Lady B: English Breakfast Tea brewed with Lemon & a lemon loaf (eaten with a fork she brought from home) 🍰

Captain: English Breakfast tea, splash of milk, also maybe shortbread biscuits. 🫖

Pat: Earl grey, milk, sausage sandwich, egg bites with ham & cheese and a cinnamon swirl 🥮

Kitty: strawberry & cream frappe (cream base, no coffee) with vanilla whipped cream, Java chips and strawberry syrup. Also a birthday cake pop & a ham/cheese toastie 🍡

Mary: oatmeal & smooth orange Juice. Might also branch to a youthberry tea on particularly adventurous days. 🥣

Thomas: (hot) caramel macchiato (shaken) with double shot espresso con panna, one pump caramel and hazelnut syrup with vanilla whipped cream, white mocha sauce and a dolce de leche milk base. Il non avere una buona memoria ha avuto come lato positivo l'aver potuto emanciparmi – quel tanto che sono riuscita a farlo – con più facilità, cioè per quel che ricordo almeno.

Ad esempio solo recentemente ho ricordato quanto fosse impensabile andare al bar, tanto meno da sole perché "femmine" e una femmina da sola non va al bar in mezzo ai maschi, se lo fa è perché è "spurtata" (zoccola). Mia madre tiene ancora questa convinzione, quando le ho proposto in passato di fare colazione al bar lei stava tutta elettrizzata perché wow andare al bar da sole, il brivido della trasgressione assieme alla paura che "qualcuno possa vederla" e dirlo a mio padre. Io negli ultimi tempi ho (ri)scoperto l'amore per le colazioni e vado tranquillamente a fare colazione da sola al bar, così come ho recentemente preso la passione per il caffè e allora capita che vado anche a prendermi un caffè macchiato fatto con la macchinetta e non con la moka (anche se siccome sono una golosona sinceramente pure se fatto con la moka per quel che ci metto, tra panna cannella e dolci vari, me lo faccio meglio io a casa! Così come il cappuccino!) o un ginseng perché sono una borghesotta del cazzo. I miei mi chiedono sempre, quando vado al bar, se sono andata sola con la scusa del "magari avete fatto una passeggiata con Fidanzato". Cosa c'entra in tutto questo la memoria? Che questa cosa dell'andare bar l'avevo completamente rimossa e che l'unica cosa che poteva riallacciarmi a questo discorso, che riuscivo a pensare quando andavo sola al bar era "wow quante cose che faccio ormai tranquillamente da sola", ma io lo riallacciavo al mio problema di forte insicurezza e al fatto che da adolescente avevo paura a mettere il naso fuori di casa senza la compagnia di qualcuno, con tanto di palpitazioni e ansia che mi portava quasi alle lacrime. Cioè lo collegavo ad un problema mio personale mica al fatto che sono stata vittima di una mentalità e di una educazione patriarcale e maschilista. Se mi chiedo come ho fatto ad "emanciparmi" allora dico che non lo so. Semplicemente prima la pensavo in un modo, adesso in un altro modo e me ne fotto completamente di quella mentalità che avevo.

Io per questo motivo detesto le pseudo-femministe in cui lottano per questo e per quello e poi scopri che nella loro vita non hanno mai subito un lavaggio del cervello dal quale si sono emancipate. Da loro non ricevi alcuna solidarietà, solo giudizio se ancora sei in qualche modo attaccata a quella mentalità. Ed io quando le sento parlare mi volto dall'altra parte schifata e con aria di sufficienza perché veramente queste non sanno cosa significhi essere vittima del patriarcato. Pure se una femmina fondamentalmente lo è per cultura vittima.

Can u tell us your favorite drinks to order alcoholic, coffee, regular etc I noticed Geminis have good taste that’s often attributed to Taurus placements

I am not a big experimenter but I like gin and tonic, red wine, Prosecco, dirty martini/espresso martini, amaretto and cranberry, White Russian. In the summer sometimes lime daiquiri. Coffee I will try mostly anything but usually I order espresso or a cappuccino with chocolate. I like espresso con panna and I like Irish coffee. I don’t remember how it’s typically called but in a lot of the bars here there are speciality espresso drinks (short) that I will try on beautiful mornings; hazelnut or chocolate etc

helLO flower friends!! the biggest volleyball tournament is going on in my country, and i’ve been so happy about the teams moving forward. in celebration of that, here is another haikyuu coffee post!! enjoyyy!!

aoba johsai:

oikawa: believe it or not, he just gets a regular ol’ grande iced latte with regular milk. he just isn’t an oat milk person. doesn’t care for it. plus, he prefers the familiarity of regular milk.

matsukawa: another pistachio latte lover, but he orders his with half the pumps for just a hint of sweet. also loves seasonal drinks, but the problem is that they’re seasonal; he never craves them during the right time :,(

hanamaki: somebody had to get the pink drink, and it’s him. he likes strawberry, but the plain strawberry açaí refreshers don’t do it for him. however; on other days, he’ll get a white mocha with strawberry sweet cream cold foam.

iwaizumi: passion tea. that’s it. he’s a big health nut, so nothing too sweet or with caffeine. he’s also vegetarian.

yahaba: he’s so snobby, so stuck up; a doppio long ristretto would suit him perfectly. don’t forget his single packet of sugar in the raw and half and half on the side…

watari: caramel macchiato with 2 pumps of caramel syrup. he absolutely loves the sweetness and warmth he gets from that drink, it makes him so happy T-T

kindaichi: mans will get a cappuccino to be fancy, but not like it. gets a con panna cos he’s cute like that, though he can’t escape the flack he gets from kunimi for “ordering a dessert before a study sesh”…

kunimi: iced green tea. he likes more subtle flavours, so this works perfectly for him. it will help him study, unlike kindaichi’s “drink”…

kyotani: a mango dragon fruit lemonade. he needs a sweet drink but he likes the acidity of this one.

Character Intro: Lyrikós (Kingdom of Ichor)

Nicknames- The Voice by the people of Olympius

Mama by her daughters

Age- 44 (immortal)

Location- Queenstown district, New Olympus

Personality- Having gone through incredible trauma in her life, she still stands tall with exemplary grace. She can be timid and easily overwhelmed by stress or intense emotions at times, but she's also sensitive, empathetic, & compassionate towards others. She's single.

She has the standard abilities of a goddess except shapeshifting. As the Titan goddess of voice & song her powers/abilities include super sonic hearing, audiokinesis (sings on a perfect pitch, can reach intense high notes that can shatter adamantine coated glass, and can make listeners temporarily deaf), & vocal replication.

Lyrikós is the mother to Aoide (goddess of voice & song), Melete (goddess of thought & meditation), and Mneme (goddess of remembrance).

A piece of jewelry she always wears is the pair of white gold diamond studded music note shaped earrings. Her daughters have matching ones too.

After living in Boeotia for several hundred years, she decided it was time for a fresh start. Lyrikós an her two youngest daughters recently moved into Diadem House- a luxury high rise apartment building in the Queenstown neighborhood of New Olympus. She recieved help with the payment by her good friend Mnemosyne (Titaness of memory & language). The amenities include a private elevator, a rooftop garden, and a sky high pool & hot tub. There's also a winding staircase made out of Imperial Gold, glass curtain walls, and barrel-vaulted ceilings. The interior design is modern & contemporary with the color scheme being neutral shades of cream, ivory, caramel, beige, taupe, and pastel pink. There's velvet and leather upholstered furniture, stainless steel appliances, & breathtaking artwork lining the walls. Lyrikós has two modes of transportation- her cream colored sports car and her pet pegasus named Halcyon.

A go-to drink for her is a coconut cream martini. She also likes cosmopolitans, classic martinis, bellinis, white wine, champagne, sparkling water, and mojitos. Her usuals form The Roasted Bean includes an espresso con panna, a cocoa cappuccino, & a medium apple lychee splash.

She always starts off her mornings with a session of meditation and tai chi.

Lyrikós is one of the unsung heroes of the Titanomachy. She doesn't like visiting the past, but knows it's the first step towards healing. Her beautiful singing voice provided comfort to the subjects of Titanius until music & merrymaking was banned by Kronos. She was then captured by the cruel Titan King, kept prisoner in a lightless chamber, and was kept for "entertaining" the King- singing until her throat burned in agony and dancing until bleeding sores developed on her feet. She was lucky to experience a few minutes of rest before his booming voice shook her from her core. It was like clockwork- Kronos would stumble in drunk off of wine & mead, then would command Lyrikós to "sing of his praises." Acts of compassion towards her cam when the Titan Queen would sneak in to provide her with a goblet of water or to leave behind a healing salve for her sores.

She sees two therapists biweekly- Harpocrates (god of silence & discretion) and Pathos (god of emotion).

It was a long time before Lyrikós felt comfortable with the idea of having children. She knew of course that she didn't want to do it the old fashioned way. She pleaded and made her offerings to Gaia and before she knew it she was expecting her first child. Being a mom is the most important thing to her. She loves being involved in her girls' life and though she was unsure & reserved, Lyrikós still nurtured and supported her daughters' natural musical proclivities.

Breakfast is usually a bonding moment for her & her girls. She'll make her signature ricotta pancakes (topped with whipped cream, marscarpone, powdered sugar, and powdered espresso) with baked eggs & sausages along with sliced brioche bread topped with butter and strawberry jam.

Her favorite frozen treat is the Cocktails on Ice peach white zinfandel ice cream!

Loud quick clapping is often a trigger for her panic attacks.

Lyrikós was one of the few Titans that didn't participate in the Titanomachy docu-series which was produced by Clymene (Titaness of fame & renown). She has often been approached with book deals, interviews, & talk show appearances, but she refuses, opting for a quiet enough personal life keeping the lid on her "Pandora's Box" of trauma shut away from the public.

Aside from Mnemosyne (who was the inspiration for her youngest daughters' names) and Clymene she's also friends with Eváeros (goddess of air & the zodiacs), Kéfi (goddess of mirth), Litismós (goddess of culture), Phoebe (Titaness of prophecy, the moon, radiant intellect, & mystery), Matikós (god of performance), Selene (Titaness of the moon), Philotes (goddess of sex, friendship, & affection), & Aígli (goddess of glamour). Lyrikós has thought about reaching out to Rhea (Titaness of fertility, motherhood, & comfort), but always changes her mind at the last minute.

She's well known in the pantheon for her delicious cannolis!

Her favorite thing from The Bread Box is the grilled chicken parmesan sandwich on lightly toasted brioche bread with a small chicken & gnocchi soup.

For income Lyrikós models for/endorses Heavenly Spark, Luxuria, Swimsilk, Ouránio Théama, Megaleio, and Euryphaessa.

She never thought she'd sing seriously again when her Aoide came to her with a surprising proposition- to sing a duet for a sing she wrote. Lyrikós remembers how nervous she was in the recording studio. On the evening of the Golden Laurel Awards, she & her daughter walked hand in hand onstage where they peformed an orchestral version of their song "Lacrime Agridolci", ending with a nearly five minute standing ovation! Lyrikós didn't care that she didn't win Record of the Year, she was proud of herself for overcoming one of her greatest fears.

She's currently not thinking about dating or being in a relationship, instead focusing on the healing process with herself. However, she has been enjoying her "me time" with her "special toys", gifted by Philotes.

Her guilty pleasure is thin crust magherita pizza!

Some of her favorite meals include spanokopita, tortellini soup with sausage, shrimp scampi with pesto sauce, & osso buco with garlic risotto.

In her free time when she's not spending time with her daughters Lyrikós enjoys jogging, meditating, swimming, knitting, writing in her journal, going to the spa, reading, listening to music (on vinyl records), drawing, going to museums, shopping, and going to the opera.

IMPORTANT HEADCANONS TO CONSIDER

CAN THEY USE CHOPSTICKS: Yes, In most of his modern verses, Guy is mildly OBSESSED with Thai cuisine, and even though traditionally Thai food is eaten with a fork and spoon, most restaurants default to chopsticks. As such, he’s had a great deal of experience with them.

WHAT DO THEY DO WHEN THEY CAN’T SLEEP: Typically he’s a light sleeper and doesn’t need more than a handful of hours a night, but when even that little bit eludes him he usually resorts to zoning out to some nature documentary or other, or losing himself in a book. If he’s truly desperate to sleep, he’ll read something in French - it requires more concentration and focus, thus making him tire that much faster. 

WHAT WOULD THEY IMPULSE BUY AT THE GROCERY STORE: He’s a sucker for ice cream, and the more interesting the flavor the better - his most recent purchase was a bourbon black cherry with dark chocolate chips. He ate the entire container in one sitting, no regrets.  

WHAT ORDER DO THEY WASH THINGS IN THE SHOWER: He starts with his hair and works his way down, which is really the most logical way to do things in his opinion.

WHAT’S THEIR COFFEE ORDER: Cappuccino. If he’s at a coffee shop that he trusts to make it properly, he’ll order a flat white, and If he’s feeling particularly indulgent he orders a doppio espresso con panna. In all cases, he prefers ristretto over basic espresso, but only if it’s done right.

WHAT SORT OF APPS WOULD THEY HAVE ON THEIR SMARTPHONE:  Email, textng (encrypted in situations where security is a concern) and internet access, of course; he’s also got mah-jongg and the Kindle reader app so his extensive library can come with him everywhere he goes. 

HOW DO THEY ACT AROUND CHILDREN: Guy is (surprisingly) very good with kids. With the little ones he’s the sort who will get down on their level, kneeling or sitting right on the floor to meet them eye to eye, and with older kids he’s got a rather “cool uncle” vibe that seems to win them over with relative ease. For reasons that completely mystify him, little girls seem to absolutely adore him.

WHAT WOULD THEY WATCH ON TV WHEN THEY’RE BORED AND NOTHING THEY REALLY LIKE IS ON: He would rather read at that point. Guy’s not really the sort to just watch for the sake of watching. Though if he’s at loose ends and he stumbles across a rerun of some bit of classic British comedy or other (think Fawlty Towers or Good Neighbours) then he might be convinced to watch for a moment or two...

Al Bistrot del Teatro, il primo giorno era qualche giorno prima dell'esame di semantica e pragmatica quindi diciamo seconda metà di Settembre e la seconda metà di Febbraio quella in cui con un cappuccino, li ho salutati.

Gelateria Gelart, che mi ha fatto capire che il gelato è buono se lo sai fare e non devi per forza andare da Bonocore a Capri. Preso un Tre meraviglie cono piccolo con doppia panna come mamma mi insegna.

Un ultimo saluto in realtà anche al B-Side, che mi ha conosciuta coi capelli+sopracciglia decolorati a caso da sola, fatto in quel Giovedì in cui mi avevano passata a determinato e lì ero davvero sola.

Robusta-Espresso hat nicht so viel Geschmack und Dicke wie Arabica-Espresso, aber die Robusta-Pflanze ist widerstandsfähiger und krankheitssicherer. Viele Organisationen kombinieren die beiden Sorten als eine, um ihre Mischungen herzustellen.

Um den besten Espresso zu liefern, sollten die gekochten Bohnen vom Espresso-Discounter entsprechend gemahlen werden. Um die Neuheit zu schützen, sollte das Zerkleinern nicht abgeschlossen werden, bis der Espresso zum Mischen geeignet ist. Es gibt zwei Hauptarten von Espressomaschinen, nämlich Kantenmaschinen und Gratmaschinen. Gratprozessoren gibt es in zwei Arten – ebener Grat und kegelförmiger Grat. Die Espressobohnen werden zwischen die Mahlscheiben gezogen und auf eine einheitliche Größe gequetscht. Gratprozessoren haben Einstellungen, die es Ihnen ermöglichen, die spezifische Plackerei zu machen, die Sie brauchen. Bei Kaffeemaschinen kommt feine Plackerei zum Einsatz. Zusätzliche feine Arbeit wird in alten Kaffeemaschinen und in Vakuumtöpfen verwendet.

Es gibt drei grundlegende Ansätze, um Espresso nach Pfund zu servieren: Bistro, Kaffee und Latte. Ein Latte ist eine Kombination aus Kaffee mit aufgeschäumter Milch. Cappuccino zum Beispiel wird normalerweise aus Kaffee, aufgeschäumter Milch und aufgeschäumter Milch hergestellt. Bistro Breva ist Cappuccino mit Sahne statt Vollmilch. Frappe wird mit gefrorenem Joghurt im Gegensatz zu Abfluss hergestellt. Mokka ist eine Art Latte oder Cappuccino, in den Schokoladensirup eingemischt ist. Caffe Americano wird aus einem einzigen Schuss Kaffee und 6 Unzen oder mehr erhitztem Wasser hergestellt. Coffee con Panna hat Schlagsahne beigemischt. Ristretto ist eine stark gewürzte Kaffeesorte, bei der weniger Wasser als normal durch den gemahlenen Espresso gepresst wird. In Lungo wird tatsächlich doppelt so viel Wasser wie erwartet durch den gemahlenen Espresso gepresst.
