At the same time, a small, traitorous part of her mind thought: I wouldn’t mind seeing you in less. A lot less.
“You’re mumbling, Teia. Say again?”
Teia bit her lip. She’d been thinking out loud again. She shook her head, licking her lips and leaning back against her pillows.
“Nothing. I-I’m gonna try to get um...some sleep. Yeah...”
Kara nodded, standing and stretching on the tips of her toes. Once again, Teia’s eyes flicked down to her legs, only moving back up to her face as she relaxed her posture and flashed the atlantean a heart-melting smile.
“Holler if you need me, okay? I’ll be on the couch.”
The door closed behind the kryptonian as she left. Teia sighed, relief flooding her as she silently cursed both her team and herself. Why did they all have to be so...so...attractive, and...and...fit, and....
She made an exasperated noise as she clasped her hands together, praying to every god in the Atlantean pantheon that no one else would-
The door opened. Traci strolled in, wearing....was that a bikini top and short shorts?
“Hey, Teia. Jaime and I just got back from the beach. Figured I would check up on you...”

Notes From a Dweeb:
I just.....had to make this. I was re-watching Season 3 of Young Justice, and when it came time that Garfield procured the Premier building, and Artemis remarked something along the lines of, “Yeah, what could a bunch of unsupervised teenagers possibly get up to :))) ???” Combine that visual with my remembering seeing someone here on tumblr posting a headcanon about the OG team probably being a bit thirsty over the mindlink (again, all of them were teenagers when the team was founded) And boom. First thing on my mind was how funny it would be to make a miserably thirsty Teia.
And of course, this is set in the Chimaera AU, an AU I’ve created pretty much exclusively for the mountain of ideas I have written down for YJ fanfic. Kara is part of the AU, although we have had no hints that she exists at all in the main show’s universe. (I’m hoping she shows up at some point though.)
As always, let me know if I could have done something better here. By the time I post this, it will have just been sitting in my drafts for a while, and I didn’t really do much revising or rewriting of it.
