imma try my best to be pissed without giving any spoilers.

I wanna beat the fuck outta that old man. I can understand that he was scared and shit but you can't just leave in the middle of an experimental mess out of fear, you finish what you started! Even if its too much for you to handle tALK ABOUT IT!!!! SO MANY THINGS COULD'VE BEEN AVOIDED IF HE HAD JUST SAID "hey I dont know if I want to do this anymore im scared of what might happen". What he did was selfish and gross.

I can understand why that lady looked out of her mind to her kid most of the time. She was trying to cope with the feelings of being abandoned. All of a sudden the animal she loved so much deserted her and left her to care for the aftermath of their love alone. I bet when he disappeared she sat there bewildered as to why he would do that to her eventually coming back to the conclusion of her diet. She probably blamed herself and thought of herself as a monster. By the time her kid came she was so far gone, she didn't even realize the creepy things she said to him.

The evil of lack of action

Spoilers for chapter 188 of Beastars:

True evil is not always what you do, it can also be the lack of action. To know that something should be done and not do it. To clean your hands and stay away from something simply because it could somehow harm you or be inconvenient for you.

Like Melon’s papa.

He was an adult, he KNEW what he signed up for when he decided to date a big cat. But he left once he decided he did not have the stomach to stay with a woman who might eat him one day. He left her to raise a hybrid child alone. Leaving your child and wife is bad enough as it is, but leaving a HYBRID child is extra horrible since they have so many difficulties growing up. And it messed up his wife who went bonkers and mistreated her own son.

And he smiles as he excuse it by claiming that “any guy” would have done the same.

Fucking asshole.

188 chapter of "Beastars" is out. I'm not that emotional about this one, but reviewing new chapters became some sort of a tradition on this blog.

It WAS Melon's father. He is an asshole. An immature coward who couldn't take responsibility for his actions. He left Melon and his mama bc being with them wasn't convienient. -_-

Gosha the family loving man is going to be SO PISSED next chapter... He thought Melon's dad was just like him. Gosha even destroyed all the tv equipement jurnalists brought.

That was epic by the way. He went from "I don't want to cause you any trouble" to that one scene from the Bible when Jesus is angry at people making market out of the shrine to "Please be careful or you'll die". And then he just walked thought the wall like a tank.

Spoilers for Beastars: Chapter 188

Warning for major spoilers!

“Revenge of the Love Failure is complete...” -- Melon, Chapter 188. Man, this arc has just been one crazy roller-coaster, and now that its reaching its conclusion, I’m a little sad to depart from it, as it introduced one of the characters that made me invested in this series in the first place. Hell, just knowing that Beastars is ending is making me a little depressed, as I wish I discovered it a year or so earlier. XD It almost reminds me of when I got invested in Game of Thrones, where I binge-watched it just as Season 6 first started airing (and when the writing for the show started deteriorating XD). No, Melon has not died (yet?), and I’m excited for the next chapter. I’m curious about whether Melon will get a chance to see his father before Legoshi kills him (if he does kill him, anyway), and seeing Melon’s father was a neat twist. It looks like Melon’s father will be an antagonist of some sort, considering his lack of a presence in Melon’s childhood helped contribute to Melon’s descent into villainy. Also, his last words (”Like any normal guy, I just left, right?”) gives me a bigot sort of vibe... Does Melon’s father look down on carnivores? Does he view them as heartless monsters only hungry for meat or something? We’ll just have to wait until August 19 to find out more about him, and see whether or not Legoshi does decide to kill Melon, right? XD If Melon does end up seeing his father, though... I doubt it’s gonna be a pleasant meeting, considering that the guy just up and abandoned Melon when he needed him most. WHELP. Time to wait for the 19th to find out how this all ends!
